Diner Reviews
  • "Food and service were fantastic. Price is high but what you would expect from a very high end steak house. The bone-in ribeye melted in your mouth."

  • "Steaks and chops were perfectly done. Terrible attention from servers soured the experience."

  • "Rachael and Brendon had everything under control. It was quite busy but they were able to take care of everyone in a timely, friendly manner. We went two days in a row and not only did Rachael remember our drink from the night before but also our name! Pleasant and happy bar. The food was outstanding as we have always found at Morton's. Will stop by again next time in Atlanta."

  • "Food was well prepared. Service was excellent. We were seated in a quiet area of the restaurant that allowed us to talk business."

  • "The first experience was for Valentine's Day, I didn't think it could get any better...until this time. I have recommended this awesome restaurant to so many ppl and I can't wait to come back! Everything was divine! See u next time! The Ballengers...."

  • "been eating at this Morton's for the last 8 years. it is only a few blocks from the ritz, and the walk is easy.. Meat is ALWAYS cooked to perfection. they keep the sides simple, and the portions can be split. service is watchful but not hovering. there are several great steak places in Atlanta, and I have eaten at them all. their key is consistency in the cooking. Morton's is great. If you eat early to avoid the crowds you also will miss the noise."

  • "This was our first visit to Morton's and we were not disappointed. We love a great steak and they delivered. While it is pricey, it is worth the visit for a special, romantic occasion. We arrived early when the restaurant was not crowded and we received excellent service and attention, our food was delicious and our server was very mindful of our evening schedule around concert tickets. She had us full and on our way in plenty of time to make our show. Thanks, Sandy, for a great dinner!"

  • "Morton's is still the Best Steakhouse. Period. No one can match them in Food, Service and Hospitality. Dined with a group of 7 and everything was perfect! Francis (Server) and Ronnie (Manager) were fantastic. Food was outstanding. Brought in a couple of family members who have not been to Morton's in Atlanta and they were absolutely blown away. Can't wait to return. Thank you!"

  • "We had our 23rd wedding anniversary dinner at Morton's Atlanta. The entire evening was nothing short of spectacular!! The food was outstanding and service even better. There is no other restaurant I would recommend for such a special occasion. Cant wait to go again!!"

  • "Was not worth the $425 bill with out tip for 4. Steaks were overcooked, shrimp was cold on the mixed grill. Onion rings seemed frozen and not worth $13. Overall very ordinary at extraordinary prices."

  • "Wife and I were in town for the SEC tourney and had a great time. Staff in the bar was terrific - Brendan and Caroline. Really good people and the food was outstanding."

  • "Our waiter tried four times to get us to join the landrys dinner club and seemed ticked that we didn't . It was like being at a timeshare sale. I did not appreciate spending 400+ for dinner and being interupted with sales pitches. He spread the brochure out on the table and showed us the map!! Seaks are awesome. Sides good but macaroni not so much. Maitre 'd was excellent. Grand mariner souffle excellent. Decor is tired."

  • "I don't know what I was expecting, however; it was just good not outstanding just good. Hadn't been there since 1988, thought it was nice then....same. Not over the top just ok. Two of us dined bill was $155.00 not including tip or dessert. Ambiance mediocre could use to be updated."

  • "We were served in an overflow room and were served on cold plates (lukewarm steak on a cold plate is not what you expect from a "name" steakhouse). A few little hitches in the service -- such as being handed menus with no prices and some confusion in the orders. Food generally tasty, but unexceptional. We were comped with desserts, but we generally don't order them. We come to a steakhouse for its steaks. Service also extremely slow. The overflow room lacked the ambiance of the main dining area. If the restaurant could not handle the number in our party, we would have looked elsewhere. The overflow room produced non-attentive service. In a main dining room one can usually attract the attention of waitstaff."

  • "The food was delicious I can not complain there at all but the service was well below the bar. We got attitude from the waitress and she even talked back to us disagreeing that what we said about our order was wrong. When you go to a nice restaurant you expect all aspects to be above and beyond. On a note of the food the molten chocolate cake is a must get for dessert!"

  • "It was my husband's birthday and since Capital Grille was booked he chose Morton's. Our party of seven was glad he did. The food and service was excellent. They took a group picture and framed it for my husband! We were all surprised. I highly recommend for a special occasion or a romantic outing."

  • "Service was tremendous. Needy did an excellent job of taking care of us. It was our 48th wedding anniversary & the Morton's staff did a great job recognizing that with the personalized menu, photo, etc. Table seatinf was lousey; close to others on each side & small."

  • "Had a group of 6 for a business dinner and every person had a great dinner. This is something you expect for the price but many high-end steakhouses don't deliver much of the time. On this night - Morton's was great."

  • "Went here while a conference was taking place and Morton's quality of food was great. The service was not the greatest, server forgot my drink and had to be reminded to refill others drinks when they where empty. As a general rule a restaurant at this price level should not require me to continually ask to have another drink or glass of wine, etc. The place was packed and very noisy which made it very difficult to talk to anyone. I've been to many Morton's across the country and generally they are nice with low noise volume but this was absolutely crazy loud. Tables were to close together but overall your typical great food experience."

  • "There is something going on with beef lately; steak seems so flavorless, and that was my experience at Mortons on this visit. Mortons is very good, but the sheer volume of customers combined with a beef shortage is yielding sub-par quality for the astronomical price."
    Dined on 3/4/2014
  • "The food was fairly good but not great, somewhat overpriced. I ordered an 8oz filet, oscar style and while I thought the crab was very good and the bernaise on the side was also good, the steak wasn't hot all the way through and I had expected better from such an established steakhouse. Aside from that the restaurant was just way too loud that impacted the service b/c it was hard to communicate w/ our waitress. She was very attentive and helpful but it was too loud so I felt like we were shouting at each other the whole time. I wish I could rate this place higher. I did enjoy the meal very much but at the end of the day, it could have been much better."

  • "Recent first-time visitor to Morton's for a birthday celebration and the service was excellent--very attentive staff, special "birthday" menus, and generally treated as "special" guests. Used coupons for a $59.99 3-course dinner (printed from Morton's website) and had a perfect evening. Steaks were fabulous, seafood divine, sides delicious. Very large portions of the sides and salads....we brought enough food home for a second meal the following night! The au gratin potatoes and asparagus sides were favorites. Great wine selection, too! Overall, we had a perfect evening and will definitely be back!"

  • "Stay away. Food was terrible and poorly prepared and not worth what paid for. Service was smug, arrogant and inattentive like we should be happy they were even servicing us. I wouldn't go back if it was free"

  • "My husband and I really enjoyed dinner, service & attention to detail Morton's displayed.. We were greeted with specialized menus for my birthday! I order the filet and my husband had the bone-in ribeye, our food was cooked to perfection! During my meal I was presented with a dessert menu to choose a free dessert of my choice! Now most places I know give you the dessert they want you to have so having that option to choose was great!( The Cheesecake is amazing!!) We were then approached by the hostess to take a picture and was given a personalized album! Super-Friendly Staff, Excellent Food Ruth Chris Who? lol"

  • "We were in town for the IPPE show during the January 2014 'SnowJam'. Other restaurants and customers canceled on us due to the weather, so my show staff and I got to enjoy the Morton's dinner. It was only the 2nd time I've eaten here, but it certainly did not disappoint. Being one of the restaurants still open, close proximity to area hotels, and a favorite among IPPE crowds, Morton's was very busy on 1-28-14, but the service and the food was still exceptional. One of my personal favorites is Morton's signature blue cheese dressing. Thanks for another great experience--in spite of the awful weather!"

  • "The chocolate soufflé is tremendous. We have been to Morton's for valentines day three years in a row and have come to expect great things. The only knock on my last visit is that the waitress made sure to let us know gratuity is not included. I know they make a living on tips, I get it."

  • "My husband and I had always frequented Morton's in Minneapolis, but since that location closed, we hadn't been to the restaurant in a very long time. As a surprise, we visited the location in Atlanta. The service, food, and atmosphere were exactly as we had expected. Our steak was prepared perfectly, and everyone went out of their way to make the evening special."

  • "The service was impeccable. My husband ordered steak and it was very tender but lacked in flavor. I ordered a plate consisting of a crab cake and 4 shrimp and found my entree to be overcooked, which is the kiss of death for seafood. The onion bread they bring out was very good and our shared mashed potatoes were good. I wanted to be impressed with this dining experience bases on the price and reviews but I walked away feeling slightly disappointed."

  • "The food was great but service was slow and we didn't feel attended to much."

  • "We had been to Morton's once before with good friends and had a great dining experience! Morton's did not disappoint us this time either. We each had the Valentines Special which was Filet and Lobster tail. It was delicious and cooked perfectly. The spinach salad was large enough to share. The bacon vinegarette dressing was very light and complimented the salad well. We each enjoyed a cocktail before dinner and a glass of wine with the meal. I loved the cozy atmosphere of Mortons- not too loud and my husband and I were able to hear each other talk! The service was timely and not intrusive. We are both looking forward to our next dining experience at Mortons."

  • "Morton's was great. A little expensive but the service was great. My bf got the ribeye and I got the seabass. The seabass was cooked to perfection! Steak was great and had a lot of flavor. We spent about $150 which only included our meal and drinks. For that price you would hope to get side items also. For the money I feel they are over priced. Before we go back we will try some other steak houses first to see who gives you the best food for your money. Overall good experience."

  • "We ate here two nights earlier and had a great meal. We had six people at a round table and had a lot of room. We had made both reservations weeks before. On this night we were put at the same table with a party of Ten. Bad move! There was not enough room to fit under the table, it was a very bad experience. We asked for a larger table, they said no.Do not eat here on busy nights."

  • "This place was the worst. They ran out of lobster bisque and served a medium steak close to blue. The waiter may have been a serial killer. And there was 30 people waiting at the valet. Overpriced and mediocre. Try something else. The only way this place survives is the business crowd based on the downtown location."
