  • "The ambiance and downtown location and service draw me to Morton's but I have been disappointed in the food my last two visits."

  • "You get the feeling you're in a restaurant that was once great. However at this time I really feel it is way overpriced for the quality of the food. Not creative, standard fare, uninteresting wine list. For the money it should have been much more creative and higher quality of food. I will not return do not recommend it. "

  • "An amazing time as usual. The food was fantastic and service was great, just a great night. This is the fourth location we have been to from Chicago to Anaheim to Atlanta and now Richmond and the food is consistently great at each one, along with the service. Our absolute favorite restaurant!"

  • "Visited here from out of town to celebrate girl friends 1st 10k run. I noted on reservation booking about this and they took it from there. Made her feel very special which was the whole point. They did great job. Food was excellent as well. Very impressed with staff"

  • "It was my wife's birthday and we decided to venture out to Richmond from Charlottesville and we had a wonderful dinner. They gave us a free dessert and had set a table up special for us. The oysters rockefeller were fantastic as well as the steaks and a chocolate soufflé for dessert. We will definitely be going back"

  • "We were celebrating our 26th wedding anniversary. The table was decorated when we got there, the menus were personalized with our names at the top wishing us a Happy Anniversary, a picture was taken and given to us, and Morton's paid for our dessert. We really felt special that night!! Although we did not order steak, the seafood was delicious and enough for us to bring enough home for another meal!"

  • "The food was okay. I have eaten at Ruth Chris multiple times and would recommend that over Morton's not only because the food is better at Ruth Chris but also because the price is more reasonable."

  • "If you want to celebrate a special occasion , Morton's make you feel special. To have a spacious booth, picture taken & dessert complimentary. Personalized menu, your money spent is well worth it, for the experience we had !"

  • "We visited Mortons to mark a very special occasion with our family. My fiance wanted to ask my parents for their blessing to marry! The meal was fabulous and the night was wonderful."

  • "If you are looking for a great steak - Morton's is your restaurant. Undoubtedly, this is the best restaurant for steak, and service, one that needs no introduction or long review. If you don't mind spending money on good food and service, Morton's is your restaurant of choice."

  • "Service was slow between servings. Appetizers came 45 minutes after ordering and they were 3 sea scallops. Salads came afterwards they were satisfactory dressings for the chopped salad a little bland. Finally the main course arrives after 1hr 45min of being there and my dates steak perfect medium rare mine was supposed to be medium rare a dismal medium well. After sending it back we could not dine together the restaurants apologies were weak at best. Finally the bill comes $360.00 for poor service and paying for everything including bottled water and the napkins you were using, the best part of dining at Morton's is leaving it."

  • "I had heard great things about Morton's from many friends of mine. When my girlfriend and I decided to take her parents out for a nice dinner Morton's popped into my head. Morton's staff and food met all my expectations and more. The food was wonderful from drinks and appetizer to dessert. Everyone who helped us were kind, polite and knowledgeable. I look forward to our next visit and will recommend Morton's to anyone looking for a great experience."

  • "Thought a great name like Morton's would serve great food. We were underwhelmed. Everything just ok. But, the restaurant was busy and the patrons seemed happy with the food and service. We had a good meal. Just expected a little better"

  • "Morton's is a fantastic restaurant and this location in Richmond, Va. lives up to the chains reputation."

  • "I highly recommend Morton's to anyone looking for a very elegant and classy restaurant to take a loved one for a special occasion.. Mine was for a Valentine's Day proposal to my gf (now my fiance). The food, staff, and service were nothing short of perfect. They made sure our night was something to remember. My waitor ws excellent, very attentative, but not annoying or invassive. The food portions were larger than I had expected. We had to take our food home and I noticed a lot of others did as well. This was my first experience at Morton's and I will definitely be back."
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "Food is way overpriced. I work for the supplier of a lot of Morton's food and the upcharge is ridiculous. Steaks that were not piping hot or drawn in butter killed it for me. Morton's is nowhere the same level of quality and experience as Wolfgangs, Peter Luger, heck, even Flemings! 60 dollars for 2 pieces of salty crab legs was DRASTIC and it was virtually inedible. Pricing needs to be re-evaluated. Morton's is becoming a typical chain restaurant where accountability and qualify is not on par with others in the same region or state."

  • "Great food, great service, Our table was near the front door and every time someone came in a stream of cold air came in. My wife had to wear her coat around her the entire time,"

  • "This was my first trip to Morton's. They made Valentines Day very special. No complaints at all! I will be going back!"

  • "The food was awesome and so was the staff. It was my anniversary as well as Valentines Day and they treated us real nice. The food was cooked perfectly too. They even gave us free dessert."

  • "I still miss the Prime Rib and the presentation table side but the food is always good to great and the service is fabulous every time. The oysters need a good minette, but good. Sean the bartender is one of the best in town...I highly recommend the bone in ribeye...."

  • "Great experience. Food was delicious. We had the sea scallops for an appetizer and they were thick and moist wrapped in a perfectly cooked strip of bacon. We shared a steak for dinner and it was cooked perfectly. The only thing we didn't particularly die for was the twice baked au gratin potatoes. They were a little dry and didn't go well with our steaks. Overall, great dinner, great service, and great atmosphere."

  • "Went to Morton's to celebrate my daughter in laws birthday before a show. The table was special the menu was printed with her name on it and the service was impeccable. Then came the food, which even surpassed the service which I didn't think possible. They even took complimentary pictures of all of us at the table and presented them as we were leaving. They went out of their way to make this a special evening. Thank you Morton's."

  • "This was our first time eating at Morton's. This restaurant has quite the reputation for quality of food and service. I found I was highly disappointed by our experience. The food was just okay; average at best. And the service is not the quality that you expect from this type of establishment. I am a believer that all locations are not created equal. I may try this establishment again while I'm in Las Vegas or another area of the sort. As for Richmond, I would stick with Ruth's Chris, which never disappoints no matter what state I'm in. Or bookbinders. The quality of food and service will be four times better for the money."

  • "Not anything new to say about this well established Richmond restaurant that hasn't already been said. We had a wonderful meal, perfectly cooked, professionally served in an elegant, quiet ambience. Great wine too. The meal was pricier than we normally see, but well worth it!"

  • "One appetizer was brought to the table significantly after the other because someone took ours to another table; the lobster was overcooked; the side order was forgotten until we asked about it; and we had to pour our own wine refills. They were clearly understaffed. I won't be back again. For $300 I expect significantly better food and service."

  • "The food was great. The service was great. I just wish we could afford to eat there more often."

  • "We had to wait a long time for our food especially the entrees. I ordered a 24 oz. porterhouse steak, medium rare plus. It was barely warm when it was brought to the table. . It took an inordinate amount of time for the server to come back to the table so I could tell him about the steak. I told the server that my steak was not hot, that it was barely warm and asked if he could fiix it without killing the steak? After a while the server brought the steak back swimming in au jus. Evidently, this how they warmed the steak. They immersed the steak in warm au jus to warm the steak. This is what my server told me. Well, it destroyed the steak!! It destroyed the texture as well as the taste of the meat. There is more to tell ! Limited space!"

  • "I selected Morton's as the special place to celebrate my daughter's 23rd Birthday! She and I were treated to outstanding service and was pleasantly surprised by the complimentary dessert and birthday photo! She was well fed and pampered! Thank you Morton's staff!"

  • "I go to Morton's relatively frequently, as the experience never varies. Great food, nice menu variety if not in the mood for steak on a particular visit, and attentive service. Some would say it is pricey, but no more so than any other comparable high end steak house, and I value their consistency. Have simply never been disappointed, and have never regretted the choice to go there."

  • "Seattle WA Morton's set the bar high; we have yet to find another Morton's to match it, however, we've had Christmas Eve dinner at the Richmond spot for the last 2 years. On the upside, we arrived 20 min early and the hostess promptly seated us in a booth that we requested. It took a little longer than anticipated for the waiter to show up but once he did, he was courteous and attentive. Something got screwed up; I ended up with someone else's food; the runner, our waiter and the manager apologized profusely (which I appreciated) but my salmon (albeit good) arrived about 6-8 min after my spouse's steak (which he said was great). Overall, it was a decent meal; am not sure if we'll continue to have our Christmas Eve meal here though."

  • "Nice for a special occasion but was very expensive compared to other high end restaurants, and the wait staff was so busy they forgot out drink order until after we finished the meal and also forgot an add on of oscar style to the steak. Overall the food was delicious, but environment was a little chaotic."

  • "Morton's does not deliver. Expectations are high when you dine at a restaurant of this caliber and price. Food was good. We appreciated the gluten free menu. However....Server was nice but discombobulated. Her anxiety conveyed to our table. Menu presentation was rambling. Each in our group did not receive food in our courses at the same time. Another tables's drink appeared on our bill. It was a mess. Although our parking was comped this Christmas Eve occasion was lackluster."

  • "While the food and service were very good, I will probably not return. In the past 3 years I have had food and service that was equally good at 1/3 less the cost. Prices on the wine list were ridiculous. Overall a great experience that was way over priced. Dining room was almost empty. Morton's needs to rethink their price structure."
    Dined on 12/22/2013
  • "For a Mortons experience the entire meal was just average. I have visited Mortons many many times, and this experience would rate on the lower scale of those visits. The sides were delivered to the table cold, and the steaks were average. Probably would not visit there again."

  • "My wife and I visited Morton's to have the 3-course special for $59 per person. The food was, as usual, fantastic, and the service was spot on, as always. The special included a salad, single-cut 6-oz filet and one side dish, and dessert. Compared to Fleming's two-course special for $69 per person, without a salad or side item, Morton's deal won the day. Also, Fleming's requested a credit card to hold our reservation - which I refuse to provide. If you're in the mood for fine dining at an "affordable" price, choose Morton's and have their 3-course special. It's almost too much great food for one sitting."
