  • "Celebrated a friend's birthday with lunch at Morton's. Food and service exceeded expectations."

  • "From the greeting from the host to the service, to the food, an overall good experience. My husband and I tried Morton's Grill for Houston Restaurant Weeks with our son, his wife, and their two teenage children and it was not a disappointment. We're pleased to help them help the Houston Food Bank and will go back."

  • "This was our second time at this mortons. The first time we had to adjust to a complete different atmosphere than the regular Mortons. Televisions and higher noise level. The food was very good and love the waterway location. Celebrated my daughters 25th birthday. Service was great."

  • "4 of us, 1 dinner served as ordered - two steaks were ordered medium and served well, one salmon ordered medium rare -served first well done, then remake was raw, then third one was medium to medium well. OK they comped my dinner but ruined our experience. So sad. For the price and with so many places to choose from we will not be returning"

  • "It was ok. The french onion soup had a funny taste and there was very little sauerkraut on the rueben, my steak was very good but the oscar topping was ok, I wouldn't get it again. The service was fair not great like what you would expect at a Morton's. The Margarite flatbread was good but the regular bread ok. Our waiter forgot the broccoli side dish so we didn't have a side. Our dessert was a coffee drink which was very good. All in all it was ok but I won't be back."

  • "Good service. Overpriced expense account destination."

  • "This concept is great. Much more fun with the menu and the interior!"

  • "We did the Houston Restaurant Week lunch. Fantastic! Will go back !"
    Dined on 8/21/2014
  • "Food was great, but not for the price. My husband and I ordered from the restaurant week menu so we spent less than normal and we still felt that, for the price, we wouldn't return very often for a steak and drinks we could get just as good at a cheaper venue. However, service was fantastic and the restaurant was quiet and had a dimly lit, intimate feel. (We went to dinner at 7:15 on a Wednesday night)"

  • "We normally eat at Perry's but decided to give Morton's a try for Houston Restaurant Week. The service, food, and atmosphere was great. They also are a part of Landry's Reward Club so that was a bonus."

  • "Food was great, however our dining experience this time was somewhat off. Service slow and had to ask for simple things like bread, another round of beverages and utensils. Noise level high, during meal; difficult to hear what each other was saying. A larger bar area for pre-dinner drinks would be a great improvement."

  • "First time dinning here. Loved it. Service was great. Steak was cooked perfect."

  • "This was our first visit to Morton's and we were all very pleased. Our server Maria was attentive and took care of our needs. We all chose our lunch from the Restaurant Weeks menu and all were very happy. The food was beautifully presented and well seasoned. We all brought food home with us to enjoy later."

  • "As always the food was amazing. Highly recommend the Texas Redfish, the filet mignon with blue cheese butter and the Smokey Joe's mac n' cheese."
    Dined on 8/10/2014
  • "Had the Houston Restaurant Week menu and it was delicious. Only issue was that we had food leftover to go and had trouble getting it packaged for food to go! But the food is so good, having leftovers should not happen very often."

  • "My wife, another couple, and myself went as part of restaurant weeks. We all ordered drinks, and additional appetizers and a topping for our steak. In the reservation I noted that it was my wife's birthday. Despite us reminding the staff twice, no mention was made. The restaurant was loud, which I kind of expected. The service was poor; inattentive, inefficient, and seemingly inexperienced. Simple things like removing wine glasses for people not drinking wine, removing the empty cocktail glasses when bring out another, and bringing out new silverware when there is none for the next course. Simple things you expect from a higher end restaurant, but we received service more like Chili's."

  • "Great place to celebrate an anniversary and birthday. Free dessert."

  • "The food was good, but not fantastic. The service was very good. Drinks from the bar were very tasty, but was disappointed with small bar area. Not really a place to gather with friends at the bar. Pretty noisy atmosphere, and tables are pretty close together. Overall it was a nice experience, but again, nothing outstanding or noteworthy."

  • "The manager and my waiter offered fantastic service. The manger greeted us when we arrived, learned that it was my dad's birthday and ensured that he had a memorable evening. My steak was good, the au gratin potatoes were fantastic and the peanut butter dish was delicious."

  • "the partial food that I ate was excellent. Had the worst waiter (David)in my life. TAco bell can offer better service. Manager noticed that I was not being help and came to issue matter. I could see he was doing an excellent job but my waiter was the worst. Service took for ever that we had to ask to pack our lunch since I had to go back to work and he didn't pack the french fries and when I told him he told me he would get me some. When I got home there were a few fries that looked that were somebodys left over. I thru away the whole lunch because I was afraid he did something bad"

  • "Rename it from Morton's Grill to Morton's Can't. Normally a special menu with Happy Anniversary (it was our's ) is given to you. Not this time. Amaretto freeze drink made with ice, not ice cream: Fail. Can't make Grand Marnier souffle like the Galleria Morton's. Manager came by to apologize for the poor drink (the freeze) failed to introduce himself. Bread served, but no knife to cut it with."

  • "We brought our recent college graduate to Morton's Grill to celebrate his getting the perfect job. The "special" window table had a major traffic route behind us along with a large party with small children, creating a noisy, distracting meal. An interior quiet table is a better choice. The Filet's are a bit crisp on the outside and cooked to your perfection on the inside. There are a great assortment of sides to be had. The Mac & Cheese was recommended by the waiter, but the Twice Baked Potatoes Augratin caught my husbands attention. He was disappointed and said there was nothing resembling "twice baked" about them. For the price & quality of food, we felt the ambience did not match."

  • "Having only been here once, I cast a rather small net, but the food and the service were outstanding. I went to celebrate my birthday and the restaurant acknowledged the occasion upon our arrival, took a commemorative photo that several staff members signed, and provided a complimentary dessert. The ambiance was casual, yet classy. I will definitely go back."

  • "I know it's restaurant week but 1.5 hours from ordering to getting our check is just too slow. We ordered of the fixed menu and the food was Good but nothing to rave about."

  • "We hadn't been to Morton's in a year or so and decided to take advantage of Houston Restaurant Weeks. When the waiter came, we asked for the Restaurant Weeks menu and that's when the smile left. I ordered wine and my wife ordered cocktail .. both were excellent. M I ordered off of the main menu. We both got steaks with a salad appetizer. The salads were ok but the steaks were far below what I would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. I ordered a filet steak and is was less than 1" thick. It looked more like a sirloin I would get at Ponderosa or Denny's. It was cooked ok but we can get a much better steak at Texas Roadhouse. Sorry Morton's, you're off my list. If I want high-end steak, I'll drive to Papa Brothers Steak House."

  • "My husband and I visited Morton's Grille for the first time during Houston Restaurant Weeks. Although our choices were limited due to HRW, the food was excellent. The Chili my husband ordered for an appetizer was exceptional. The filet was perfectly cooked and the Horseradish Crusted Salmon was delicious. The desserts were just okay. And the SERVICE! Thomas was knowledgeable, attentive and fun! Ask for him."

  • "Strike 1: arrived 20 minutes early for 8:00 reservation. Told we had to wait til 8, despite seeing plenty of empty tables. Finally sat at 8; several of the same empty tables still. Strike 2: broken plate glass all over floor around table, no one ever tried to clean it up. Server in attention. Empty tea glass for long periods, we had to flag him down. Strike 3: the food is just not good. Onions on the bread, flavorless cornbread served with chili, flavorless filet, flavorless porkchop, bitter tasting Cajun rice, blah potatoes. The only saving grace was dessert. Don't waste your time or money."

  • "I was disappointed. I had heard good things, but felt like I was at an upscale chain restaurant. The hostess was detached and impolite. The steak was dry, just not what I expected. I don't think I'll be back."

  • "We've been there a few times and have no complaints. It is affordable & delicious! Staff is always very helpful & friendly. You could take kids there if it was an off time but wouldn't suggest it at peak times (would be distracting to other diners)."

  • "Food was very tasty and well prepared. Service was OK on the front side but could not get waiter to pay the tab when ready to leave."

  • "We decided to spend our 33rd anniversary at Mortons, and we were very happy with the salad and meal. The steak was devine!. We wish they would have made a bigger deal over it being our anniversary though! We will be back for certain."

  • "The food is wonderful, but the service is even better! Highly recommended."

  • "This was our first time to Morton's Grille. I noted that it was our anniversary on our reservations, and they were ready for us. The menus on our table had "Happy Anniversary" with the date, and they gave us a card with the picture they took inside. The service and the food was wonderful. Our filets were cooked perfectly and the sides were delicious. Our dessert, White Chocolate Pecan Bread Pudding, was complimentary for our special occasion It was fabulous! I can certainly recommend Morton's for your special occasion, and we will definitely be dining with them again."

  • "Our Fourth of July dinner had excellent service and good food. My steak was slightly overcooked but everything else was fine. The salmon and chopped salad were our favorites. Our biggest concern was the noise level. Conversations from nearby tables at Morton's were so loud I could not hear my waiter explain the menu, and he was only three feet from me. The sound problem was so annoying I will probably choose a different restaurant in the future."
