  • "Morton is 35 years old and celebrated with a special 35th Anniversary Menu. The receptionists were friendly, manager was chatty and attentive, the food waitstaff was professional and the food was great tasting, except the portions were a bit on the small size (salad was good but notice-ably smaller than usual, and the filet mignon looked small, but tasty on the plate). Overall, it was a very good experience, but the person who waited on us did not present us with the 35th Anniversary menu until we asked for it (thought since it was the special, it would be presented to customers as a choice) and throughout the dinner, seemed a bit distracted as we interacted with her. Her service was atypical to Morton's level of excellence."

He "forgot" to place the order for a side dish we requested, and it was delivered to the table as we were nearly finished with our meals. A restaurant that charges $50 for a steak needs better service."

  • "Although I had received a couple emails about an anniversary special dinner, our waiter never mentioned it. When I asked he said it was available. I was the only one at our table who ordered it. It was $35 however he charged us $41. I made no upgrades to my meal. So it should have been $35. He forgot to bring our potatoes. I had to ask for the dessert that came with my meal twice. Food was delicious service was not great and restaurant was not busy. However, this has always been one of my favorite restaurants."

  • "Dined on Saturday night, 6/28/14 - the food was delicious and our waitress was very friendly, accomodating and professional. We arrived before our reserved dining time to grab a drink at the bar first, but unfortunately the bar was jammed. We went back to the hostess desk and they were more than happy to seat us at our table earlier than planned. I ordered the ribeye, my husband ordered the NY siroin and both were cooked exactly as we ordered them. The mac and cheese was outstanding too. We definately recommend Morton's for steaks, you wont be disapointed!"

He surprised me by taking me here, and as first-time diners at this restaurant, we have spoiled ourselves, and set the bar extremely high...Nothing can compare to how utterly perfect everything was...Customizing the menu to say Happy Birthday Victoria, having everyone greet us and cater to our every request, and the ambiance was a perfect mix of romantic and elegant, and truly made us feel VIP!"

  • "Purposely celebrated a surprise 18th birthday dinner for my daughter at Morton's knowing they would be overly attentive to her. From the moment we were greeted at the door, to everyone knowing it was her birthday (she was impressed), to the menus that had her 18th birthday on top, the nice family photo they took and handed to us immediately after to the Amazingly delicious food - it was exactly what I wanted for her - something for her to remember when she has an 18 year old herself. My parents took my there for my 21st birthday and I remember it like yesterday (I'm 47). The filet was delicious, the garlic green beans we could have eaten forever they were so tasteful, the chicken dish was equally as delicious. Everything was Fantastic!"

  • "Not only was the food excellent, they treated us with special perks. I wrote in the notes of my OpenTable reservation that we were celebrating my son's birthday and asked if they would put a candle on his dessert. A few days later I had to call the restaurant to change the time. The person I talked to asked what my son's name was. I told her I was impressed that she had actually read the comments in the reservation. When we arrived, the menus on the table were headlined, "Happy Birthday, Sam!" followed by the date. I was blown away. The hostess took a picture of the table and framed it with signatures of the Morton staff. Desserts were delicious, but without candle. I was disappointed until a complementary dessert came with candle!"

The prices were high but in the end, you truly have the delivery and quality - which made every bite worth it. This was a nice place to take a colleague in from Germany on her last night in Boston. She said it was the best ending she could hope for before returning home. She took pictures of her awesome mean and the wine!"

  • "At first everything was so great.. I came for my anniversary and eveyone was very warm and welcoming. Offered to take a photo for us and said they would even bring out a free dessert. First we ordered the tuna tower app which was great! Then about 50 minutes passed until we got our meal. I ordered the filet and it was cold like it has been sitting awhile. My bf ordered the Chicago steak and he said it had no flavor and was lukewarm. The Aspargus We ordered was also cold, but yet the potatoes were hot as they should have been. Seemed liked no consistancy. It was just disssapointing bc I had such high expectations and it was going well to begin with. So overall- that is why I gave it only 2 stars."

  • "This was one of the best meals I have had in recent memory. The service was fantastic and the meal was great. We started with Spinach Salads and the Half Dozen Oysters, then moved onto the Cajon Ribeye, which was cooked to perfection with a couple of sides. Cocktails were good as well. We felt very attended to from start to finish, and I loved the special details for a birthday dinner -- the personalized menu, the picture that was taken and given, and the delicious complimentary cake! I would definitely head back to Morton's for any occasion, the food was AMAZING! And our server Melinda was very helpful in dinner selection and overall great service from her!"

  • "Steaks were overcooked, but promptly replaced. After the correction, both of our steaks were delicious, but I was a bit surprised that a steakhouse could not get the temperature correct. The sides were decent; however the twice baked au gratin potatoes had too many scallions, which overpowered the flavor of the dish. Our waiter was loud and unprofessional, and appeared to be more interested in the larger tables than taking care of us. He mentioned four times that he was taking care of our desert since it was a special occasion. We sat with dirty dishes in front of us for ten minutes after dinner ( I had to ask head waiter to remove them) and our dirty desert dishes sat even after the bill was presented, which had errors."

  • "Tried Morton's for 1st time. we were greeted warmly but soon after our waiter greeted us, things went downhill. Our daughter described driving in Boston rush hour traffic was more relaxing than dealing with our waiter. Not very attentive either. Our food was alright (nobody raved about their meals) but all of the baked potatoes were not done..al dente. The soufflés ordered an hour ahead were awful.. must have been sitting under heat lamps because all of them were not the right consistency. We had to pull them apart with our hands....knife & fork would not do the trick. Dinner was too long. Our reservation was at 6:30 and we left after 9:30. I really wanted to like this restaurant but I know that we will not be returning."

  • "Had a more than great time having dinner here with my boyfriend. Our food was spectacular and service was impeccable. I think the overall bill was a bit on the expensive side, but our meals made leftovers for the next day. His menu was customized to say Happy Birthday Dave with the date and all, we were allowed to keep the menus for memorabilia. Furthermore, everybody at the restaurant knew who he was immediately walking into the door and wished him a happy birthday each time they saw him. I really loved my time at Morton's and would come here all the time for special occasions!"

  • "My family and special friends dined at Morton's in the Boston Seaport to celebrate my golden jubilee... and the Morton's team was ready for us when we walked in the door. A special table with a keepsake menu including the name of the birthday boy and date of event was already on the table. The server was on of the best I have ever had and I eat out quite often both personally and professionally. The food is always consistently good at Morton's; a few weeks earlier I had dinner at the Morton's in Reston, Virginia validating my claim. What was impressive this night in Boston was the first-rate service. Everyone made me feel very special on a date I will always remember."

  • "The food was as expected, but the service was unacceptable for a restaurant of the caliber that Morton's strives to be. Our party of six was seated at a relatively small table and the corner forced my wife's chair to within a few inches of the diner behind her. Wait staff and others repeatedly tried to squeeze through the too-narrow opening, bumping the chairs many times over the course of the evening. The waiter poured a beer into a four-inch head of foam, acknowledged "I got that one wrong," then did it again. We had to ask about the seasonal specials menu after hearing him describe it to the guests at another table. He spilled wine onto the table twice when filing glasses and did the same with the coffee, just missing my pants leg. "
