  • "We really enjoyed our anniversary celebration at Morton's. The special treatment we received to celebrate our night was really nice. Highlights: The bartender was really attentive and very friendly. Great drinks! Shrimp cocktail Lobster bisque Ribeye Au gratin potatoes Negatives: The bacon macaroni and cheese was a bit bland The service got slow as the night came to an end. We waited what felt like forever for our dessert and coffee. It was a bit of a letdown after everything seeming so perfect. Our server had a late table come in and she seemed to be focusing on getting their food while we waited to end our meal."

  • "We always have a good time when we go to Morton's and could not pass up the opportunity when they were offering a special 35th anniversary menu at $35/person! It included three choices of soup or salad, three entre choices (filet mignon, salmon, chicken), several sides and three dessert choices. With the perfectly prepared food, the great service and a wonderful bottle of wine, we could not have been happier."

  • "Dropped in here because of Morton's 35th anniversary discount menu, not a special occasion. Expected to be shown a less-than-choice table (cheap seats) and rushed through the abbreviated menu. Not at all! Brian greeted us at the door, seated us in the center of Morton's dining room. Our waiter was outstanding. The wine selection, as always, was superb. Our salads were the standard size (each enough for 2!), the filets grilled absolutely perfectly, and the sides more than generous. Morton's is our favorite Dallas steakhouse, and its reputation stellar... even for two older adults using a coupon!"

  • "We were celebrating a 33rd Anniversary and Morton's went the extra mile to make our evening special. They picked us up at our hotel and we were seated within 2 min. The lobster bisque was great and the filet mignon melted in your mouth. I had mine plain like I prefer and my wife had her's "Oscarsized" with crabmeat, asparagas and hollandaise on top. Both were delicious. We shared the chocolate souffle for desert and it wasn't enough chocolate for our taste but was very good. Service was great from the menus with our names on it to the picture they took of us to take home for a nice memory. Both our servers did a very nice job, were very attentive and made our anniversary night dinner special and one we'll remember for a long time to come."

  • "I looked forward to my first visit to Morton's - we called ahead 30 minutes ahead to confirm "are we still good for our 8:15 reservation?" and were *not* told that the restaurant was running 45 minutes behind schedule. Chopped salad was not very tasty - would have preferred a choice of dressing. The center-cut ribeye was very thin -- tender but not very flavorful (@ $48). The lobsters were large but not so "tender" - and we needed more utensils for accessing the meat. Excellent wine! Souffle was ok. Server was competent, but we felt like we were sitting in left field somewhere (we were put in the second back room - with no decor!), not really like we were "in" the restaurant. Not a good way to make an impression with first time diners!"

  • "It was an anniversary occasion and we were greeted with Happy Anniversary greetings upon entrance throughout to exit. There were nice touches like the special printing of menus and picture. The things that were not 5 stars were #1) the shoestring parm potatoes were not crispy enough for my liking, 2) Service was good, however, I had lobster and told the waiter it was my first experience with lobster. He didn't supply proper tools for cracking in the hard places so I was left with trying to improvise with a fork. As I glanced over another table having lobster was fully equipped with all the tools. The food was wonderful and overall it was a good experience for the first time ever at Mortons."

I would recommend Morton's as a location for any special celebration as it makes each diner feel important and special.   • "Celebrating our 14-year anniversary, I mentioned it in the online reservation and was congratulated by all the staff we came in contact with and had a framed picture of us made and had a complimentary dessert to share! The food was phenomenal - the 6 ounce sirloin melted in my mouth, the souffle and the key lime pie were excellent, the onion soup was very good, the garlic asparagus was cooked just right (not too soft nor too chewy), the double mashed potatoes were tasty. The warm loaf of bread was delicious as well."

Treated as though we were the only ones in restaurant. Have dined there several times with same consistant service. One special time was on my Mother's 93rd bithday. We made reservations and when we walked in the door, greeted her by name and the menus had her name on it. She felt very special!"

  • "Just had another absolutely wonderful time again at Morton's. Everything is just perfectly delicious from the appetizers to the main course to the dessert. I absolutely cannot wait to come back again! From the valet when we arrived to the sommelier bringing over the first bottle, to the manager taking my jacket & checking with us to make sure our dining experience was just right! BTW, I'd highly recommend getting a bottle of the Chappellet Double C Ranch red blend. It's pretty moderately priced and goes well with just about any steak on the menu!"

I can't see spending $200 on dinner for two with a baby screaming a few tables away and the family next to us in shorts and t-shirts. They've definitely become a chain and not my idea of a fine dining experience for a Saturday night. "

The noise level was pretty loud which we found unusual for a high-end steakhouse. We had great service as a whole, but our server kept sweeping the crumbs on to the floor by our table, which I found out of character as well. Overall, I would definitely go back. The food was divine! "

We were provided with a menu acknowledging our anniversary, a picture, and a complimentary dessert. The staff was very friendly and attentive, from the time we walked in the door. They also had a nice range of steaks and other food options, which was very well prepared. The location, setting and the ambience of the restaurant were ideal."

  • "The shrimp cocktail ($21) was overcooked and tasteless. The ribeye had about 30% inedible fat and grissle. Given that this was a special occasion, I preferred not to sent anything back. The total cost was over $300 ($315 + tip, to be exact. There are many other excellent choices in Dallas. "

The food could not be topped. The filet mignon melted in your mouth like butter. The chocolate mousse and key lime pie were decadent and made close to heaven.
