The server's name was Lenny and he was a pleasure. Lenny was very friendly and make sure we were well educated on our selections for the evening. I have nothing but raving reviews on the quality of the food and the filet mignon was the best I've had all year. The service was also very good, but not great. This is definitely a traditional steakhouse. Mortons knew it was our anniversary...everybody at the restaurant ... receptionist , maître'd, waiter, and server all wished us a happy anniversary. Our menus were printed with the occasion, date and our names, they took a picture, printed it and gave to us at no charge, then served us a wonderful meal. The ambiance setting was cozy with it being lightly dimmed. The Cajun steak was to perfection(no need for steak sauce), the Grilled Jumbo Asparagus was very tasty as well as the Macaroni and Cheese with Bacon Bits(suggested by our server) and the Chopped Spinach Salad was delicious. Needless to say the Carrot Cake was AWESOME! (once again suggested by our server). My friend totally enjoyed every minute of her dinner as well. After sampling several very disappointing downtown restaurants on a recent visit to Atlanta, Morton's became the choice for our last evening. We're pleased to say it met our every expectation & more. In fact, my companion & I agreed we should have made Morton's our place of choice from the beginning, thus sparing ourselves the many earlier disappointments. Atlanta's downtown is a drear place over-populated with mediocre restaurants. Morton's stood out like a pearl on the beach. Do yourself a favor: Skip everything else! Start & end your stay with Morton's. I came with friends and my experience was much better. Our server on this evening was delightful. A 7 pm reservation guarantees an energetic and noisy atmosphere, making it hard to converse. The food was delish! The Salmon Mixed Grill with Shrimp was flavorful and the brussels sprouts were my favorite. My guests had steaks and were quite pleased. We split the chocolate souffle which is always the perfect ending to any meal at Morton's or worth the trip alone. The Secret Garden Cocktail, though small, was quite potent and a delightfully smooth concoction ... I'll be back next year! The mixed grill of crab cake and shimp was delicious and I love the addition of the brussels sprouts with shallots and bacon! What I didn't care for was the attitude of my server on this particular evening, as I was a single woman dining alone. He was pushy and a bit put off that I didn't order an alcolic beverage or dessert.
