  • "For us, Morton's was always the 'go to' place for a special occasion. We knew that we would get a great meal. The quality of Morton's has gone way down, at least the one in Stamford. The presentation of both the meal and the desserts is gone. And the choices, although expanded is very ordinary. The caesar salad was very good, but loaded with slices of cheese but not one crouton. The entrees were good, but they used to be outstanding. The portion size is a great deal smaller. One big example is the fresh berries with sabayon. You could easily count the number of berries (and it was a small number) and the sabayon was more like whipped cream."

  • "Morton's has delicious prime steaks! I had the baked seafood appetizer which consists of 1 oyster Rockefeller, 1 crab cake, 1 scallop wrapped in bacon, and 1 shrimp Alexander. It was delicious! My son had a tomato and onion salad ,and my husband had a chopped salad. All of us had steaks for our entrees. I had a porterhouse, my son had a filet, and my husband had a sirloin. For dessert, we ordered one chocolatiers soufflé . Morton's offers 4 different soufflés. We got to choose between chocolate, lemon, raspberry, and granmaniere. We recommend this restaurant."

  • "Morton's of Stamford is always a fantastic dining experience. This location is extremely well run. The managers greet you like family. All the servers, particularly Sal and Amanda, are the best. Their knowledge of the menu, their service, and demeanor are all top notch. Tony the sommelier has the most extensive knowledge of wine than anyone I have ever encountered. And since Dan has been the GM, this location has gone from a great restaurant to an extraordinary restaurant. And the food? The best. We've never had a bad experience. The peppercorn rubbed NY strip is fantastic! As is everything from the apps, salads, sides and fish. You will not be disappointed!"

  • "Went for my husbands birthday (he is a steak man) and he loved it. He has been raving to everyone how good. All of our entree's were great. I had glazed salmon (I don't eat steak), he had baby lamb chops, our friends had rib eye and pork chop. Everyone was very please with the entrees. I think dessert selection could be better. The ambiance needs some improvement (especially with the high prices at Mortons) people expect more ambiance. Overall dinner was great, service was excellent and we had a great evening."

  • "We had a small birthday party of 8 persons. We were offered a private room which we appreciate. It was a Sat evening and the restaurant was full. It would be quite noisy if we were to sit in the main dining room. We all selected different choices. Most of them were were good. A price for a couple of choices was even higher than in NYC. Otherwise, the service was very attentive. Before we left, the waitstaff presented to us a picture that the restaurant took for our party. A very nice gesture of the restaurant. We would recommend Morton Steak House as one of the appropriate places in Stamford for a small party celebration or for a intimate dinner. Overall, we had a good time that evening."

  • "We held my sons 18 birthday dinner at this restaurant. There were 16 of us. The staff was very accommodating and did go out of their way as a whole to make the evening a celebration prior to our arrival. Unfortunately, the food was a major disappointment and was not worth the money. I had to send my filet back three times until it was cooked as ordered along with some of the other diners at my table. I also had some serious stomach issues that I can only contribute to the Caesar salad when I got home. There are so many options in Fairfield county to eat which are far better than the meal we were given and I would not recommend."

Ducale Gold wine way overpriced on list. lettuce in caesar was wilted. whipped butter is a downgrade...like IHOP's. Onion loaf seemed not as good. Being forgotten by the server was the worst. Other: steaks stacked by the grill were in cryovac wrap...not an appealing sight. Sysco box in view. What happened to Allen Bros? On departing, coat check gave me wrong coat. Told us to go the the bartender to pay for our parking. We said, "you do it", which she did, but looked sourpuss. I know Tilman must refresh Morton's, but these missteps are serious and will hinder his success. Serious customer experience downgrade."

  • "Morton's is supposed to be a place for great food on either expense account or a special occasion featuring beef. Nothing about our evening was remarkable. In fact there are many local steakhouses that far exceed the quality and presentation. Food was not well prepared or seasoned. Steaks had that powdered grain taste. Nothing like the melt in you mouth experience from a really great piece of beef. Had troubles with the right cooking preparation so one steak made three trips to the broiler. Morton salad lettuce was wilted. Desserts were very commercial -- overly sweetened with no particular taste. On the plus side attentive service. A big disappointment."

  • "We were visiting for a special occasion, our son's 18th birthday. We had a few of his friends along. From the momment we introduced ourselves at the front dek it was a special experience. They immediately acknowledged the reason for being there and greated our son. They prepare d speical menu with a greating for him at the top. The server was great, dealing with four 18 year old boys. She gave them both a fun a respectful evening. The food was very good as usual. Steaks all cooked perfectly and sides that pleased. Service and presentation were tops. The wine selection is abundant and high quality."

  • "We went on Restaurant week....thought we would take advantage of the reduced price. The steak was great, the chicken had to be sent back...way too much oil. The salad was ok and the cheesecake tasted boxed and frozen. The valet forgot to bring our car out on this cold nite. They need some tweaking if they want the locals, otherwise it's just the corporates from the bank upstairs and one timers."
