My friends and I went during the inauguration which was BUSY, the host was wonderful and apologized several times for us waiting 10 minutes for our table. It was very understandable during such a busy event, I was very impressed by his professional style. It was a great meal and we had a lot of fun.

A back-to-basics steakhouse menu, high-quality beef that is well prepared, but a little pricey, especially the side orders.

We were looking for an early New Years Eve dining experience. We had never been to Morton's so we decided this would be a good time to give it a try. We were not disappointed. Everything was very good and the service was excellent.

Extremely disappointing. Overcooked and burnt hash browns and lyonaise. Porterhouse and small filet had too much gristle, both over-cooked. Third filet was okay. Mgmt compensated by taking price of hash browns off but nothing else. Will go to another steak house next time. Would not refer. Try another Morton's if you are set on Morton's. I expected the high prices and have no problem paying this as long as the food is comparable.

Morton's is a nice place--good food and menu. The only problem, I think, is that it is dreadfully overpriced. I don't know that there is any solution to that issue, but I won't come back unless I hear that there is some way to make the cost more reasonable. My meal for a my family of four was over $300, and we ordered very modestly. Is this just a place for folks that don't care about money?

The Morton's staff, particularly Maitre d' Dave Crane, provided a wonderful experience for my older son's 13th birthday. We could not have asked for a better time. Kudos to Morton's for figuring out how to preserve the high-end restaurant experience during challenging economic times. We will be back!

Everything about this steakhouse was fabulous. I just had my one year anniversary dinner with my girlfriend there and I couldn't have picked a better place for it. Along with the vibrant atmosphere, excellent service, and delicious food, our waiter brought out specially printed menus wishing us a happy anniversary and offered to take photos of us, later printing them out for us to take home. Definitely a must try for anyone in and around the DC area. Amazing steak.

I had never been to Morton's before so I was actually looking forward to eating here. We utilized the card for a 3 course meal for two for $99. I had the filet mignon with crab cake, chop salad and the key lime pie for dessert. The steak was good but not as flavorable as I would have liked. This was very disappointing to me because Morton's is supposed to be one of the best in town for steaks but I've had better. When I visited Costa Rico in September, we ate at this great Argentian steakhouse and it was superb! The texture was amazing, the flavors popped out, and it was cooked to perfection. Although the steak was good, I guess I was looking for the same amazing taste from Morton's. The service was great but the flavor was lacking.

We have enjoyed Morton's several times over the past year. This was our first dining experience at the one in Georgetown. Other Morton's have free valet parking but this one charged $9, there is a parking lot directly across the street which we did not see until it was too late. I also was disappointed as I had requested on our reservation a quiet booth as it was our wedding anniversary. No one acknowledged our anniversary (other Morton's have in the past) and there was NOT ONE PERSON already seated in the dining room yet we were shown to a table, not a booth and in the middle of the row. Other than that, the food was great...we got the $99 dinner for two which was a real bargain (coupon on Mortons.com 11/28) Service was very good also.

I have eaten at several Morton's outposts, not to mention, several premium steakhouses throughout the country, and would say that the steaks we had at Morton's onthis occasion were the best we've ever had: perfectly cooked, full flavored, impecably served with great sides.

Although our reservation was for 8:30 PM, we were not seated till 8:45. It may not seem to be too long, but, waiting 15 minutes inside the door, where the wait staff and customer traffic occurs is not very desirable. The hostess could also be a little bit more helpful and accommodating rather than giving the typical answer 'we do our best to seat you'. I was contacted that afternoon to confirm my reservation. So what is the sense of making reservation if the restaurant can't keep their end of the promise? The wait staff was great and the food was very ordinary. The wine list is extensive with a good variety.

All Morton's Steakhouses are NOT equal. In the DC area, the Georgetown Morton's surpasses the rest with great food, attentive service, and overall conscientious attention to detail. We eat out frequently, and avoid chains, but this particular Morton's consistently has us breaking our rules.

Of all the Morton's in the DC area (and I include Northern VA and Bethesda in this category), the Georgetown location is not only the least stuffy, but more importantly, they cook the best steak. The management at Morton's are usually friendly and assist behind the bar or on the floor when needed, but the Georgetown team also does a great job of interacting with the diner. There is nothing wrong with the other locations in DC, Reston, or Bethesda (Crystal City is another story...). Georgetown simply takes the steakhouse dining experience to another level.

People walked in without a reservation and were seated before us. When it was brought to the hosts attention they apologized but accidentally did it again, then bought us a round of drinks. The table was in the main walkway and was VERY cold; even the water in our glasses was blowing. Overall Morton's is a good choice, maybe we just went on a bad day.
