  • "Some of the food was not palliate pleasing at all. They could try a lot harder since they are across the street from Hillstone that you can't get into. The chef needs to taste the food. It was a business meeting and no one raved about their food and lots of food left on the plates. You're Morton's--act like it.!"

  • "Menu has a nice variety not just for beef eaters. Our steak was outstanding, it's expensive but when something is good you don't mind it if it is good and prepared as requested, our N.Y. strip was excellent. Don't order the chocolate souffle it was not good, not the way to end a fine dinner. Have eaten here many times will go back but will skip desert next time."

  • "Overall great experience but for the wine switch. They ran out of a burgundy and since nothing comparable was available a higher price wine was suggested at same price by the waiter. Manager overruled that at the time of paying for a so far nice experience ruining the whole thing. Difference was $ 18.-! Well done! Morton's used to be my favorite steak house chain."

  • "We were celebrating my husband's birthday, they gave us the wrong table, apparently they had one decorated for us but they apologized and quickly made up for it and decorated it for us and gave us special birthday menus. The waiter was attentive and friendly, the food was great, didn't love the Mac n cheese much but it was edible. Wine selection was good. I was surprised with a picture of us being taken, printed in color and presented to us as a gift. No other restaurant has given such a cute souvenir. Only thing I didn't like was this loud obnoxious table sitting in front of us, but I understand its out of anyone's control. I will definetly come back but this time for the Cajun rib eye and a different side. Will recommend."

  • "My husband and I went to this restaurant for valentines day dinner. The server was spectacular, she was very helpful, she had good wine suggestions and advised us of the daily specials. In addition to that the place closed @ 11pm and we were still there along with other couples without a rush. We ate broiled sea scallops, lobster and filet mignon, and had a cheesecake for dessert. It was notably expensive, but i think well worth it for the ambience and the quality. I would highly recommend this restaurant to others!"

  • "First off, our table was tiny and unstable. We couldn't move without our drinks almost falling off. They forgot to bring my husband's beer until halfway through the main course, which came out before our apps were finished, and there was no room on the table to put the plates. Some were hanging off the edge of the table! After the main course, the waiter left us sitting there for about 20 minutes before taking our dessert order. They forgot to bring us dessert and left us sitting there for another 20 min after which we asked for the dessert again. When dessert finally came, we asked for the bill. Another 20-30 min went by and we didn't see our waiter. We decided to leave the room and pay at the front of the restaurant with the hostess."

  • "We elected to celebrate our anniversary at Morton's based on a recommendation from a friend. After doing so, I feel I made the wrong decision. We would have been better served at Fleming's or Capital Grill. The food at Morton's was "Fair" considering the cost. Our side dish, bacon & onion mac & cheese, was dry - not creamy. Our steaks were simply OK. Overall not worth the price. The dessert, Morton's famous hot chocolate cake, was a bit overrated - nothing to rave about. The service was sub-par considering our waiter failed to do what he said he would and needed to be reminded on multiple occasions. In a way it felt as if we were being rushed. We also noticed that surrounding patrons were offered $25 gift cards to return and we were not."

  • "We were there for over 3 hours after we started complaining about them having to chase down the cow and butcher it they told us it was taking so long because of a large party up stairs. Telling us that made it worse because now we were second class customers. Also the special that I got E-mails about for 3 weeks before had a price of $55 they said the price was $59 after I told them I had the E-mail in my phone they relented and said we were right. Not a good night. We have been going there for 10 years don't think we will go back, its not the same as it was when Morton's owned it 3 years ago."

  • "Morton's, among many other fine steakhouses, should be a place to go and expect excellent service and food. The price for the meals should warrant that. This was not the case for me. I went with a group of 10 more people on a Sunday afternoon in August. There were about three other tables with with very small parties. We spent over three hours there. We were not trying to pass the time chatting, this was how long it took for them to take our order, serve us and bring our check. They even got several of our orders wrong. In addition, one of the bathrooms was broken and the one that was accessible to women, did not have any paper towels to dry hands."

Also for these prices there should be a bit more of a dress code for inside restaurant. People in Bermuda shorts take away from atmosphere of whole dining experience.   • "We booked an outside table for our group. To begin with the table was not set for 8 and infact never would be as each of our requests for napkins, glasses or cutlery were dealt with haphazardly...no waiter having the wherewithal to pre-think our needs! For an expensive restaurant the service was inconsistent. 10 minutes before anyone came with water, then a flurry of activity, followed by nothing. Waiters were pleasant but as we were outside I think we were 'out of sight, out of mind', there were no 'floating' waiters we could flag down when the need arose. The steaks were ok but my wife's was overcooked and mine was undercooked. The brocoli side order was basically pure garlic with a few bits of brocoli. Value for money? Not really."

They sat us in a lovely booth and presented us with a "special imprinted menu" as a take home souvenir. We took advantage of the $29 - 3 course lunch menu as well as shared an exquisite shrimp cocktail. For dessert I had the chocolate mousse and my husband the cheesecake. Both were delicious. I am very pleased we selected Morton's in Coral Gables to celebrate our Silver Anniversary!"

  • "Why this tittle? for the simple reason that there is no logic explanation or excuse to have tables re-arranged at 1pm on X'mas Eve, or any time fore this matter. The restaurant opens to the public at 11am, there is no reason to wait till lunch time to organize and re-arrange tables and tables settings. Sorry management lacks organization skills and a little bit of consideration towards the customers. We were ready to leave, but everything in the area was crowded, meanwhile at Morton's there were only 4 customers. Between the noise and the moving around of the tables, it was anything but a nice dinning atmosphere. I highly recommend to have this type of pre-customer organization done prior to have your doors open for the customers! Thanks"
