The NY strip was overdone, the steak (filet) and lobster were both a little mushy. However, the caesar salad is always delicious, one is enough for two. The sides are great. Sometimes I just get a salad, an app and sides and that usually works out best for me. The restaurant is comfortable, the service is great. Years ago there was a restaurant in Marina Del Rey called Gulivers, its not there any more. The cream corn was the best. I talked to the waiter and got the recipe, It would be great with your steaks. Steak is more under when requesting medium-rare so order medium if don't want red. Not served with any steak sauce/juice so can dry up a bit toward the end. Had a middle age female server that was very helpful and courteous for first time diners. General manager goes around room checking on patron needs. Can't complain about prices when already know reputation of the place. We both had the Chicago style bone-in rib-eye, which was delicious and perfectly done. We started with a salad, and ended with a shared creme brulee (i.e. one dessert). We had a glass (not a bottle) of wine each, and I had coffee . The bill (BEFORE tip), including taxes, was $214. Not exactly a cheap date...! The host always makes sure our requests are met.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMWe are regular at Morton's,We are regular at Morton's, and always had great food, but it feels like the quality of their "by the glass" wine list is getting cheaper and cheaper ... am I becoming a wine snob? Maybe a little, but I'd expect a better selection from an institution like this. We usually go for the lava cake for dessert, but our waitress couldn't stop praising the lemon souffle, which we finally accepted, but what a disappointment, I mean it tasted ok, but it was nothing else than a big bowl of meringue you would find on top of a lemon pie, we had a few bites and left it, what a waste of money and food. I still really like Morton's, but was not that excited about it this time around.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were at our second visitWe were at our second visit to Morton's Beverly Hills and once again, we were not dissapointed. The food was excellent, great atmosphere and the Manager even offered us a complimentary drink when he was made aware that we have been doing the rounds of Morton's . During the last year, we have visited approximately 7 Morton's and we rank Beverly Hills amongst our top three.
