  • "I went here with my wife on a Friday night for dinner with a 8:45 reservation. At that time of the night the restaurant was pretty dead. Maybe 20% of the tables were occupied. We shared the porterhouse and got the brussel sprouts and au gratin potatoes. Everything was very good. Not the best steak I've had in my life but not disappointed either. The "beast" red wine is better than their specialty cabernet on the menu for $3 less."

  • "Great dining experience, food was 5-star, but waitress fell short - not personable, helpful, seemed irritated at times, and spoke too low in a somewhat noisy environment and did not annunicate her words claealy. In short, she was very difficult to hear & understand. We asked her to speak up a bit a few times, but didn't maintain her volume level over the evening. All four at our table has the same impression of her. Perhaps, she is better suited to working at a Denny's .... definitely not a top-tier eatery. Finally, a few of the clientele flagrantly ignore the dress code - shorts, t-shirts & sandals/sneakers remove some of the magic of the night. The remainder of our dining experience was great."

  • "We received an invitation to the 2lb Lobster deal,which was a great deal, so we made our first trip to Mortons. Staff was attentive and setting is very upscale...as is the pricing! We were very surprised to see people in shorts, guess that's what people who drive Bentley's think is appropriate for an upscale restaurant for dinner! Service was prompt and attentive. Lobster was slightly overcooked, not to the point of being ruined, but just enough to know it was not perfectly done. It took a bit longer than we would have expected to clear our table, since service to that point had been impeccable. Overall, a pleasant dining experience and we will return to try the steak...afterall, Morton's IS a steakhouse!"

  • "Slow bar service, overly packed seating resulting in getting bumped continuously by waitstaff,, an "ok" waitress, people way out of dress code with t-shirts, shorts and sandals, foul language by patrons, steak med-warm, etc. NOT the ultra-premium dining experience that you would expect from a top-flight restaurant. Much better alternatives dining exist."

  • "After receiving the Email inviting us for the Lobster special, we booked a reservation for two. There was no notable way to reserve the lobster. My wife was looking forward to a good night out. Upon ordering the lobster, we were told that we did not reserve any so they would check to see if they had any extra and the manager even admitted that he thought that it was going to be a "long night" because of this glitch. AFter never really reciving an answer whether they had an extra lobster for her, she ordered something else. We have been going to Morton's for years and this was the only time we have been disappointed. The Open Table app needs to be fixed for such promotions."

  • "Morton in Detroit is always one of my "must" when I come in town. I have been to a few of mortons and this is one of my flavor along with the one in Chicago. However, the experience I had this time is somewhat disappointing. I had your veal chop a year ago and it was fantastic. I recommnaded to my friend and it was just acceptable. My strip steak is just acceptable also. Not as flavorful as I used to. But it is made to what I like. The wine was also not as good as I am used to when I visit Morton. It's fair but not memorable. Overall, it is a disappointment when compared with my other times with your establishment."

  • "This was our first time ever at Mortons and they definately lived up to their reputation. Our food came out HOT! Normally, at a fine dining restaurant, my experience is that one of gets hot food and the other gets one that's cooled off a bit - Not at Mortons! I had the 6oz filet and came perfectly medium! I've never had a souffle before and the chocolate was simply sinful! From the appetizers to the dessert - everything was simply perfect! We will return to celebrate our next special occasion - I'll have to think one up soon!"

  • "We celebrated my husbands first Father's Day here and were excited because of Morton's reputation however we were disappointed with the service and the food. We sat without a menu or even water for a good 10-15 minutes, then we were told some bread was coming to our table and none arrived so my husband had to ask about it. The steaks were ok, but I told my husband he definitely grilled better and it would've been more worth it to stay home. Dessert and our bill took forever to be taken care of; both my husband and I agreed that this would not be a restaurant that we would visit again; we felt lucky that we didn't spend normal menu prices and ordered from the Father's Day deal…even then it wasn't worth it."

  • "From the moment that we had to wait for our table to be ready, awkwardly at the door, to the time we finally got out 2.5 hours later, it was disappointment after disappointment. Server was slow and not attentive, food was not cooked to order and I could have gotten a better meal at Outback. Never got our beverage refilled, never asked if the steak was cooked okay so had to hunt down a server, the steak was never cooked right even the second time. Food lacked flavor. Don't waste your money, go to Ruth's Chris where they treat you well and food is amazing. This was a birthday dinner and they never did anything to make him feel special other than taking our picture. At Ruth's Chris, they make you feel very special."

  • "I was given preferential treatment for my birthday dinner with a personalized menu and birthday picture. The food was most enjoyable. The atmosphere was relaxing and the staff were congenial. The only problem I had was the bill. It had mistakenly added my complimentary birthday dessert, and forgot to take off the scallop appetizer I ordered, because I was already getting it with my mixed grill. I also noticed my free $25 rewards dinner was not deducted either. I hope this matter can be rectified. I would love to return again."

Considering the quality of that food, it is overpriced. we specially requested no pink inside but not too much burn out (I told waitress more than 3 times to explain). But they brought really really well done cook steak. No mosture at all. waste my $50 bucks staek taste. Bread and bake potato were good. other staek are good but I think I can enjoy less price at other restaurant. It's all done with Morton's in my life may be?"

  • "We look for excuses to go to Morton's. We have been 4 times in the past two years to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and most recently, our wedding. The food is always delicious and the ambiance is lovely. When we bring our friends they are thoroughly impressed. The staff is attentive and seem to really enjoy working there. You feel important at Morton's. It's a much pricier menu, but for a steak you can cut with a butter knife, it gets no complaints. "

  • "Food was good, but the waitress (Nicole) was slow. She took almost an hour to bring our salads which was the sliced tomatoes. Morton's was not crowded this night. Sad thing is the party next to my table sat down 20 min after us (same size party) and practically ate what we did from what we saw (salad, steak) and left 30 min before us. Our food arrived when they were paying their check. As a member of the President's club at Landry's I was extremely disappointed because usually the service is good. I would have understood had this been a busy night, but from what we saw, there were only five tables occupied. Total disappointment in staff and service. Last, we did not have cocktails, only water and pop this night."
