Eric, the chef, came out and greeted our table. Spent some time chatting with us. He was very cool. Even shared with us his bacon gelato. There were many thing that I would have ordered but I settled on a burger, since I heard that they were very good from others who have dined at the Morris Tap & grill. I was not disappointed. Great roll and excellent fries. I was only able to eat half of it and the half that I brought home was just as good as it was in the restaurant when it was re-heated the next day. For Memorial Day weekend, the place was packed. However, we had a booth, so it wasn't too bad in our corner. Our waiter started us off with these tasty paprika chips with an awesome dip. I had gotten an Angry Orchard Elderflower ale which was very good, and Zach had gotten a beer. For our main courses, I had ordered a salmon with a ginger glaze and Zach ordered the Pad Thai without the bacon. Whereas Zach thought his food was okay, I thought the salmon was very good along with the fennel rice and assorted vegetables that it came with. Then for dessert, Orest had gotten sorbet, and Zach and I split a fruit cup that was mixed with pound cake and cream.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic Mother's Day BrunchThis was the first time I had ventured to MTG for brunch for Mother's Day. I was blown away! The brunch was huge and the quality of the food was outstanding. Chef Eric greeted guests which was really a nice touch and our waitress was so pleasant. We will be returning there for dinner soon and I highly recommend this wonderful place to anyone who appreciates good food. A very helpful waitstaff - offered info, and answered questions about the menu. Good food - we had a buffalo chicken flatbread to start, which was tasty and just the right portion. I had the fish tacos which were delicious, and my wife had the pad thai noodles with chicken which was also delicious. The pad thai was a large helping, so she took some home with her. The OpenTable reservation helped immensely as they were telling people there was a 45 minute wait when we showed up - we breezed right to our seat upon arrival! The place was packed the entire time we were there, and finding a parking spot was not happening (had to valet). But you can see why this place is crowded.
