  • "I only go there if friends want to go. I don't eat meat out since I'm kosher. There is Salmon on the menu but it's boring since you don't go to a steak house for the fish. The chocolate Lava Cake is the one item people (and my friends) love to eat there. Otherwise, don't expect amazing flavors or culinary delights there. It's a steakhouse!"

She was awesome and needs to be acknowledged for her outgoing personality, consistent attention and catering to our dining experience. There were other associates that were attentive also. It was a great dining experience."

  • "Our group was nine, the table was not available for our reserved time so we hung out in the bar for 45 minutes until it was ready. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating, service was great and so was the food. I will be back when a special occasion presents itself."

  • "My girlfriend and I came here for OC Restaurant week and it was perfect. First off, the deal they gave you for their quality of food was the best around. My steak was cooked just to my liking and delicious, the wine list was extensive and covered a wide range. The service was spectacular and our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable. I have come here for Happy Hour a few times but the dining area was a nicer experience!"

  • "The ambiance at Mortons is OK but not great. It consists of one large and noisy room. Our service provider spent very little time with us and seemed to be in a big hurry. Our steaks, soup and desert were good but the sides were marginal and luke warm. The wines are pricey. For a highly rated restaurant, our experience here was a disappointment."

  • "Mortins is our go to special occasion resturant. My best friend and I took our boys for a nice evening at Mortins. It clearly was not the same service that I received in the past. Bread on the table when we arrived? The waiter hardly introduced himself, took our order immediatly, salads came out quickly we waited 40 minutes and two reminders for a bottle of wine the waiter said we did not order (wierd), took a long time for the rest of the dinner, when it arrived he had got the side orders also one never arrived. The materdee made up for the cluster of mistakes by comping the wine and deserts for boys. Would I go back? yes... Although it was not Mortins upscale service that we have recived in the past the manager made up for it in the end."

  • "Morton's has become less "special" since the Landry's chain bought it. It was always as good or better than Mastro's, but they seem to be trying to differentiate it by keeping Mastro's overly expensive, and making Morton's not as high end as it was, and more affordable, with specials and Landry's points - which you can't get at Mastro's, even though it is a Landry's chain restaurant as well. I wish Landry's had not purchased Morton's - it used to be the best of the high end steak house chains."

  • "We decided to try this morning because of the 35th anniversary special. When we ordered from the 35th anniversary menu, the way to rolled his eyes of us. We ordered a $149 bottle of wine and when it was served to us the Steward interrupted our prayer. My girlfriend asked to have no horseradish in the potatoes. The waiter said that would be fine. The potatoes were served with horseradish in them. We were trying to have a romantic evening but after the salad and entree were served, we were constantly bugged to get the check and leave. Very disappointing."

  • "We were seated 15 minutes after our reservation time, and waited another 10 minutes at the table before our waiter finally showed up and presented us with menus and water. The filet mignon was ordered medium, but was cooked to a very well done. The manager removed it from the bill. We expect a great experience for the price we pay, and the last few visits have just not been up to par. Fleming's is head and shoulders above this restaurant."

  • "We looked forward to this and it was ok, but not great. We will not go again as Ruth Chris for exceeds Morton's in our opinion. Service was fair from our waiter, but there was staff who appeared to be supervisors who constantly asked us if we needed anything. We expected food comparable to Ruth Chris but did not find it that way. The filet mignon my wife ordered was as good as any other top restaurant. I ordered the lamb chop and I had to cut through a lot of fat to get to the meat which did not have as good a flavor that I have gotten at other restaurants."

  • "This was my first time to Mortons and I have to say it ranked as an ok in my book. When compared to their competitors in the Orange County area in food and ambience it fell short. The steak was good as far as a prime filet goes however for the price and seasoning I prefer Ruths or Mastros which is far superior. Morton sides were a bright spot. The onion rings and Au Gratin Potatoes were very good. The dessert, chocolate souffle, was complimentary but bland and uninspiring. We did appreciate the restaurant providing the dessert as a gift for the occasion. The decor is a bit dated at the Santa Ana location not sure if this is true of all locations. Overall it was a nice dinner but not sure I would go again given the competition in the OC."

  • "I work in the hospitality industry so I don't give good reviews lightly. From start to finish we had an amazing dining experience. We went to celebrate my mom being cancer-free and we couldn't have had a better time! Oscar was so friendly & attentive and Kristin took our photo and made it into a little framed souvenir complete with well wishes and even made us special menus!! She's the BEST!! My mom was so blown away by the moment and how special they made her fell she teared up at the table. The food was outstanding!! My mom and I had the 2 pound lobsters. Tender, sweet and delicious!! I will definitely be coming back soon!"

  • "Creamed corn was filled with other ingredients such as ham, etc. The menu should have said so. Lunch special at $29: Rib eye cut just as bad as last time. I'd rather have a good small cut than a large thin cut. Had to buy an extra dessert because they wouldn't up charge for a different one. I'm sure you know that people that dine in this establishment want quality food or their choice of food and money is not an issue. I wanted my choice of food and intended to pay for it. I paid extra for corn and dessert. Corn was nasty to me and i took home an extra dessert I didn't need or want."

  • "We enjoyed our meal, but the service was bad. We went for Fathers Day, and were not made aware of the special Fathers Day menu by our servers. We found out about the menu after we used the bathroom and saw the menu on the counter. We had already ordered and our salads had arrived, so it was too late to order off the special menu. The servers seemed to forget about our drink order, and after the meal did not offer the dessert menu to those who didn't already order the chocolate molten cake. While the food was good, the service was so bad that we may not return to Morton's again. VERY DISAPPOINTED!"

  • "Morton's has been our favorite steakhouse for many years. However, there have been significant changes lately. The steaks are still great, but their once outstanding service is now just ok. Most disappointing was their wine list. Their selection of wines by the glass is quite small and uninteresting, and their pricing is outrageous; $13 a glass for Layer Cake for example. Their wine selection by the bottle is still good, but extremely expensive. Very unfortunate to see an old favorite go downhill."

  • "Our steaks were excellent but the services was really poor. Refills for drinks were slow. When they came around willed/splashed water and iced tea. They cross poured reaching across our table instead of walking around. Desert took literally 30 minutes to come after we ordered. From the time we got our check to the time to get our receipt back was 20 minutes!"

  • "Made reservation here few weeks in advance. Read about the review on Yelp of service and food. Overall experience a little pricey compare to other steakhouse restaurant. Came here for dinner about 5:30 pm. A bit darker than expected. Restroom are clean. Staff are friendly & helpful. Arrived a lil late so we called to let them know. Very professional & helpful over the phone. Server was okay. Our server seem to be more attentive to other tables than ours. I was expecting a photo picture at the end of the meal like other yelp said they got. Didn't get any picture to commemorate our anniversary. Experience was great. Food was delicious. Recommend the Cajun Ribeye, very flavorful & tasty. The five peppercorn strip steak was okay, very peppery. "

  • "My fiance and I went here to celebrate a special occasion. The service was outstanding. We got a romantic booth with special menus congratulating my fiance on his achievement. Our server was very attentive, always keeping our champagne flutes full and giving us great menu recommendations. Anyone who stopped by our table congratulated my fiance and desert was on the house. The food melted in your mouth and everyone was so happy and friendly. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!"

  • "All in all From sitting at the bar for a drink to our waitress it was very nice. Where I was very disappointed was in the quality of my steak. I love the ribeye but this one was not as thick as I thought it might be but also it was tough. I left wondering why Morton's has such a reputation for steaks. Very bad quality especially for a steak I spent over $50.00 on. "
