  • "I had high hopes for this restaurant. Great atmosphere very classy feel to it. The pear salad was excellent. The New York strip was grizzly and lacked flavor. I've enjoyed higher quality steak for far less money. My date ordered the Chilean Sea Bass, the meat was flaky but overcooked and dry. We enjoyed out sides more than the meal itself. The wait staff was very attentive and I enjoyed being at the restaurant but would hesitate to come back because of the quality our main course."

The food was delicious, but the kitchen was backed up so it did take a long time for each of our meals to come out. Other than that, we always love eating here!!"

We wanted to order drinks and it just took a long time for the server to come over. The food was very good including the deserts. I'd go back and try again during a less busy time."

  • "I was very pleased with our experience when we visited during restaurant week. Our table wasn't ready when we arrived so we grabbed a drink at the bar first. Our server was a little slow but other people would notice and check on us which was nice. My filet was great and tender! One of the best steaks I've had! My boyfriend tried the stuffed shrimp with crab which were good but not amazing. Sides were ok, had typical mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. The one thing I didn't like was the male greeter joked that my boyfriend stopped looking at his cell phone to talk to me but we had an ill family member situation...it wasn't very funny. Other than that I would definitely go back for another yummy filet!"

  • "My wife and I have been Mortons customers for 25 years. We first discovered the flagship store on a trip to Chicago. It was spectacular. Since Arnie Morton cashed out in 2011 and sold to Landry's, the quality of the restaurant, its offerings, the ambiance and especially the service has diminished markedly. With the stiff competition the Troy, MI location faces from the proliferation of premium steakhouses nearby, such as Ocean Prime, Capital Grille, Ruth's Chris and newcomer, Eddie Merlot, there is simply no margin for error. When it comes to paying super-premium dollars for a spectacular steak dinner, rest assured, the venue will definitely NOT be Mortons."

The Brussels sprouts were delicious, cooked perfectly, as were our other sides: broccoli and sweet potato. We had chocolate mousse and a lemon souffle for dessert. The mousse had a perfect deep chocolate flavor and the souffle had a perfect light lemony flavor. All in all, it was a wonderful dining experience."

  • "Being as this format leaves no room for a proper review here is the cliff notes. Made reservations online for 8pm, arrived at 7:30pm and wasn't seated until 8:25pm. Ordered our food and waited for 42 minutes for our steaks! Waitress would only come by the table and say it's coming. Manager came over to apologize for the delay after food arrived and told me that he was going to make sure my wife was good before talking to me! Very poor in my mind and I will spend my hard earned money elsewhere before putting up with stuffy attitudes on over priced steak!"

  • "My wife and I have dined at Morton's four times now over the past few years. We come here for not only the food but the ambiance and fantastic service. The service is impeccable, servers are extremely knowledgeable and kind, and the host staff is always going above and beyond. With that said, the food is usually great, unlike our most recent visit a few days ago. We both started with a glass of red wine. Bread was warm but not fresh out of oven. Wife had french onion soup (delicious) and fillet (approx 5 - 10 degrees overcooked). I had tuna tower (dif than last year, not good) and the surf and turf (med steak had burnt top, bacon wrapped scallops burnt on bottom so taste not clean). Usually, A+, this was B and not worth $220 tab."
