  • "Best steak I've ever had in my life- the Chicago styled ribeye. The peppered strip steak was also amazing, but maybe a little too thick of a pepper crust and definitely sat in the shadow of the ribeye. The chopped salad I got I personally didn't enjoy at all, but my date ate my plate for me and evidently loved it. The bacon Mac and cheese was everything you could hope for for a Mac and cheese, definitely a must-order, as well as the legendary sundae. Very kind service, and I think the manager even stopped at every table to see how people were doing. I sat next to the kitchen and could watch the steaks being prepared, that was a very neat aspect."

  • "I have always had a great dining experience at Morton's and this time was no different, except the waitress remembered me from my last visit (a pleseant surprise). I can't say enough about our waitress, Sarah C. She was attentive, personable and made us feel very welcomed. I had a friend join me who had never been to Morton's. She was immediately impressed and vows to return with her husband. Finally, it was clearly a team effort to Nicholas, Neftali and Sarah C. and of course the managers checking in to ensure we were happy. We really enjoyed ourselves. We enjoyed the 6oz filet oscar style (melt in your mouth) and the double pork chop (wow), cheesecake and key lime pie were very good too. Thanks again!!"

  • "This is our first time at Mortons as part of Taste of Hartford 2014. Very pleasantly surprised. After using valet parking, we were greeted, asked wether we wanted a booth or table and seated promptly. Although Restaurant Week menu's are smaller that their regular menu, the choices were very adequate and proviuded plenty of food. Why steak houses put a huge steak knive in front of you is an puzzle, as our filet could have been cut with a fork. As we were celebrating our son's birthday, the hostess provided us with a picture of the occasion as we left. We'll be back."

  • "Eating at Morton's in downtown Hartford is always a special experience. The service is extraordinary, and the food is delicious. I ordered the 35th anniversary course, starting with a perfectly dressed Caesar salad, then the tasty filet mignon with broccoli as a side, and ending with the small but satisfying chocolate mousse dessert. To accompany my meal, I tried the Cabernet special for $16, the most I've ever paid for wine but also the best red I've ever had. The cappuccino I ordered to go with the dessert was hot and foamy. The dining room has an upscale but relaxed vibe. I would strongly recommend Morton's, especially to celebrate a special occasion."

  • "Recently ate at Morton's in Hartford. Food was it's fabulous high quality and great taste as is the trademark of Morton's throughout the USA. Staff is very knowledgeable and attentive, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Top of the line entrees, especially the steaks, and a great wine list to go with it. I recommend this to anyone who wants the best there is in a very nice setting."

  • "This was once our go to high end streak house.....not any more. Very disappointed in steak, wasn't cooked properly and you needed a knife to cut this filet (unlike prior visits). Potatoes had so much horseradish we couldn't eat them. However, I did not complain as we were dining with others and didn't want to make an issue of the food. Will be a Ruth Chris customer going forward."

  • "First time at Morton's Hartford, and first time at a Morton's. We decided to go after a show at the XL Center on a Sunday afternoon. I made reservations thru Open Table on my phone while we were waiting for the show to start... it was that quick and easy. It was a short walk on a gorgeous day but we were a bit nervous while walking tho. I would definitely recommend the valet. The food was delicious... bread, salad, steaks cooked to perfection, sides and dessert. We ordered specialty drinks which were absolutely fabulous. The service from the time we walked through the door was outstanding. Would definitely visit another Morton's. Would "maybe" visit Hartford if it were during the day again."

  • "I made my reservation and stated we were celebrating 3 graduations. College, High School and Middle School. They prepared special menus for us and put glittery starts on the table and every person who came by the table knew what we were celebrating and congratulated all the graduates at the table. The food was amazing and our service was great. They made us feel welcome, not rushed and that they cared a great deal about everything. We never had to ask for water, or refills on anything. Some of us did the Prix fix dinner and some ordered off the regular menu. It didn't matter where we ordered from the food was fantastic and cooked perfectly."

  • "From beginning to end the experience was painless, smooth, and delivered everything I needed my best friends bachelor party to be. Laurie was the most helpful coordinator I've ever been lucky enough to work with, she made my reservation and explained my menu options simply and aided me through the process. The night we went the valet parked our cars, which is a godsend for anyone who's tried to find cheap parking in the middle of Hartford during rush hour, the meal was, and I quote "the most decadent food and the prettiest food I have ever eaten" from the Bachelor himself. Desert was as legendary as stated on the menu and the waitstaff were so polite. All in all 10 out of 10, definitely recommending and coming back soon and often"

  • "I never had the opportunity to visit a Morton's but I need to find a nice place to treat my son for his college graduation and wanted it to be special. I had heard only nice things about Morton's and was able to use the open table reservation system to book a date and explain the occasion. We were greeted with a custom menu and decorations for the graduate. The server was excellent, friendly, professional and a pure pleasure. We were treated to a group picture which was quickly printed and put into a folder, compliments of the restaurant. Highly recommended for very special occasions."

  • "I've been to the Hartford Morton's several times and it's apparently gone down hill. While the wine list is solid with decent pricing the food costs are outrageous. We started with the seafood platter for three which was one shrimp, one oyster, one crab leg, and a small portion of lobster for 25 dollars per person. AVOID THIS AT ALL COSTS. The steaks were good, but not great, mine arrived warm with my onion rings which were the highlight of the meal. The service was outstanding but bit doesn't make up for the quality of the meal at nearly 100 dollars per person before the wine and drinks. Overall I was highly disappointed. "

  • "I took my spouse for dinner prior to theater. I made the reservation using open table and included a.note that asked if we could be seated early if we arrived prior to our reservation time. We got thee and I indicated that I had a reservation. The maitre'd knew who I was and seated us immediately. We had prompt service that was not intrusive and the staff were friendly but not familiar. It felt elegant and intimate and was very nice. I know my spouse felt the same way because the comment given half.way through was that it felt like date night. High five!!!! The food was perfect and the overall experience was worth the not.insubstantial price. I would always recommend Morton's but this was more special than usual."

  • "Four of us went before a show to celebrate my husband's birthday. We got the earliest booking, 5pm, as the show started at 6:30. I told them multiple times that we were pressed for time, but unfortunately they didn't pay much attention to it. We waited a long time to order, and to receive the bill and pay. We did make it to the show, but by running and we only had a minute to spare before it started. We didn't even get to stay at the restaurant for dessert. Also, my sister's filet mignon was cooked well done at best, when she ordered medium well. But, they did give her her meal for free, as we didn't have time for them to make her another steak. However, the food was amazing, and the service was great other than being a little slow."

  • "I thought the food was overpriced for the quality. If I am spending $50 on a steak it should melt in my mouth and it was no better than one I could make at home. We ordered the Mac and Cheese as a side dish and it tasted processed as well. I can name a dozen other restaurants within a mile of Morton's that have better food for 1/5 the price. I will never go there again."

  • "We had a lovely dinner to celebrate my husband's birthday. Our table had birthday confetti and they took a photo of us and presented it in a Morton's folder. The only slight disappointment was the wine. We asked for a reference from the sommelier (who was also serving food and seating customers) and she pushed the Raymond Primal Cut that was made especially for Morton's. The taste was flat and not complementary to the steak. Other than that we had a lovely time."
