Diner Reviews
  • "I think I recall that Dawn was our waitress's name. The hostess greeted us by name and wished my wife a Happy Birthday. Dawn took it from there and was equally attentive and quick with the birthday wishes. She was helpful with suggestions and pleasant when she served us. During dinner we had a complimentary picture taken...nice touch. At some point the manager came over to check on us. All in all it was an atmosphere that acknowledged our special occasion and provided nice personal touches to the service and our overall experience. That's why when I to it big at a nice steak hose, I choose Morton's."

  • "Food was excellent but service was not very good. We had two waiters assigned to our table but never really saw much of them. Meal took too long for a party of two."

  • "I have eaten at Mortons before and have always enjoyed myself, but the service at the Baltimore Mortons left a lot to be desired. For such a pricey restaurant, we expected more. The waiter told us that they had run out of Diet Coke, so we couldn't have refills. When the manager came around, he immediately refilled our drinks and took them off the bill, which we appreciated. The restaurant was quite noisy. The food was good--as always, so we enjoyed that part of the experience. This one night won't necessarily keep us from eating at another Mortons, and maybe things were just "off" on Saturday."

  • "The food was great, but the service was outstanding."

  • "Once again Morton's has managed to produce and excellent meal. The steaks are awesome. The service was flawless. Good location close to Inner Harbor and Downtown. Would suggest bringing your expense account but in any event, you have to treat yourself every now and then. Morton's is a treat."

  • "Valet parking made getting there easy. Service and food were outstanding. Steaks were cooked perfectly."

  • "What a night, you cannot have other plans to interfere with your dining experience, be prepared for a stay because the food and service are worth the wait. We were greeted at the front with a "Happy Anniversary" because of the online reservation request we chose, also a complementary picture with cover to take with us. You must ask for William as your waiter (I think short red hair and goatee), very nice young man that knew that menu. A must for that special occasions and small groups."

  • "The service that we received at this Morton's would have been terrible service for an Applebee's. This was our first time at Morton's, although we have been to many similar establishments. When we sat down it was 15 minutes before our waitress even came to our table and another 10 before we received our drinks. This was not due to the restaraunt being busy as it was a Tuesday night. Our waitress only stopped by the table every 20 to 30 minutes. Our food was good but my wife's steak was not cooked as ordered. We didn't have time to send it back as we had to make it to a show. Manager never came to our table. We were late to our show, didn't get a dessert that we paid for because it took so long."

  • "The filet I ordered was cooked perfectly, as it usually is The bearnaise ans au poivre sauces were superb. My husband had the Bone-In Ribeye which he thought was cooked perfectly as well. We ordered Lyonnaise potatoes, which were not as flavorful as on previous visits. The creamed spinach was wonderful. I ordered a Sazerac cocktail. The first cocktail was prepared correctly, but the second was prepared like a Manhattan (it tasted like bourbon, not rye, it was missing the bitters, the hint of absinthe, and the sugar cube, and instead it had an orange peel). The desserts were perfect."

  • "The restaurant was very accommodating when we changed our group size from 6 to 11 and then upon arrival from 11 to 9. Thank you for making me feel comfortable with adjusting to the changes in party size."

  • "We got the restaurant week course - The steak and sides were absolutely perfect. The cheesecake was a top 5 I have ever had. We also ordered scallops off the regular menu, which we found to be a bit on the expensive side. Overall, a higher price restaurant but it was well worth the visit."

  • "This high end steakhouse in the Inner Harbor has excellent food and a very nice ambiance. I have only been once, but the service was excellent because the staff struck the right balance between being professional and very friendly too. With cocktails, appetizers and steak dinners we spent just over $100 per person, which seems like a lot for one meal, but for a special occasion I would still recommend Morton's."

  • "The entire staff was wonderful. Friendly service from valet, coat check in, and entire waiting staff."

  • "the food and service were both absolutely top notch... BUT.. the main dining area had no partitions and you are seated right on top of the adjoining 4 tables. It felt like a fancy version of Red Lobster, minus the cheap specials. If you have a very large group and are looking upscale, this is the place for you! But if you're on a date... maybe you should try someplace more intimate."

  • "We went during Restaurant Week. The 3-course menu was incredible and included an entree choice of a 6-ounce filet for $30. It was more than a terrific value and we each ordered our steaks with different "doneness," and each was cooked perfectly. Highly recommend this."

  • "We went for Restaurant Week and it was delicious and a good value."

  • "I was expecting a lot more from the restaurant. For starters we didn't like the layout or where we were seated. The service was good but too slow. The food was ok, not to be negative, but it was ok. There was a cost up front for valet parking in addition to tipping the workers. We did provide a good tip but overall I prefer valet service that is free and you only need to tip the workers. I prefer this because we usually give a good tip and after all, the workers are the ones standing out in the cold or other not so great weather conditions. I am not sure why the restaurant should be paid for this service. Overall, glad we tried the restaurant as now we can say that we did. I would not rush and may not return."

  • "First time diner at Morton's Baltimore. Heard so much about it and knew we wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to check it out for ourselves. So glad we did. Beat Ruth Chris's hands down. More personable service, all chef prepared foods and desserts, great food choices, plus a side included. Spend $18 on two baked potatoes at Ruth Chris's. Just a great overall experience. Hope we can return."

  • "I made dinner reservations about a month in advance for Baltimore restaurant week. I then subsequently got engaged two days before our dinner plans, and our server at Morton's was a wonderful part of helping us celebrate. Our steaks were excellent, the wine list and decanting services were impeccable, and desserts were out of this world. I would highly recommend Morton's for a romantic grown-up date night."

  • "We were lucky to be in Baltimore during restaurant week and while we usually just order off the reg. menu, we were very impressed with the selection morton's offered during restaurant week. All the items were chosen from their reg. menu and were served in generous portions and all were cooked to perfection. Add to that the substantial savings and it made for a wonderful evening."

  • "Went for Restaurant Week promotion. Have been there 2 times in last 120 days prior to this visit. Place was very full versus previous times which added energy. 6 oz filet was small. Should have taken $10 bump up offer. Other than that, experience was great and at $30/head you can't beat it. Michelle our server was amazing as always."

  • "Service, ambience wonderful. Wait staff could not have beem more helpful. Appetizers and dessert made the meal. Try the tuna tower & key lime pie- excellent! The entree - my steak was overcooked, the stuffed shrimp - I think they used the crab to hide the stick of butter. The happy hour/at the bar prices are a great steal."

  • "Great start with a great house-made Sangria...best I've ever had! Requested water with lemon...never saw the lemon! Outstanding crab-stuffed shrimp! Very tasteful medium filet that had too much red oozing out! Requested broccoli cooked soft for one diner and the other "crunchy" but we couldn't tell the difference! I ordered a side of au gratin potatoes that wasn't delivered. The waiter apologized and returned with a potato ramekin half-way through dinner filled with lyonnaise potatoes which wasn't to my liking. I kept quiet because I was afraid the au gratin potatoes wouldn't come until dessert. The desserts were excellent."

  • "Ever since restaurant week last summer, this has become our favorite restaurant. Not all Morton's are the same. We had a very disappointing experience in DC earlier this year, but Baltimore is ALWAYS fantastic. The hosts and servers are warm & competent. The food is always exceptional, and the restaurant and restrooms are always sparkling clean. We eat out a lot and we've had many great experiences at restaurants, but often, after returning several times, the food or service slips. We've been to this location about five times since last summer, and every time has been memorable!"

  • "Morton's is a favorite, you can always count on great quality and great service. The steaks are buttery tender, the side portions are perfect for sharing, and the desserts are sublime. Service is friendly but professional. We will be back."

  • "My boyfriend is very sensitive to smoke and our original table was close to the grill where the food was prepared. He started having trouble breathing and we asked to move to another table, after our salads arrived. The staff immediately moved us to the back room where you couldn't detect the smoke and we were able to continue with our meal. I was impressed with the speediness of their response in changing our table."

  • "I booked this restaurant for my husband and I for our Valentine's Day dinner and I'm glad I did. The food was great, the service was excellent and we really enjoyed ourselves. I would definitely Recommend anyone interested in superb sevice & food to try Morton's. Also, the renovations they've done are a plus . It more spacious now."

  • "My husband and I dined at Morton's to celebrate Valentine's Day. We have been to Morton's many times throughout the years including th restaurants in Atlantic City ,NJ. and Chicago. We have never had a cut of beef as disapointing as the one we had on 2/15/14. We both ordered the bone in rib eye. The steak was cooked to order but was barely an inch thick, unevenly cut, and did not taste as though it was a prime cut of meat. I have had far better steaks at chain reaturants such as OutBack and Texas Road House."

  • "This is my husband's favorite restaurant, and I can see why. We dine out frequently (maybe 4 times per week on average). To be honest, we are very critical of restaurant service and quality of food. We have been to Morton's three times in the last month, and it has been consistently great. The service has always been excellent and so has the food! The dining room is rather small, but I like that. It is perhaps one reason why service is so good. The open kitchen is a nice feature as well. Despite the open kitchen and being open to the bar area, the noise level is still pretty low. Overall, we've had an excellent experience every time."

  • "Great date spot with excellent food. I'm knocking it a bit for the noise level. I think it was the night we went and the fact we went a little early. A lot of families were there. Try to order the aged Manhattan if you can. The service was great."
