  • "This was our first time at Morton's. If I was trying to impress business clients, I'd consider this place. Food was good, but very expensive. Simply not worth the price paid. It was very noisy. Not a good choice for having a business discussion and definitely too loud and not private enough for a romantic dinner."

  • "We had a wonderful dining experience here! The food was great and the service was amazing! We were so well taken care of. We were a group of 8 celebrating 3 birthdays. Our table was set and ready for us when we got there with special "Happy Birthday" menus. Great touch!! One of our group had a problem with her steak and had to send it back 3 times. It was handled professionally and with a great attitude by our waiter and the manager on duty! We were well compensated without having to say anything. We were very impressed and will definitely return!"

  • "Many diners seem to have something against chains like this (Morton's, Ruth's, etc). but for me there is great comfort in knowing that no matter what city I'm in, I can always count on a great steak at Morton's. Sure the wait staff, ambiance, etc may change from location to location, but the steaks are always spot on! Morton's was bought out by landry's, so I understand there are some changes coming. For me, I always enjoyed the parading of beef that was done and wish they'd bring back this tradition!"

I did not get that feel from any of the staff in San Diego. Steven was extremely helpful and very welcoming! You must try the Cajun Ribeye...out of this world!!"

  • "Morton's is typically consistent from one location to another. Food is always up to par or better. And the San Diego location is no different. Food was outstanding, cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. What made the difference was the exceptional quality of service we experienced. It was as good as any place I've been in. And it made the dinner. Definitely a place I would like to experience again."

I appreciated the special attention made to our guest of honor, Brenda, and the extra pictures that were printed for each of us to have a copy. The surf and turf special was perfect and the drinks were excellent. By the way, the steaks were cooked perfectly."

This dish was unusually generous and combined tastes and textures well. The food was perfectly cooked and seasoned to provide bites that were never boring. The selection was one of our favorites as we ate our way through San Diego during a four-day visit."

  • "Morton's The Steakhouse - San Diego was outstanding. The server was very very helpful and friendly, it made for a welcoming first time. We were unsure of what to order and he definitely helped us choose. The service was great, no complaints at all. The only thing was that there was a large group next to us (party of only 2) and they were very loud, which was kind of annoying, but there was really nothing that could have prevented that--there was a mix of 8 people and wine."

  • "I've been to many a steakhouse. Most are good. But here you really get what you pay for. Outstanding service. Really well prepared food. Great wine selection with some very reasonably priced bottles. Happy hour was just about done we we got there so we ate in the main dinning room. Four of us were treated like kings as we ate a comfortable pace during lots of conversation. We spent just about three hours there and never felt rushed."

  • "My fiancé and I enjoy a delicious meal, our experience at Morton's met all of our expectations. When we arrived we were greeted by a friendly host who wished him happy birthday. We then ordered an appetizer which began to set high expectstions for our meal. When my fiancé received his steak dinner the grin on his face said it all. We are amazed that there are restaurants out there that not only offer delicious food but, are working to offer an experience. We will be back for our next special occasion."

  • "As expected, Morton's was busy on Valentine's day. However, they couldn't have handled that night any better. Food was terrific and service was impeccable. Once we left, my husband thought he had left his cell phone so we called the restaurant immediately. Even on a busy night, the person who answered the phone was very helpful and even tried to look for it. Luckily, we had his cell phone with us after all. Ordinarily, the person on the phone would say they're busy that night and would have probably just taken our number. Morton's staff was definitely there to serve and please! Thank you!"

  • "My husband and I a very disappointed with our experience at your restaurant. I ordered the king crab legs and for that I got 2 legs and paid $59. One of the legs was almost all fat or something soft white that I couldn't eat. So basically I paid for 1 leg that I could eat. My husband ordered the porterhouse steak and it was average at best. The drink "AMF" that I ordered really had no alcohol in it for $15."

Dononvan's locally, Ditka's in Chicago, our very local Bentley's in Encinitas all deliver much more bang for the buck. It was enjoyable, but I would not return."

  • "We went to 'Morts' for a 14 year anniversary. The staff made us feel incredibly special. They had printed a menu with our name/congrats; gave us an anniversary photo; and a fantastic table/booth. Main server was EXcellent. Back up server not so great but he was trying - think he was new. Overall it was an outstanding night and made our anniversary really memorable."

BEST decision ever! however we ate so many of the delicious appetizers we had dinner there.. the great deals for happy hour then again at "Power hour" at 9pm. The service was great, friendly, and welcoming staff, bartendars very attentive. To top it off ALL food was good portions & great taste. I will definitely go again."

  • "We visited Mortons for the final night of restaurant week & while there was nothing wrong with the food itself, it was underwhelming. Starters: French onion soup &Caesar salad were solid if unspectacular; Mains: fillet mignon (8oz) & chicken Christopher both with horseradish were both mildly disappointing - admittedly the ingredients were quality & well prepared, but lacked any magic or pizazz. Desserts: key lime pie was good, but the Creme brûlée was quite eggy. We'd expect more for a $130 meal, especially having eaten at both Flemings locations & the Butcher shop. Could be the restaurant week menu running out of steam, but as an opportunity to showcase a venues wares & earn repeat business, it didn't really do that for us. Score 76/100."

  • "Well it was sexy when I looked at the menu. Thus a party of five went to dinner at Morton's. The restaurant was very busy and quite loud we were shouting to hear each other. The server was overworked and we had to call him over several times to ask for things which are typically standard(like getting about her round of drinks) 2 of us had the Ceasar salad which was great and paired that with the shrimp linguini dish. We both thought the shrimp was over cooked... That's all I want to share. I marked this is good for a special occasion BC I had to check something."

  • "My wife and I saved up for our anniversary and decided to splurge on Morton's. We were greeted with a thoughtful personalized menu especially printed for us. After this it was downhill. Our server was very knowledgeable and sweet she answered all of our questions and the food was well timed. The noise level was incredibly noisy I sat next to my date and could not even hear her , for a "fine dining steakhouse this was very troubling ZERO romantic atmosphere at all. Next the quality of the good was poor at best. The short rib was over salted and the filet minion was tough and the most flavorless steak I've ever tried. Unfortunately we were too embarrassed to send everything back, we really should have. I would have a hard time recommending"

  • "filet mignon was perfect. The chilled seafood appetizer at $25 p/p was not worth it at all, we ordered for 2. For $50, it was a complete disappointment. Not good. Felt a little cheated. Not quality, not good. For what they serve at the price, it either needs to be much better in quality & quantity or take it off the menu. Totally not worth it. Totally would not ever order it again!! Would never recommend the fresh chilled seafood appetizer."

  • "Unfortunately I was not impressed at all. I ordered the mixed grill. The scallops were over cooed, the shrimp were bland and my steak was well done and not medium as ordered. I ha e had my filets and this was by far the worst. The cut was terrible. I checked in on facebook and saw a group of friends this weekend and unforunately when they asked I explained my disappointment. I would have to give it a 2nd chance for a fair rating. But I am not to sure that will happen. The shrimp cocktail was amazing. And the service was excellence."
