Morton's The Steakhouse, the nation's premier steakhouse group, specializes in classic, hearty fare, serving generous portions of USDA prime aged beef, as well as fresh fish, lobster and chicken entrees. Morton's is famous for its animated signature tableside menu presentation: steaks, whole Maine… lobsters and other main course selections, along with fresh vegetables, are presented on a cart rolled to your table, where the server displays and describes each menu item in appetizing and entertaining detail. "I had the shrimp for an appetizer and they were very good. I ordered the 6oz filet medium/well it took 3 times to get it right. I specifically said I do not want it butterflied, well apparently that is the only way they do the 6 oz but neglected to mention this. I sent it back and ordered the 8 oz instead so that it would not be butterflied and said medium well, well I had to send this back as well because it was to red. When I finally got my 8 oz steak cooked how I ordered it it was delicious. But I had to eat alone since my date had already finished his meal. This should not happen in this kind of restaurant. Also, I felt that they should have comped me for something maybe a dessert for having to wait twice for my steak but they didn't."

"Excellent restaurant, worth the price for the ambiance and the delicious food. I brought my boyfriend there for his birthday and told the receptionist when I made the reservation. We had our picture taken at the dinner table and it was given to us with a hand written happy birthday card. He also got soufle on the house. Service was excellent - very attentive and helped with food selection. We got the Chicago ribeye medium rare and it was perfect - we also paired with a cab and had the lamb. The lamb was the best I've ever tasted and the presentation was appealing. Overall, we had an amazing time and will come back for special occasions."

"Not sure why it's not great. Food was very good, grilled steak, lamb chops, etc., VERY pricey. Wine list extensive - also pricey. The "leftover" bin of wines they've discontinued carrying range from about $40 to $250. The highest end bottle wasn't anything I'vever heard of. Atmosphere nice enough but the fairly spare modern look did not reflect the price level. Service - excellent, attentive informed and smart. Everything is a la carte, side dishes in the 12 to 14 dollar range. Dinner for two with no appetizer two "medium priced" entrees, two vegetables + a good bottle of wine was $250 before the tip.

Bar snacks and cocktails are a more reasonably p alternative. I'd go again cheerfully but on someone else's expense account."

"I took my fiance' there for his birthday. He was greeted at the door with a welcoming happy birthday from the staff. The menu was specially created and noted his birthday on the top. We also had our picture taken and we were given a copy signed by the staff. We had lemon soufle for dessert and it was fabulous. The meal, as always at Morton's, was top notch. Our server Adrienne introduced to us the new and improved items on the menu. She made us feel like we were the only people in the restaurant. Thanks Morton's and we will see you soon!"

"Not the same ambiance as Morton's b4 on Boyleston. Filet mignon's charred crust really left a burnt taste but the medium rare internal temp was correct. VERY DISAPPOINTED by the service. We were so rushed. We ordered cocktails before dinner. Our server assumed that we did not want wine and proceeded to remove our glasses without asking. In the end 1 person just ordered a glass when we completely expected to order a bottle. While beginning dessert, our server asked if we valeted our car and I had to ask if we had to leave right then. During dessert our server assumed we were finished and took away our spoons and we had to ask for spoons again. Other servers seemed great, but the experience was so disappointing, we will not be returning."

"Mortons has been purchased by Landry's Group, who amoung others own McCormick and Schmick. As a Mortons Devotee, I must say it was my favorite steak house. Gone are the rolling carts presenting their meats and veggies wrapped in cellophane wrap. They have added many new entrees and other dishes to their menu. The twice baked potatoes au gratin were greasy and loaded with mustard. The mac and cheese was dry. They ran out of broccoli. Now the killer the New York Sirloin was $57.00. Sorry folks, that is too rich for my blood. Change is something we must accept, $57.00 for a steak is not."
