  • "Morton's made our 29th wedding anniversary very special! When I made reservations online I had mentioned that is was our anniversary. From the time we walked in the door we were congratulated and made to feel special! Thank you, Morton's for an amazing dinner and wonderful anniversary experience!"

  • "I took my husband to Morton's for a speciall dinner for his 30th birthday. We had never been before, so we were surprised to get personalized menus for the occasion. He loved it! What a great memento!"

  • "The Morton's experience is nice: elegant steakhouse atmosphere, attentive wait-staff, etc. However, the sticker shock is hard to take. The entrees are steep as it is (approx. $39-$55), but when you pay for every side veggie as an additional order, then mix in a round of cocktails, it racks up fast. The quality is high, but I feel like you can get great quality in places with comparable atmospheres for less than the cost of your next car payment. And they still want $5 for valet parking. Really?"

  • "Very good food, Excellent service but overpriced. Also we didn't like the darkness so much (no windows)."

  • "Wifey and I ordered the chilled seafood platter that was dropped off without the waitress explaining the dish, sauces, etc. The seafood seemed fresh but no flavor which means it probably has been frozen for a long time. It then took a long time to get our main dish, the Cajun Ribeye, (which was good to perfection), Twice-Baked Au-Gratin Potatoes (that came out cold!) and the heirloom carrots (yummy). We were going to see a show and didn't have time for desert.. They were nice, apologized and replaced the potatoes and removed from the bill. I think we just expected much more from a high-end restaurant. Probably wouldn't go back."

  • "It's not the best steak house I've been to. And, it's really pricey! I would try something else next time. The interior of the restaurant is nice, nice booths, understated in decor. It's not fancy but nice. The steak was a filet, not as tender as expected. The Au gratin potatoes were very good as was the cream corn, though it wasn't creamy like most "creamed" corn. Overall, the dinner was very good and the service great. The quality of the meal and the price did not match up."

  • "What a great night even with a 5.3 earthquake shaking everyone up. Wannessa Molson is the bomb. This girl knows her stuff. We had a table with three wine snobs and she impressed us all. Congratulations, Wannessa on your engagement. We wish you the best. You left three men with broken hearts but we are very happy for you.p"

  • "Everything was fantastic! Great food and excellent service."

  • "The new decor at Morton's was very contemporary with beautiful lighting fixtures and more cozy booths. The Morton's salad was a basic salad, the veal chop was 2/3 fat (and would not be recommended for veal chop lovers), and the New York strip was a little tough. The carrot cake was tasty. The service was very good."

  • "Although the high prices were expected, the less than exceptional food was not. Everything was just "okay". The filet was cooked perfectly, but the Bernaise sauce I had requested had separated. My iced tea was refilled only once all evening, and I had to ask for it. The complimentary birthday souffle was a very nice touch and quite tasty, but apparently our waitress didn't put the order in when she should have, because we waited an extra 20-30 minutes for it. Next time we choose a Landry's restaurant, we'll just go to Claim Jumper. And for special occasions, we'll return to The Palm for exceptional steak and lobster that better match the high prices."

  • "From the moment we arrived to we felt rushed to order even tho I told the waitress we were not in a hurry and would like to relax with our beverages. My steak was Medium /rare but the surface was too seared. Not really a $200.00 meal for a special occasion. Noise level not conducive to table conversation."

  • "This was a quiet birthday dinner for the wife and I. We had been given a gift card to Morton's Steakhouse and decided to celebrate the occasion here. We were impressed with the excellent service and attention given to us. The staff went out of their way to provide us a table away from the noisier birthday party tables, when we made the request. The food was excellent and was larger portioned than we expected so we had to take some of it home. The way we determine whether the restaurant is good or not, is to ask ourselves if we would go back again. Yes we would go back again. I am looking forward to it."

  • "The steak and bread is always the best. The taste of the grilled asparagus is not what I expected. It does not blend with the steak. It's overpowering the taste with the steak."

  • "I came here with my girlfriend during OC restaurant week. This was 1 of 4 restaurants we planned on going to during the week. I will say, this was by far, my favorite. The service was impeccable and food was delicious. I asked for a booth and was seated at the end where we can see the whole room. The filet Mignon was cooked perfectly and one of my favorite next to Ruth's Chris. A+ rating and I will definitely come back here again very soon."

  • "It had been a while since I've been to a Morton's, but my team just closed a big deal. So, I wanted to treat them to something special. As I recalled from prior times, the steaks were top notch. But, for some reason, even though they were not busy at all (Monday lunch), it took FOREVER for the waiter to come take our order. Keep in mind that this was lunch so we had plenty of things to get back to at the office. And keep in mind that this is a steak shop so we each knew exactly what we were ordering on the drive over. The slow service continued with delays in checking back, in coming around for a coffee/dessert order, etc."

  • "I have to say this dinner was amazing. Josh the waiter was on point and took care of everything. Tiffany the receptionist was so polite and hand delivered the roses herself that I ordered. Mark the assistant general manager took our photo and gave us a keepsake framed photo for our anniversary. Overall the food, service, and experience was unforgettable. Thanks Morton's and all your staff."

  • "'New' Morton's hands down has the best steak deals. Get on their making list. You'll get deals on all inclusive meal- apps, main entree, and dessert. Inexpensive and a great deal/value. With the new ownership, they updated the ambience. Still classy without being dated."

  • "Went to Morton's for a special occasion - 2 anniversaries and a birthday. I'm the only one who had been to Morton's before and I raved to our group about how they celebrate special occasions with a great dessert - they gave me a delicious souffle (surprise!) and boxed up the dessert I'd ordered so I could enjoy it at home. I was really disappointed that because we came during restaurant week, they didn't include anything for the anniversaries and birthday we were celebrating. Next time, we'll be sure to celebrate somewhere else. The food was good, but the filets were rather bland. I was pleasantly surprised when the waiter replaced my salad after overhearing me saying something about not liking onions. Very noisy in the dining room."

  • "Indifferent food, robotic service. Frankly, In-N-Out Burger is a better experience with higher quality ingredients. Morton's needs to figure out whether it's in the restaurant business or the profit-for-profit sake business. Sadly, I fear the worst..."

  • "This was our first dining experience at Mortons and we went for restaurant week. The menu was excellent-not a "cheap" version as so many places do for this week. The food and service were wonderful. And the next day the manager called to ask how our experience was and gave his name to personally arrange our next visit. Now that is CLASS!!"

  • "My friend and I had a lovely evening at Morton's, I enjoyed the ambience. We went on the last day of restaurant week and we had moved our reservations from 6 to 7. When we got there it was loud and a little busy, but I noticed there were two rooms. The bigger room which had booths, had more people and it was louder. They sat us in another room which was more private and quiet. It was so much better. They were nice size tables. The food was great, service was personable and impeccable. I loved the experience and would go back again!"

  • "It was restaurant week in the OC. We originally had a party of 4 and had to up to a party of 5 which they accommodated reasonably. The waiter provided us with the regular dining menus yet, did not indicate that they had the restaurant week specials or any other specials that they were offering. As soon as we asked for the restaurant week menu the waiter was disengaged and only came back to our table twice after. To bring our order and the bill. It was disappointing to know that this was my first time at Morton's and the service was not up to par for the money even though it was restaurant week. The food was outstanding. Yet the service was lousy."

  • "I had made a reservation a month in advance to celebrate my anniversary and had requested a booth. I came in before the time of the reservation and the hostesses said there'd be a 20-30 minute wait for the booth and that there was one party ahead of us. 30-45 minutes of waiting later, I saw them seat 3 groups into booths and when I questioned them about it, they said they told us there were 3 groups ahead of us..If they originally had said that it would be an hour, I wouldn't have waited. Also, I had a reservation so there was no point in making one if it was going to take that long. I ordered my filet medium, but it came out rare..I won't be coming here again."

  • "Went to Morton's for a birthday dinner with friends. When we arrived, personalized menus were waiting on the table and they also took a picture of the group and gave it to me in a frame signed by all the servers. I loved that! The food was fantastic- the crab cakes were a huge hit and the filet was cooked perfectly. We did the restaurant week menu so portions were smaller than usual but it was the perfect amount of food. Soufflés were delicious as always! This is a great place for a special occasion."

  • "Last year we went to Morton's for restaurant week and we were not at all impressed. The food was not good, the service was not good, overall it was not a good experience. We decided to give them a second chance but this year went early, that is the clue, go early. Service was excellent, food was excellent, overall we had an excellent experience and will go again next year.............."

  • "There are a few wonderful steak houses in Orange County, but Morton's in Santa Ana is my favorite. It is a little expensive, but it's worth it. The steaks are perfectly prepared and seasoned, juicy and delicious. They offer a large selection of tasty items for each course and the service is impeccable. If you want a huge prawn cocktail, a great chopped salad, a steak that will melt in your mouth, and any of several potato or vegetable dishes, accompanied by excellent wine, and topped off by your choice of dessert, this is the place for you. They do offer non beef dishes, by the way, if you have non-carnivores with you."

  • "This place is a bit pricey due to the a la carte format, so we only come here for very special occasions. We planned this visit for my birthday, but we were pleasantly surprised to hit it on Restaurant Week, so we saved some money! We both had filet mignon steaks and they were juicy and tender. The side dishes were perfectly cooked, the appetizers and desserts were heavenly. The servers, from beginning to end were so friendly and efficient, that they made this a perfect experience!"
