  • "Morton's in Chicago is one of my favorites. Steak is prime and delicious. Filet is always good. The Cajun rib eye is excellent; tasty not spicy. I love their creamed corn. The salads are huge so split one. We had a wedge (half a head of iceburg) and the Morton's salad. They actually have version of chicken strips for kids that was well appreciated with a side of shoestring potatoes. The service was a bit off. She was friendly but it took a long time to order and my daughter's dish didn't come until we were served even though we ordered for her when we sat down. We also had trouble flagging her down. The restaurant was practically empty so I am not sure what the issue was. Overall lovely dinner for our last night in Chicago. "

  • "Food and drinks were great, service was fabulous, and prices were absolutely through the roof. At 9PM the place was still half empty. Same old vinyl booths found 20 years ago, tired carpet etc. just sad to see them not reinvesting in this old landmark. We won't be back anytime soon."

  • "We were in Chicago for the weekend, celebrating one of our four's birthday. We made reservations online and clicked on birthday as the occasion for our dinner. We received much more than a fantastic steak dinner. From the minute we arrived, the birthday person was acknowledged by the staff. We had a menu that had Happy Birthday scrolled across the top. The waitress took our photo and gave us two copies, in black folders - for a birthday remembrance. The birthday person received their dessert complimentary, complete with a lit candle. On top of all this we had a delicious meal with wonderful wine, wonderful steaks, wonderful side dishes, wonderful key lime pie for dessert. Special thanks to all the staff, especially our waitress!"

  • "Our dinner was as expected. Great. Food was perfect. Steak perfect. Our waiter was average. He did his job but we had to ask for menus after 10 minutes. He was really intense but kept our food and drinks coming, so I can't really complain too much. Good location. Ambience is very "corporate." We were in. Good spot in back of the restaraunt and it was busy so a nice good overall experience. Steak and crab were awesome."

  • "Took a friend to Morton's on 3/22/14. We had an 8:30PM reservation. The service was beyond terrible. Took over 20 minutes just to Order soda/ water/ wine. People that came in after us had already gotten their appetizers before our waiter took our order. The food was just okay. The dining experience took about 2 hours and we barely saw our waiter. Did I say it was beyond terrible? A few things we ordered we were told they were sold out of... Sweet potato side and the chocolate cake. However, the people that were seated after us enjoyed the same chocolate cake I orginally ordered. I won't be back. I expressed my opinion to the managerial staff and they seemed not to care. I was told it was because I had a late reservation."

Special birthday menu, a picture of the 2 of us taken and placed in a "Happy Birthday" frame, birthday candle desert . . . just wonderful. The food and service was superb. I would absolutely recommend this fine restaurant for a delicious meal OR a very nice and special celebration."

  • "Great traditional Chicago steakhouse experience. We took my wife's parents there for their 45th anniversary and we all had a wonderful time. We left a note in our Open Table reservation that it was their anniversary and without any prompting they presented us with a special printed menu with their names on it congratulating them on the anniversary. They also took photos of us, printed them out and put them in a special envelope with a handwritten note saying congratulations (again unprompted). The in-laws loved that! The food was excellent, the steaks were cooked perfectly, the server did an exceptional job and all in all it made for a night to remember. We highly recommend Morton's for a classic steakhouse experience or a special occasion."

  • "I have always been satisfied with Mortons and have never been let down at numerous locations around the country. I chose this for our 1st anniversary while visiting family in the chicago land area. From the warm greeting and lounge like ambiance to the service provided by staff I cant think of many other places so perfect for such an occasion. Even though my prime rib was not on the menu this day, the steaks were amazing, sides full of flavor, and the cheesecake was fenominal."

  • "I would give this place a raving 5/5 but my steak, though amazing in quality (taste, marbling, etc), was unevenly cooked. I ordered medium and the center was medium, but everything around the edges was very rare. I ate it anyway and didn't regret it (quality of meat was marvelous) but for what we paid, it could have been cooked a bit better. Wife's filet minion seemed slightly dry next to my ribeye but I think that's just because my ribeye was amazing and fatty. Great wines, great wait staff (they even scrape the bread crumbs off your tablecloth in between courses), great atmosphere. We had their chopped salad and twice baked potatoes au gratin, which were also fabulous."

  • "You get what you expect from the name basically every time you go to Morton's. it is a very very nice place and everything is done to accommodate you, which is the way it should be for the price of their food. Everything is top notch including the service and food. Only on special occasions do I go to places like this, and even then it's rare. Paying $60 for a steak and $14 for a mixed drink is just a little absurd to me. But my wife and I do not get to get out of the house much anymore and it was nice to treat her to a very special birthday dinner. Everything was delicious and the service was the way it should be. Cheers to Morton's! Boo to the price!"

It seemed the restaurant didn't have enough help and almost felt that our waiter was going to forget about us since it was a busy night but we were not forgotten. The fact that we were worried didn't allow us to enjoy our romantic evening. I also thought the restaurant didn't do anything special for Valentine's Day."

  • "Wait staff provided the perfect amount of attention. Made us feel like they were there just for us. Provided excellent recommendations throughout our meal. Made sure our meal was timed perfectly to meet our show time reservation but never felt rushed. Each course of the was great, our entrees were prepared exactly as requested and the dessert and coffee provided the perfect ending to a great dinning experience. We have been to a number of Morton's locations and have enjoyed the same high level of quality at each."

  • "First time eating there. We had made 6pm reservations, but found ample seating at that time. It did fill up around 7-7:30pm, so reservations after 630pm would be highly recommended. The menu is "a la carte". We chose a Chopped Salad (split for 2) and the Baked French Onion Soup. AWESOME !!... my girlfriend chose the small beef tacos as her main meal, and I chose the "Chicago Bone In Prime Rib"... wow... both were incredibly good.. we also had the Macaroni and Cheese as our side dish.. WOW... after eating MOST of that (lots of leftovers), we split a slice of Key Lime pie... it was very good.. I would give our server, Sean, 6 stars..he was on his game...very attentive and we were not left waiting for anything... We will definitely be back."

  • "My girlfriend and I had a great experience here over the weekend. Although I had made the reservation, my girlfriend called ahead to see if they could do something special for my promotion we were celebrating. After we settled in our server took a picture of us and later brought us the photo printed out in a nice (paper) frame with a hand written note. The girl liked that. The food was fantastic. I made the mistake of ordering it med-rare which was a little too pink for my liking so it sent it back after a few bites and it came out perfect. She got the 8oz filet and it was like butter."
