  • "It was my spouse's birthday and the staff at Morton's Georgetown made sure that he felt special and celebrated. Everyone, from the entrance to my waiters, kept congratulating him. Special menus were printed with his name, congratulating him; birthday cake, all the scene. It was a fantastic experience and he left the restaurant overjoyed. And, of course, the food was PERFECT as ever."

  • "I have to admit----Morton's was not our first choice, but it may be from now on when traveling to Georgetown! We were greeted promptly, and we were offered to be seated, even though our entire party was not present. The seating is comfortable, the atmosphere accommodating. The ambiance was a little noisy at first, but then settled out as we stayed. Our food was perfection, and every recommendation by our server turned out exactly as she said. She was very knowledgeable about the menu, and everyone raved about their food. One in our party had the salmon, said it was some of the best he's ever had! We even stayed and had desserts, all huge and tasty, especially the carrot cake! We ate inside, but their outdoor patio area looked fun!"

  • "We sat on the patio and had a great time. We were able to watch the sporting event we wanted to on the TV in the bar, enjoy adult beverages and able to stay there till 11 pm. Food was great and our waiter was fantastic!! We will definitely come back again."

  • "We revisited Georgetown--where we met and lived in 1976 less than a block from what is now Mortons. After visiting our old house and strolling the neighborhood, we decided on dinner at the restaurant to cap off the day. The folks made it very special event indeed, and the food was all that you would expect from this fine old establishment. The menus were printed with our names, we were given a quiet and private booth, the staff took a commemorative photograph and we concluded out meal with a wonderful dessert courtesy of Mortons. The service was impeccable. I focus on these aspects because nearly everyone knows Mortons reputation for fine steaks and seafood, and the chef did not disappoint. The five stars above say it all."

  • "Amazing dining experience. Best "skinny" margarita I've ever had. Amazing service. Cajun ribeye was out of this world!!!"

  • "We found the atmosphere, food, and service from the entire staff, to be top-notch. The portions are very large so sharing only enhances the experience and keeps it a little more affordable. There is also an outdoor patio that allows smoking cigars after the fine dining experience at Mortons. I give the entire experience Five stars!"

  • "VERY OVER PRICED, RUTH CHRIS OFFERS COMPARABLE ATMOSPHERE AND MENU AND WILL SAVE YOU A HUNDRED DOLLARS."

  • "Morton knows how to turn a meal into a special occasion. Steakhouse fare features huge a la carte items that are well-prepared. The downside is the price. Be prepared to spend over $100 per person without liquor. Tip: stick to items on the menu. I asked for sea bass without the crab and it was tough and greasy."

  • "Excellent but pricey! Top cuts of meat can cost and the pricing make sense, the value is seen. A special glass of wine… value is there. But any side dish ie. spinach/mushrooms or a baked potatoe- $11- $12 - they lose me there!"

  • "Classic steakhouse with great service and excellent food."

  • "I had a disappointing evening at Morton's. I wanted to celebrate a great semester with my son who loves steaks, so I chose Morton's because of their longstanding reputation. The food was so expensive and so forgettable. Creamed spinach had way too much nutmeg and way too cream laden. My son's filet was good, properly cooked, but not any different, really from other good steak places. I had stuffed shrimp which was dry and the crab stuffing tasted like stuffing only. Again a heavily creamed side of pasta rounded off a below average offering. The evening cost $165 -one glass of wine - 2 mains,2 sides. Our waiter was in-attentive, spent no time explaining the menu. My glass of wine came in a dish-rag smelling glass. Helpful maitre'd and valet"

  • "I've had the pleasure of eating at Morton's in Georgetown several times. It is always a pleasure for a steak fan. Morton's is a safe choice. A place to return to."

  • "Dinner was amazing and our server was on top of his game. He was very careful not to rush us (really nice on such a busy night!) I had tuna and my husband had a steak. He is still talking about the bone in ribeye! Able to walk here from our hotel. All in all a perfect night!"

  • "I made the appointment on Saturday late morning, and then had to modify the reservation from 6PM to 5:30PM, using Open Table. I was initially pleased to get a table on the same day. When I arrived, however, I was told - rather snippily - that neither reservation existed or had ever existed. When I offered to show the reservation via my phone, I was told that would not be necessary but that I would not receive points. The points were of little importance to me, but my overall memory of the Georgetown Mortons will be the receptionist denying the validity of my reservation and acting as if I had no right to be there. I was not impressed."

  • "Realize it was restaurant week and the portions were slightly smaller, I am also typically a ribeye kind of guy which wasn't offered, but I wasn't too impressed with the quality of the steak overall."

  • "Would like to say that the service I received at Mortons was awesome. Are server Reggie was so helpful in guiding us through the menu. He really made are dinner really special. It's was really nice that each time he came to are table he the biggest smile. And just the team work of other servers that stop by to assist of was really nice. Anne Maria and Deborah was also great in helping us that evening. My guest really enjoyed themselves. Will be back soon"

  • "We had to wait for our table even though the restaurant was only 1/2 full. We were not greeted for over five minutes. They charged $55 for their "Restaurant Week" menu. The steak was a nice piece of meat but totally UN-SEASONED. We were overcharged on our bill, after asking for it to be corrected we had to twice explain the problem and then nobody apologized. I would maybe pay $15 for the food if the service were great. Safe your time and money, go anywhere else."

  • "Only complaint: Saturday night on restaurant week meant for a packed house and louder than desirable noise."

  • "My busy-mom friends and I get together once a month for good food, libations, and laughs. Morton's provided the perfect atmosphere for our occasion. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was fantastic, wine selection was extensive, and the cocktails were tasty. The valet was also quick and convenient, so a hat tip to them as well."

  • "Cool vibe & my steak was good but not the best I've had but I'll continue to frequent Morton's when I'm in the neighborhood!"

  • "You would think an expensive steakhouse like Morton's. Would know how to cook a $50.00 steak. I ordered the bone end ribeye medium rare. After an overly long wait I was served a well done piece of meat. Frankly, I think they should give me a voucher for another meal Casey P"

  • "Staff and restaurant excellent, just like last time, which was 5 years ago. Only a couple of small goofs: the waiter told us, after we'd begun to order, that the printed menu was no longer valid, which meant I had to substitute a different appetizer. Also, although they had kindly printed birthday wishes on the menu, it had the wrong date (December instead of January). Also, unlike my previous dining experience, no one came out with a tray showing the various cuts of meat. Nonetheless, our waiter Reggie was great, very attentive and friendly, and the food was outstanding."

  • "I love coming to the the Morton's in Georgetown because they have awesome service, amazing food, and gorgeous decor. The wait staff was very patient with my group since we were there for Christmas Eve dinner and there were about eight of us at the table. My steak was cooked perfectly at a medium-well temperature, and although two of the party members wanted their steaks more done, the manager recooked the steaks to a more-preferred temperature. I'll definitely go back!"

  • "Great ambience, great service, however, for being a steak house to serve several overcooked steaks was a little disappointing. Salads definitely do not meet an upscale restaurant quality. Ambience was nice so we would give a second chance."

  • "The restaurant is WAY overrated. The food is good at best. The drinks are not. At their prices, it should be excellent. The restaurant itself is overpacked. We were sat at a table crammed next to the server station where we felt like we were in the middle of a highway. I informed them it was my wedding night when i confirmed the reservation. Thanks for nothing Mortons"

  • "Went on NY Eve. Regular Morton's patron but first time at this location. Service was fair. One steak cooked so poorly it was sent back only to come back nuked to a crisp. Long wait just to get a coat as person doing coats was also Hostess. Manager once stepped in which was appreciated but Waiter was not too interested in making things right. No one checked later to see if everything was okay. Will skip this one going forward."

  • "The title of this review says it all. The steaks were fabulous, ambiance was good, and the service did not skip a beat. In fact, the service was almost too good because they were so attentive it felt like they were rushing us. Of course it was New Year's Eve so I'm guessing that isn't the standard. But the bottom line here is while I knew it would be pricey, it was too much. $57 for a New York strip? $16.50 for a high-end Manhattan? Whatever. So the bottom line here is quality was great, quantity was great, but gentlemen you better make sure your date is worth it!"

  • "The Cajun ribeye steak was WONDERFUL!!! The sides were also very good, but the standard fare for a steak house. I also enjoyed the ahi tuna appetizer and the service was great. I will return."

  • "Since Landry has taken over this chain, while the range of choices of food has increased, the quality of the Steak has gone down. This is no longer the "best steak in town" and in fact would not fit into my top 5. It appears that the source of the beef is the problem and unfortunately it does not measure up. Seems to me that at a minimum the owner would want to keep up the quality of the main draw, but alas, it appears the almighty dollar is running the show. My current top 5: The Palm, Prime Rib, Charley Palmer, Del Campo, Ruth's Chris"

  • "Had been there only a couple of times, but sorry we haven't been there more. From the moment we walked in the door, it was clear that we were the focus of the evening. The hostess made sure we had a table that we were happy with. They had a special menu printed to wish me Happy Birthday. Our busser was there right away to find out what kind of water we'd like. And our waiter was just amazing. Once he confirmed which of us was celebrating a birthday, he asked us how we wanted the meal paced. We told him we had all the time in the world. Our meal was over 3 hours. We had the most amazing service and food. Do ask for Daniel (our server) if you visit. They took a picture of us for my birthday and brought us a printed copy in a frame."

  • "This restaurant is way overpriced for what it is...really...$12.00 for a few asparagus? $20 for one crab cake?... Not impressed."
