  • "I am a Big fan of Morton's, I've dined at Morton's/ S.F. ! Morton's/ New Orleans ! And Morton's/ Las Vegas ! All three were "Outstanding", took my family to Morton's/ Sacramento for Easter dinner, and it was not that good at all ! My daughter food arrived cold, my steak, as well as my wife steak were burnt, and tough ! My lobster that suppose to been 5oz, was a 1oz piece of rubber ! The only bright spot was our Waiter !! Very nice guy, who earned his 50 buck tip ! FYI, also notice a couple that sat across from my return there food for being too cold !"

  • "This was my first visit here for my anniversary. Everything from the service to the food was five stars. I've been to a lot of steakhouses in the area and this one was the best meal I've ever had. They went above and beyond to make our anniversary feel special from the personalized menus, to the souvenier picture, to the free desserts. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone and will definitely be back for every anniversary and any special occasion in between."

  • "For those of you searching for a "special occasion spot" that offers a well-rounded culinary experience with attention to detail, look no further than Morton's The Steakhouse - Sacramento. The location is in a safe area of midtown with close parking. The low keyed "Great Gatsby" style interior is quaint and comfy. We were treated with the kind of customer service skills found 40-years ago, very impressive! The personalized menus were a nice way to commemorate my husband's 50th birthday, along with the black and white souvenir photograph! All of our steaks and shrimp were prepared perfectly! The scallops could have been seared a bit longer and the bacon should be crisped up. Overall, it was a great celebratory meal! Thank you Mike!"

  • "While the food was just as excellent as previous visits, we were disappointed by the overall service. This restaurant seems to be under new management that just doesn't go the extra step. When a customer is spending big bucks on dinner, one expects above average service. Not so here. The staff lacked professional polish. The waitress, while pleasant and hard working, was so chatty, she exhausted us. Halfway through our meal, a man came to our table, never introduced himself, never said a word, but picked up our bottle of wine and poured into our glasses. He never asked if we wanted refills. Then he quickly disappeared. Odd. Valet parking also disappointed. Service was rushed, uneven and not nearly as good as previous visits."

From the ease of making the reservation online to the welcoming atmosphere and considerate service we were impressed. The food was fabulous and we appreciated the suggestions of the waiter, especially when he explained the portion sizes!"

  • "My big disappointment was the filet mignon. My favorite meat and I order it at every steakhouse/restaurant I go to that offers it. It was cooked right, but it was actually hard and chewy, not tender and juicy as a filet should be. Filets at the Outback exceed the quality of these. Before you have any thoughts about my ordering "the special", I asked our server and it is the same center cut filet as you would order separately. Thought maybe I just got a bad one so I tried my wife's and hers was the same way."

  • "I took my mom out for her birthday and we felt like a filet mignon (I also ordered a lobster tail). The filet mignon's were cooked absolutely perfect and exactly how I ordered it (Rare +1) which is very rare in my experience. The lobster tail literally melted in my mouth and the way it was prepared and presented was fantastic. Most restaurants keep the tail in the shell and you have to dig it out but at Morton's they turned it inside out and the meat was sitting on top of the shell which made it much easier to eat (and it looked amazing). The asparagus was perfectly crisp with just the right amount of seasoning. The appetizer we chose was the prosciutto wrapped mozzarella and was the best I've ever had (and we're Italian). 5 out of 5!!"

  • "I miss the days when people actually cared about what they look like. Morton's is still a high end place that deserves a better clientele than a girl coming in short shorts and a tee shirt only to go into the bathroom to change into raggy jeans. Another guy with tee shirt and jeans and wore his stupid baseball cap throughout dinner. Glad they put him back in the corner. Morton's was the reliable great steak and service it is known for. Will go again."

  • "This restaurant is a favorite of oursc in the bay area. It was the first time I had been in Sacramento. I had been told the service wasn't that great but I was quite impressed. My wife was completely thrilled and excited. The menu had her name on It. I was greeted by name. It was the beginning of her birthday celebration. The service was impeccable. We will be returning."

  • "We were welcomed by name, and treated very well the entire time we were there. Our waiter Mike took very good care of us. The souvenir photo and Anniversary menu were a nice touch to commemorate 25 wonderful years. We ordered everything, appetizer, soup/salad, entree and sides, dessert and coffee. My steak was perfection, and Chris's lamb was sumptuous too. We took quite a bit of food home including the carrot cake we ordered for dessert as we were treated to delicious soufflés, compliments of the house. The bill was north of $200.00 for the two of us including tax and tip (and we don't drink). We feel it was well worth it for the quality of food and service on a special occasion."

  • "We LOVED our personalized menus! A very personal touch to an extra special evening. The food was amazing. Even our 17 year old who claimed she "wasn't hungry" at the start of the meal, managed to clean her entire plate before anyone else finished eating. After a wonderful meal and wonderful service, the manager buying the birthday boy a free birthday shot and coming over to our table multiple times to wish him happy birthday was the cherry on a perfect birthday dinner. We just want to say thank you so much to everyone involved in making this night so special for us. You all definitely went above and beyond to make this birthday extraordinarily memorable. We will be coming back for sure and recommending Morton's to all our friends."

  • "Took my dad for his 84th birthday. He said it was one of is best ever...better than his 21st, 50th or 65th milestone birthday's. Morton's hostess took and printed a photo and they had customized menus wishing my dad a happy 84th birthday on the table when we arrived. Food was exceptional and the service phenomenal. He really felt special. THANK YOU!!!"

A noisy, large group next to us made the experience a little less romantic, but the group was jovial and not obnoxious, so it wasn't too bad. The view leaves a lot to be desired (downtown buildings) but the food and service more than made up for the lack of a great view. Nice surprise - my husband received a free lemon souffle for his Birthday - it was delicious!"

  • "We celebrated an anniversary at Morton's on a Saturday night. Reservations were easy to make, and when we arrived, the staff already knew our occasion. The food was excellent. The lobster bisque is as good as I have ever had. The Cajun ribeye is a nice way to go....good seasoning but not overwhelming. The bone-in filet (yes, a bone-in filet) had some nice marbling and was delicious. Any of the side dishes are a winner as well. But...about as good as it gets....is the bread they start you out with. You will finish the loaf and want more!"

Our main waiter Caleb was so charming and knowledgeable. He kept calling all of the ladies at the table Miss. How refreshing not to be called Ma'am for a change! Caleb can expect me to request his table going forward. An added bonus was sitting at the table next to our party. What, you ask was at the next table? Known other than Billy D. Williams star of film and screen. Nothing could have made the night better!"

  • "We went to Morton's for our 30th Wedding Anniversary. They had a special menu waiting for us. They also gave us a lemon souffle for free. Our waitress Mariah was excellent! It's always an expensive dinner at Mortons but worth every penny. They have a big private room or it can be 3 smaller rooms for private parties. I checked on that for future events."

  • "From start to finish, the service was impeccable. We had reservations and our Hostess sat us promptly and courteously. Our waiter, Brian, was very friendly, knowledgeable and paid just the right attention to our dinner service. We were also visited by the Head Waiter and the Manager of the restaurant who wanted to know how the meal was progressing. We were given complimentary shots of Bailey Irish Cream to go along with the coffees we'd ordered to accompany our desserts. We thoroughly enjoyed the perfectly prepared surf and turf special which included our choices of (chopped spinach salad, filet mignon, prawns Alexendar, potato lyonnaise, hot chocolate cake). The filet was prepared perfectly."

We, my son and I, ate the steaks while my wife watched. By the time her chops were cooked and arrived we had finished our steaks and then we watched my wife eat. Not up to my expected Morton's standard. Server tried hard but the kitchen let her down."

The attention to detail was exceptional! The menu was personalized with my name. They took a picture of our group and then presented the photo in a card while we were enjoying my birthday desert. Really it couldn't have been more perfect! great service from beginning to end!"
