Morton's The Steakhouse - Coral GablesCoral Gables food week/father's dayConsidering we had gone to a fine dining restaurant during one of the busiest evenings on their busiest week is not apt to provide the best experience to use as a basis to grade the them. The service staff were very accomodating and due to a less than perfect experience were nice enough to comp us two very nice take home deserts. The food was exceptional,as was the wine. I would recommend not going on a special weekend (father's day and coral gables week simulatneously) as this fine dining experience will be a bit tarnished as the restaurant didn't appear to be equiped to handle the volume of diners. Overall though it was a pleasant enough experience I took my father for lunch the next day which was far more enjoyable.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing experience!This restaurant was wonderful. We were celebrating my daughters birthday and from the moment we arrived she felt special. They were expecting her and led us to a wonderful table outside where they had glitter confetti on the tablecloth and a specially prepared menu with her name wishing her happy birthday. We all had the 4 course summer special that we highly recommend for $49.00. We all started with the tuna appetizer, mortons salad, filet mignon with different side dishes and ended with a chocolate soufflé for dessert. Everything was excellent. I can honestly say I've never had a more delicious filet mignon. Overall it was an excellent evening and I highly recommend this restaurant.6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst TimerLoved it. décor. We have dined at many of their restaurants and have found all of them to be very good. Their steaks in my opinion are GREAT. My wife usually gets a fish or shrimp dish which she really likes. The portions are large enough to take some home for
lunch the next day. Over all it is a great dining experience5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMAWESOME....We celebrated our son's 20th birthday. I cannot stop telling you how wonderful our dinning experience was. The food, the service, the ambiance, everything was wonderful. I happend to mention to the waiter we were celebrating my son's birthday. They were kind enough to bring their own camera, take a picture and give us a copy in a nice card. Very classy. We will return. Morton's was an excellent choice! The diabetic needed to be fed right away and the house chop salad was brought out within minutes even before drink orders or water! Food was served to all with no mistakes. The wait staff was attentive but not overwhelming. We were not rushed and spent a leisurely 3 1/2 hours dining. We were seated too near the kitchen door, my steak was a little too well done for medium rare (didn't send it back cuz I was getting full and my son volunteered to eat it), the molten cake was hardly molten, mac and cheese too cheesy. That said, Beatrice was attentive and helpful.
