A word from Moroco Chocolat
Our full service licensed restaurant, inspired by European salons, beckons to be enjoyed for those wishing to be transported to a Parisian hideaway. The black floors give the place a rock'n'roll feel while the sparkling chandeliers mimic modern glam. The restaurant has a plethora of savory items designed to satiate everyone's palate, all day long. Champagne is the perfect drink to compliment the savory items, though the sipping chocolate is just as decadent.

Diner Reviews
  • "It really was a beautiful morning! A perfect way to begin my Sunday actually after a weekend of spring cleaning. The music was very fitting for the scene too. Our waitress was kind enough to even confirm a song for me that was playing by The National. My boyfriend and I shared the chicken and waffles dish with a side of potatoes, as well as a cold and hot cup of dark chocolate. It was delicious and we enjoyed every bite. Since, I have recommended that my friend book her bachelorette party there, as I noticed the DJ booth and that MoRoco Chocolate serves dinner. We'll have to wait and see I guess:-) Have a great day! Victoria and Sagar"

  • "Myself and my friends celebrated with a brunch at MoRoCo which was delicious. Several of them had not been before and raved about the decor, food, and drinks. Other than the closeness of the neighboring tables, there are no complaints."

  • "Entre, main course, delicious. Pouring chocolate with whipping cream and truffle lovely. However not to be compared to chocolate in Paris. Valrohna is not best chocolate in the world. We've tried it before. Try another chocolate to your pouring chocolate. The chocolate ball was a treat the first time. Perfect little experience. This time a different recipe was used. Too sweet. passion fruit inside?, stick to your original. The customer should pour. This time our waitress poured. We did not have time for a picture or enjoy the experience ourselves. So in general wonderful venue if your wanting a different atmosphere say from the Windsor Arms or King Eddy. I will return. Experience , food this week 7/10."

  • "My friend and I and our four children had lunch last Friday at 1pm. The service was very slow and they were not busy at all. It was really over priced. The desserts were very good though."

  • "Very neat rococo decor, but a bit expensive for what you get. Very pleasant and attentive wait staff."

  • "Red velvet pancakes were amazing, as was the special of the day, the savoury mac-and-cheese grilled cheese sandwiches. Would definitely return."

  • "So disappointing -- have been here before and thought it was good. For the prices they charge, which I am happy to pay, I expect good service. 20 minutes went by before being offered a beverage, waitress disappeared once food arrived never to ask if we needed anything and dirty dishes sat on our table for ages. They were not even cleared by the time we begged and paid for the bill. There were only a few other tables occupied, so it should not have been the case. Very unimpressed and will not make an effort to go back."

  • "Came here for an anniversary dinner and was thoroughly impressed. The appetizers and main courses were great but it was the desserts that were exceptional! Service was excellent and the ambiance of the restaurant was very romantic. Only complaint would be that it was hard to find from the street, hidden behind other buildings."

  • "We went there for lunch and my 3 1/2 year old had the mad hatters tea. Too much food for a little girl but good for adults to nibble at. Order ahead so don't wait too long. Mac and cheese delicious."

  • "My friend had been to this restaurant before and talked about how nice it was and about the food and I was not disappointed. Went out for a lunch with some friends and we were all really pleased with our lunch choices and we had a delicious chocolate fondue for dessert! The service was great too! Our waitress answered our questions, helped with our selections and was attentive to us throughout our lunch. The decor of the restaurant too was a mix of cute and elegant, which enhanced our visit. Overall a great experience and one I would want to repeat!"

  • "We went to MoRoCO Chocolate as we had friends visiting from out of town. We went with our daughters. One is 5 and one is 12. I had read mixed reviews and was a bit unsure. However we had a great experience. I had booked through Open Table but did not realize you cannot book the afternoon tea this way. They were also closed for the holidays right before our visit. The morning of our reservation they were able to accommodate. They made the 5 year old feel special and my 12 year old felt grown up. We had afternoon teas and a 'Mad Hatter ' tea. The food was good and overall the experience felt like we were really treating ourselves to something fun. I will definitely go back."

  • "This was a great High Tea...The selection of teas is great and especially the choclate selection. Most places don't have an option of a main course with High Tea..this does and delicious. truffle Mac and cheese was outstanding and quiche good too."

  • "Out party called to reserve a table but was not told that we had to order from the prix fix menu. The afternoon tea cost $50 per person and $60 for high tea. The food was average. The bread on the sandwiches were soggy and our tea cups were stained with tea. They even added an 18% gratuity to our bill. We would've had a better experience if the restaurant did a better job in communicating."

  • "We were a group of 4 girls, we went there for Brunch. Service was poor, always have to ask somebody to get our waitress, small portions, our pancakes arrived cold, we had to send them back, ordered a side of fries, it was literally 6 potatoes pieces’ had to wait another 10 min to get new cutlery, as my waitress had taken them with the pancakes plates and by then the potatoes was cold as well. Same for my girlfriend, she had a side of bacon, but no cutlery either. We ordered a chocolate fondue to end on a good note, not at all, the chocolate was cold... I will not recommend this place, it does not worth the price you pay for the service and the food you are getting. The only good thing is the decor, I loved it, very charming and cosy."

  • "I had the eggs benedict for brunch which was nothing special, but next time I would order one if their more decadent options such as the chicken and mushroom crepes. Waitress was pleasant, the person who greeted us was not. Usually, the service is much like you are wasting their time. I once asked for a box as I was travelling an hour and a half and the 4 macarons were for a gift but the refused, even after I explained why I needed a box, as I wasn't purchasing the amount of macarons required for a box, which was 6. The macarons are the best I've ever had and so was the hot chocolate. Prettiest restaurant I've ever been to. I look forward to trying the s'mores or fondue."

  • "Loved the ambience, service and music on a Saturday night at MoRoCo. We were seated at a table with a love seat which was romantic but the seats were so low that when it came time to eat, the table was at chest level for me. Our server Mary was pleasant and attentive. She did her very best to make things right when our food was served either burnt or cold. We really appreciated her. Food was inconsistent and overpriced for the quality. Deejay was playing great music and the space was fun and energetic. Not the amazing dining experience I was hoping for but fun nonetheless. I might come back for a macaroon and a hot chocolate."

  • "MoRoCo's décor has an exotic appeal with flowing curtains and deep colours. If you enjoy feeling as though you're eating in your living room on puffy sofas near coffee tables, you'll like this style."

  • "Chocolate lovers of the sophisticated kind, this is the place for you! Not only can you enjoy savory food, but mostly the experience of excellent quality chocolate. From thick, rich sipping chocolate that is not only for dessert (I enjoyed mine before my dinner) to melt in your mouth brownies or chocolate fondue with three kinds of chocolate, you will not be disappointed. The ambiance is royally elegant with a touch of sparkle that makes any woman feel special yet no man would be uncomfortable for it has a masculine tone with the black, rich purple and shades of gray throughout the restaurant. It's a perfect place for a special time with friends and loved ones. The pricing is expensive, but the experience is wonderful."

  • "I had a friend visiting from out of town and decided to take her to Moroco, as it was a Friday I thought we would definitely need a reservation in Yorkville. We arrived quite early around 11.50am, there was no one else in the restaurant at that time. Our waiter came over and was very attentive. We were busy chatting with and catching up and waited a while to order. We had the quiche of the day and a salad, it was a nice size portion and very tasty. It never really go very busy but it was perfect for us. We finished our lunch with a tea and macaroon very nice!"
