  • "My wife and I had a tremendous time at Morton's on Saturday evening. First of all we were greeted with the ladies wishing us a Happy Anniversary which totally set us back. I had done all this as a surprise for my wife on our 34th wedding anniversary. The menu with the greeting at the top really made the night worth being there. Our server Paul did a great job of giving us advise on the menu and was always available when we needed something. We also appreciated the lady taking our picture at our table and having it for us. Although we had never been to Morton's I'm sure we will return for another occasion. Thank you for making our night such a tremendous event!"

  • "My oldest son chose Morton's to celebrate his 18th birthday. It had been a couple years since my wife and I dined at Morton's, but we knew the family was in for a treat. Our server, Debbie, was enthusiastic and attentive; our every need was taken care of quickly and without asking. The food was fantastic too. My wife's steak was overcooked - even great chefs can make a mistake, right? Not wanting to put a downer on my son's birthday meal (and wanting her to get to eat with the rest of us) I didn't say anything until later, when I casually informed the manager. Within ten minutes another manager privately apologized to my wife and removed her steak from our bill. Professional and classy; we'll be back and will recommend to anyone!"

  • "We ordered the cold seafood plate - pricey. It came with A wedge of lemon. We had to ask for the horseradish and cocktail sauce that would normally accompany a platter of assorted seafood. The house salad was over dressed and I did not care for the spicy flavor. I ordered a Pittsburgh style filet- crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Whatever the chef did to attempt to crisp the outside left an undesirable flavor to the meat. We did not care for the candied fruit in the carrot cake. Over $450.00 later we decided we liked the cocktails the best. We were just not impressed with the flavors of the food we ordered. Our server was very attentive and very nice. The ambiance is very inviting. But the flavors were just not there for us."

These days you don't get to experience that level of service anymore and it was nice to sit back and truly enjoy the meal. The menu selection is vast with something for everyone.   • "I love Morton's. I just miss Morton's. The Morton's before Landry's took over. When Frank Sinatra was the star of the music and his friends were mixed in occasionally. I miss the presentation of the steaks and seafood. Its still a great restaurant but Landry's is destroying the things made Morton's unique. One of the worst parts is that when you take time to write to Landry's and let them know, they don't even respond. And I'm one of their VIP's... Why would you buy a restaurant for your portfolio that you intend to operate, then change some of the very things that made it stand out in the minds of your customer? Made it unique from other high end steak houses - created differentiation. Very corporate! Bring back Morton's!!!"

We had received a promotional postcard offering a salad, filet mignon, seafood, side dish, and dessert for $59.99 per person. Everything was exquisite and the portions were enormous. I tried the chopped spinach salad with warm bacon dressing--excellent. The chocolate "lava" cake for dessert was also sublime, and too much to eat. But we left with a smile on our faces."

  • "Food was good not great like other high end steak houses I've frequent in Dallas, Texas . I order a pound of crab legs and received 4 small legs. I'm almost positive they were not a pound, maybe 1/2 lb. Crab was a little watery and it was evident they has been frozen . Not worth the $60 I paid. My husband had the steak & lobster which was very good. Really had high hopes with all the good reviews . Stick with the steak and pass on the seafood."

  • "The server and bartenders were all extremely courteous and knew the menu inside and out. I ordered my steak and it came out just a little too rare for my taste and the server took it back so fast and the manager came back out with him to make sure that I was satisfied with my meal. They offered everything that I could have wanted complimentary. Keep in mind that everything is a la carte so expect to spend close to 200$ for a couple if you both wanted a meat and then to split two sides . But the food was worth the cost. I would recommend this as a great celebration or date spot in Louisville if you wanted something above jay Alexander's"

  • "Try to reserve a table for eight a week and a half in advance for 7 o'clock. But according to the OpenTable app there was nothing available between 630 and 8p. Made the time for 630 instead and when we were there the restaurant was half empty. Talked to manager who said they definitely could've accommodated he 7 PM time. But according to the OpenTable app nothing was available. Makes me very hesitant to ever use the app again."

  • "We have come to Morton's for our anniversary the last few years. I noted that the music was different this year - very jazzy. I liked it. The food was great. One exception was the potatoes; the au gratin potatoes were sort of soupy. I had the onion soup upon the recommendation of the server; usually I don't get soup, but I am glad I did. It was something different and turned out to be a good choice. The timing of the meal was good. It was not rushed, nor were we left waiting. Thanks for the free dessert. We felt really full when we left, but not stuffed."

  • "My group celebrated a birthday at this wonderfully located restaurant and couldn't have been more pleased. The steaks (6 oz filets) were perfectly prepared and the sides completed the dining experience (especially the bacon Mac and cheese!). Don't forget to consider a salad or even the lobster bisque as a starter...but bring your appetite. I also can't say enough about the service. We had theatre tickets and we were kept right on schedule without sacrificing food quality or the dining ambiance. I will return!"

  • "Our food arrived cold. We had it sent back and then was fine. We were seated next to a 18 month old who was disruptive and why was he out for New Years Eve?? Get a babysitter!! The waitress accidentally dropped a knife on my husbands new tie. She did apologize. Accidents do happen we understand."

  • "A hope of a nice romantic meal was in reality an over $200 cafeteria quality supper. The atmosphere was distracting with so many bustling and noisy staff. The sides were mediocre and overpriced. My filet was cooked correctly (medium rare) but was not much better than I cook at home. In general everything seemed sloppy and haphazard...no real sense of quality or pride. And that's what bothered me...I agreed to the high priced in exchange for excellence...and I found no excellence anywhere (except the valets...very courteous). My advice: skip Morton's and try Jeff Rubys if you want a first class steakhouse experience."

  • "Best and friendliest service of any restaurant I've reviewed in 25 years. They had personalized menus for my daugthers Birthday. The appetizers were life changingly delicious. The steaks were very good but not the best I've ever had. We ordered almost every thing on the sides menu and they were all outstanding. I wasn't so much a fan, but my teen age kids LOVED the mac'n'cheese. They had me order extra to take home. If I had to say anything not entirely positive, I was a little displeased that we were seated next to the kitchen on an evening when the restaurant was pretty much empty. I guess you have to be local royalty to sit in choice seating. Again, the waitstaff was 5 star. Steakes were 3 star. The rest of the food was 5 star."
