  • "Morton's still good but not the best for steak in Pittsburgh, Capital Grille and Ruth Chris are better. I found menu presentation and specials card to be more like a casual restaurant rather than an upscale restaurant. We were seated in a private room section of the retaurant, which lacked ambiance. Overall, food was good but not great. Cesear salad lacked flavor. Lobster was served out of shell in clumps rather than whole pieces."

For the price of dinner for two we did expect everything to be outstanding and that just wasn't the case. We had a very early reservation and maybe everyone just wasn't on pointe yet. Waiters smelling of cigarette smoke is not one of my favorite things."

  • "This was our secong time dining at Morton's and we loved every bite of it. This time we had a pre-fix meal offer that came in the mail. We brought along two friends and all four us had the pre-fix meal. Each of us was thrilled with the choices and the food served was delicious. The only thing that was a little off is that waiter that comes around with the condiments for the baked potato. The vat of butter, cream cheese and bacon while appealing, is a bit overwhelming and we would have prefered to put our own toppings on the potato."

  • "We were celebrating my husband's 66th birthday and he was feeling pretty low. However, the dinner at Morton's seemed to boost his morale, quite a bit. From the valet parking attendant to our server (and other servers), we were treated like royalty (unlike one other occasion which I reviewed here). The food was excellent, as always, and our server, William, made wonderful suggestions for the wine and the meal. Altbough we returned just for the meal, this time, we look forward to returning again and again for the meal and the awesome service. It was a perfect evening."

  • "My husband & I made reservations to dine prior to a show at the Benedum. Love that we were able to leave our car in valet until after the show. My husband & I usually have dinner at places such as Olive Garden or Hoss's. I had to warn my husband about the price the bill would most likely be but told him from what I had heard the food was worth the price. I have to say my husband was impressed & did state "this is the best steak I've ever had"! We as a couple don't usually go to expensive restruants & this was a first for us but we would certainly go there again!"

  • "When we arrived we told the server we had 8 PM show tickets. He said no problem. He took our order and then the bad service started. He never checked on us. He dropped desert menus on our table and never came back. we had to get another waiter to get our check and get the manager to pay it. This was more like McDonalds than Mortons."

We were a little nervous because this was the first time we went somewhere this nice with the three year old and weren't sure how he would be received. The staff was GREAT! They brought his food out early and never gave us the least indication that it would be an issue. Really made us able to relax and enjoy the food. I love steak and my favorite cut is the rib eye. I had the cajun rib eye and it was unbelievable. I told the waiter how I liked it and it came out perfect. Juicy, tender, just the right marbling. Wow! If you like corn, get the corn side dish. They made my birthday special - took a picture of the family and free dessert. We will be back!!"

  • "The food was good, not life changing in any way, but solidly good. The waiter was awful. He leaned on my chair, when talking about the food he read off my menu, he never asked us how anything was, he forgot my iced tea...little things until your shelling out $200 for a meal. Perhaps they should consider swapping some of their well mannered busboys for some of their not so professional waitstaff. The restaurant was entirely to dark for me. I have to wear glasses and had to hold my menu literally one inch from my face to read it. If you have money to spare then yes I would say go but if your not completely loaded and are just planning a special night out, go to Ruths Chris (which is exceptional) instead."

  • "My girlfriend and I had dinner at Morton's for our anniversary and it was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and congratulating us. Our server, William was very knowledgable and helpful with the menu. They added a personalized touch to our menus and we were able to take them home. They also came around and took our picture and gave us a very nice card. The food was delicious and the carrot cake was a good decision to close out the meal. Great experience."

  • "It had been a while since I dined at Mortons. It seems to be a restaurant I skip over for more local finds, hot spots, trendy new restaurants with a bigger variety of menu items. But we were making last minute reservations for a pre-show dinner and figured we'd have a quality beefy meal at Mortons. I had forgotten how great this restaurant experience could be. The service was exceptional. Every single thing I ordered from my pre-dinner cocktail to my post dinner coffee was excellent. Very rarely do I ever have that experience at a restaurant. THe quality, the presentation, the perfect done-ness, the freshness, the taste....everything about each of my courses was on point. Will definitely return. thanks Mortons!"

  • "Reservations were made for 8:30 on Valentine's Day. We arrived early at 8:00, and were told to still check in as it would be possible to be seated early. We were told to wait at the bar. At 9:00, still not seated. When I asked the maître d' how much longer we could expect to wait, and he saw our 8:30 reservation time, he proclaimed "I can seat you right now." We were taken into a room that had many empty tables. Maitre d' did not care at all that we waited for so long. I suspect the plan was just to get us to buy expensive drinks at the bar. I would not expect that from a place like Morton's. We won't be going back."

  • "From the moment we arrived the staff was attentive and accommodating. I forgot my wallet in the car and the valet manager ran to the parking area and retrieved it. We decided to have drinks at the bar first and were seated a half hour past our reservation time without attitude. The bartender patiently told us about happy hour specials and then made us killer mojitos. We were then seated at a perfect table and were treated royally by the waiter and manager. The food was excellent and the prices fair for the type of high quality food we received. We will be talking about this wonderful evening for many years to come. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a special evening."

  • "By far the best steak I've ever eaten. Prepared perfectly and served quickly. I went on Valentine's Day with my date and I had the 5 peppercorn new york strip (16oz) and my date had the Filet Mignon (8oz) with shrimp and bacon wrapped scallops. Both meals were beyond exceptional. We also added a side for two, the Chicago style horseradish mashed potatoes and they were amazing. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a very professionally cooked steak along with their other great selections. 5 out of 5 stars."

Started with escargot they were hot . then a spinach salad with warm bacon dressing it was cold dressing very tasty but lost something with cold dressing. Main entrée and sides for both myself and wife luke warm at best. For the price I would not being going back anytime soon."

  • "I took my girlfriend here for New Years Eve. To start, they were very busy and pretty loud. Nothing too bad though. We started with the Tuna tower and were blown away by how fresh it was. I followed that with a spinach salad. This was the only down side I had that evening. It was good. Just not...great. On the other hand, girl friend had Lobster Bisque. It was fantastic. We both had filet mignon. She had hers cooked medium and mine medium rare. Perfectly cooked. Perfectly seasoned. We also had a side of onion rings and a side of potatoes au gratin. Both well cooked and delicious. All in all, fantastic."

  • "I chose to go here and take my girlfriend for valentines day. Before even arriving I was excited by the call I received from them to confirm my reservation and they asked for our names because they were giving out free pictures and personalized frames for v day. It was really nice. As for the food, the 5 onion soup was incredible. The best both me and my girlfriend have ever had and we get it just about everywhere we see has it. They had a special, which I regrettably did not get, it was a 6 oz lobster tail and a 6 oz filet for $55. I instead got the NY strip. Still a very good steak but after having a bite of my girlfriend's filet I knew I made the wrong choice. Overall, a great experience."

  • "Our server said the chef recommends that the pork my wife ordered be prepared medium well. I could not hear her and thought my wife had agrred to medium. The pork was a little tough. The noise level from music was a little too high. I was not asked if I wanted my drink refilled. I had to request it. The manager stopped by and I asked him to repeat what he said. He said "Great" and walked away. Evidently, he could not hear either. My meal of Chilean Sea Bass was excellent. Most of Landry Select restaurants we frequent offer a 10% AARP discount; Morton's does not."
