It was a beautiful day (this is SoCal after all), so we sat outside on the shady patio. There are a few tables in the sun, but most of the patio is in dappled shade from a gigantic tree in the middle. I had the chopped salad, which was fully loaded with Italian meats (capicola, salami, prosciutto) and vegetables (peppers, chickpeas, sunchokes) and a light dressing. The salad was the *perfect* size. And my meyer lemonade with rosemary a perfect refreshment. My sister had the dagwood sandwich with Moreton's homemade chips--super delicious...but also a bit large, so she took half the sandwich home!
