  • "We recently celebrated our anniversary at Morton's the steakhouse. Let me start by saying that this was probably by far the best experience I've had at a steakhouse. I had the lobster bisque & my wife had onion soup. I ordered the porter steak and my wife had the Cajun steak. I have to say that both steaks were delicious. We also had a loaded bake potato. Real good meal overall. The staff was super nice starting with the hostess. She was friendly, greeted us at the entrance, & acknowledged our anniversary. The waiter, I wish I remembered his name, was just as friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. Halfway through our dinner, the hostess came to our table & took a picture of us. At the end of our dinner she gave us the picture"

  • "I made a reservation at 10:30pm on Valentines day 2014. My fiancee and I arrived 30 minutes early and they asked if we wanted to hangout at the bar or get a table since they had one available. We took the table since I was hoping to get an earlier time but I made the reservation 5 days prior. Once we sat down, our server Clay made us feel important and was very attentive to our needs. I ordered the 12oz filet mignon medium and it was cooked to perfection. It was very tender and flavorful. I will definitely return to this Morton's in downtown LA."

  • "Consistently great food and top-notch service. We dined on Valentine's Day and arrived 20 minutes prior to our reservation. We were seated promptly by the hostess and our server (Tony) introduced himself shortly after of our arrival at our table. Our courses arrived in a timely manner (perhaps not as fast as some of my previous exoeriences at Morton's, but it was Valentine's Day and the restaurant was at capacity). Everyone in our party was very happy with each of their courses and Tony's (our server) personality, knowledgable service & sense of humor contributed to what was a very enjoyable evening. Thank you, Morton's!"

  • "We were late for our reservation because of the massive street closures outside and leading up to the restaurant that we did not know about. Then when we arrived, we were sat at a table that resembled a card table with covers on it. We asked to be moved and it was like an act of congress to do so. When we were finally moved, we were explained that basically they don't do this and they went beyond the call of duty to do so. And the manger's exasperation was well noted. Needless to say, our Valentine's dinner was ruined. i Do not think we will e visiting this location again."

  • "My wife and I came her for Valentines dinner and it was awesome as always. I planned Valentines a bit late this year so I ended up being stuck with an early reservation (5PM). However, I am glad we came when we did. We managed to beat all the LA traffic coming in and we were seated in a nice and snug booth in the back corner of the restaurant. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the service was exceptional!"

  • "Morton's never disappoints! Treated my staff here for a group lunch. Many of us ordered the Pre-fix menu, and NO ONE LEFT HUNGRY! Starter soups and salads are delicious, steaks were great, and the dessert cheesecakes - epic! Thank you Morton's for making my staff leave with smiles on their face, and full bellies. No one got any work done though when we returned back to the office! We'll see you again soon!"

  • "Morton is totally over-rated. We went there on a Wednesday evening when it was not busy. The service was so slow that it took over 30 minutes for the steak to arrive after our salads. We went with two kids (5 years old); I understand that lot of fine restaurants don't offer kids menu, but all the time they would recommend something for my kids like a plain pasta dish or something they can do in the kitchen. This time the waiter simply said "no" and didn't offer us any options for our two kids. Already my kids were disappointed. I ordered the shrimps and they tasted awful. The sauces are so think and the shrimp itself is not fresh. My husband and my mother ordered the steaks and they did enjoy their steaks very much."

  • "As usual the food was very good. For the caliber, the service left a lot to be desired. A water pouring issue left my side of the table cloth damp and clammy. After an affirmative reply to leaving their signature bread on the table, she promptly took my plate of freshly buttered bread before I could stop her. It took a long time to get my cola refilled, and an even longer time to resolve the check and get a doggie bag. I would still go back because I think it was isolated to my particular waitress. Others seemed to be functioning more expediciously."

  • "Our server was very attentive to our needs and made us feel very welcomed right from the start. First, our appetizer escargot came, and we weren't in love with it. The taste is not flavorful. Next, the filet mignon from DineLA menu was also not very impressive. There was nothing fantastic about the flavor. Finally, dessert was probably the best part even though I am not a sweets person. Key lime pie was great. Besides the excellent service, good ambiance and dessert, I couldn't recommend anything else from their menu, especially steak."

  • "They were bought out by Landry. We were better off going to sizzler as this place has gone down hill. Food was below average for the price and value we used to get. Something needs to be done as they will not be able to compete with the new steakhouses on the market. When you pay these prices you want an experience and there was nothing like that with Morton's in Downtown."

  • "So my sister and I took our grandparents out for lunch to Morton's for DineLA. My sister got the crab cake blt and everyone else got the Morton's burger. One was overcooked and mine was under seasoned. The crab cakes were not great as well. Overall for the price that this place is I don't think that the food was worth it. Maybe if I had gotten a steak it would of been better but I feel like this place should be avoided."

  • "I had never been to LA before and seen Morton's on a cable show, as well as other restaurants.. I went with 2 other friends , we all flew to LA from Spokane to see a concert. The service was awesome .. Very friendly, funny waiters and a waitress named Monica who was absolutely fantastic. I hope I have a chance to go back someday. Thanks KC"

  • "The prime ribeye with black truffle butter and the Cajun ribeye were amazing!! The au-gratin potatoes were also good, but you'll be too into your steak to notice sides. I definitely recommend the chocolate soufflé to top of your meal!"
