Diner Reviews
  • "We got stuck by 2 tables with kids so we couldn't enjoy ourself. The manager did ask us if we wanted to move. But they knew it was our anniversary so maybe they should have put then somewhere else. Also for that type of restaurant we felt rushed. Maybe because we ordered their 35 special but it still shouldn't have mattered."

  • "The service was impeccable, the personalized menus with my daughters name and happy birthday wishes is a very nice touch as well as the souvenir picture, they sure make any special occasion feel really special. The PRIME melt-in-your-mouth steaks were cooked to perfection and the legendary hot chocolate cake is worth every calorie SOOOOOO GOOD I have dine at several Morton's locations over the years and the food quality is always consistent as well as the outstanding service, you always know what to expect and never leave disappointed, definitely worth every penny."

  • "PRO: Morton's has great food, no doubt about that. You walk in and you know the name, you know the quality. PRO: Located on the beach, you've got a great view. CON: IF you've got a large group (so they know that you'll be throwing down the big bucks), you get that great window seat. CON: Service seemed rather slow, despite there being only a few other customers when we arrived. OVERALL: If you've got a special occasion, maybe go for it. If not, go out & explore some of the local cuisine. You can get the same quality steak with better service at a mainland U.S. Morton's."

  • "On the busiest night of the year so far, they managed to give us great service and give my child great memories of the surprise birthday dinner!"

  • "Everything was amazing, except the fact that I made it clear that it was a friends birthday and no one accommodated that! I listed it on the reservation and told the server, he said he would take care of it but never did. Everything else was great. I ordered the Cajun ribeye and he ordered the filet!!! "

  • "It is a tradition to celebrate our anniversary in one of the many Morton's location. San Juan's location has been so far the best experience, beating the one in Coral Gables and Brickel, both in Miami, Florida. The service was amazing, the managers and their staff were very attentive and courteous, and the food exquisite. "

  • "Service in general was attentive but very over the top. Our server was great, but managers continuously came up to us to check on us. Not saying this is a reason to not go, but got kind of annoying to have our conversation constantly interrupted. As far as food goes... Very expensive and nothing special. I ordered the baked stuffed shrimp... The shrimp were cold and the crab stuffing had little flavor. The mashed potatoes were ok but nothing special...and we paid $39 for it. My husband had the braised short ribs which were really good but the horseradish mashed potatoes were too strong. It was not a bad experience over all, but definitely not worth the money. "

  • "We went to Morton's to celebrate our Anniversary and my fiance's birthday and not only was the ambiance, the food and the service given us just excellent, but you also made us feel relaxed, special (because of the occasions) and a "part of the family". Gus was outstanding! We will be back!!! Thank you so much!"

  • "Food and service was great! When we arrived the host tried seating us at the entrance past the hostess stand. We asked if we could be seated at window so we could see the ocean. After making a bit of a production of it, he seated us at the window. The rest of the evening went well. S"

  • "Our waiter service was very poor. He took forever (many people got served before us who arrived after us) and did not check in on us after our food was served. Also, my son asked for a steak medium well and got a steak that was medium at best. "

  • "Our dining experience at Morton's has always been superb. The staff (and we know almost all of them by name), are outstanding. Eric W., the general manager operates an efficient and friendly staff. We have been coming to Morton's in San Juan, P.R. for the past 12 years, and have celebrated every special occasion. We just love the new and modern look to the facility. We will continue to come back for more fantastic meals. Linda and Eugene S. Smotkin"

  • "Took a group of family members because they had never been there. Excellent wait time upon arrival with a reservation made. I had to change the reservation twice and they were happy to assist. We were placed in a corner of the restaurant that allowed us to look out at the beach and over the entire restaurant. Great atmosphere and the food was absolutely as perfect as I have always come to expect. The family members loved seeing all the framed pictures of celebrities who have visited as well. Nothing about Morton's is a disappointment. I only had one small issue as the appetizers I ordered didn't all arrive and the drinks took a little longer than I would have liked. Other than those two very minor things, it was outstanding."

  • "Was dining alone. Waiter had 2 large tables to service. He spent most of this time dealing with them. Waited 15 minutes for my check after I finished eating. Waiter was abrupt was servicing my table. Disappointing as my other visits to Morton's were outstanding and I expected more."

  • "Other dining choices in Puerto Rico was not good. This restaurant was located in the Hilton Caribe where I was staying. Returned for the 4th time. Food and service were once again very good."

  • "Morton's offered good food selection. The onion bread loaf that was brought out ahead of the food was very good. Got the mixed grill with shrimp, scallops, and steak. The apricot chutney was one of the best things on the plate."

  • "The food was very good. Even though I was dining alone, the waiter was very attentive. Food was cooked perfectly."

  • "The food was pretty good. I do love steak and they cooked my Cajun Rib eye very well. But the place feels a little run down and messy. This place is very convenient if you're staying the in Caribe Hilton but I felt it was a little over priced and the proximity to the public area of the Hilton makes it susceptible to noise pollution. For a similar price you can eat at Perla at La Concha for a more exclusive feeling dining experience."

  • "Morton's offers a great...but pricy...dining experience. The shrimp capalinni and Brussel sprouts were very flavorful. The atmosphere was relaxing and the wait staff was welcoming and very attentive. They played a good selection of music at a volume that allowed for easy conversation while offering a subtle background. Aside from the price...just my thinking, but no steak is worth $50...this was very enjoyable."

  • "Your food was absolutely amazing! But, the sign saying please excuse the dust did not put a comfortable feeling in us. Plus your ambiance does not match the quality of the food. Also, We found it very noisy. You need white sound or something to absorb the noise of chatter."

  • "The restaurant was undergoing some renovations and, when we arrived for our 8:00 p.m. reservation, the front desk seemed a little overwhelmed but things got better from there. The main dining room had nice ambience (really liked the all the fine wines displayed around the room) and our server, Joel, was a consummate professional. Our porterhouse for two came to the table cooked more to a rare than the medium-rare we ordered but the maître 'd quickly offered to fire it some more for us. Regardless of how it was cooked, there is no denying it was a terrific cut of steak. The rest of the meal was excellent. All in all, a very good dining experience."

  • "All that you would expect from a very good American steakhouse, including high prices. Appetizers, steaks and scallops were very good and the side dish of spinach and mushrooms had excellent flavor. Only disappointment was that in a restaurant where everything is big (large steaks, sides for 2, generous portioned desserts) the coffee came in a small cup that was only half filled: the waiter willingly provided a refill, but the initial serving of non-expresso coffee in such a small quantity was surprising."
    Dined on 3/8/2014
  • "Extremely disappointed, as you enter you're greeted by a sign which reads excuse our DUSK while we remodel. Main dinning room has no personality, looks like a cafeteria. not worthy of the Morton's name. Recommend the Meat Market at El Juan Hotel."

  • "Reserved for Valentine's day. Having such bad experiences in other restaurants, we played "safe" to go to one of our favorites places. We had to wait over 30 min to be seated (even though they called the night before, and confirmed time). They had just painted a room and the odor in the area was intolerable. The service was not the best, I guess they should be prepared for a full restaurant. High price, ok food: all the food served overcooked. Not the best Valentine's day for us."
