Diner Reviews
  • "This meal was disappointing on every level. The bread for the table tasted and smelled like Pillsbury biscuits. Where is the crusty French baguette? We ordered the Fondue as an appetizer and the heat source kept going out. In addition, this too was served with the soft bread. When we questioned why it was only with bread we were told that we could have had it with vegetables for an additional cost, but they neglected to tell us we had this option and it was not listed on the menu. Both the salmon and the mussels were also disappointing. Never again!"

  • "Usually one of my favorite places in Las Vegas, this last time at a dinner for a client, the restaurant underdelivered: Poor service with food that came out in a range of temperatures....even the water changed brands half-way through the night."

  • "Classy place with a good reception / bar area. Menue with many options but overall the steak was awesome. Great feedback by busineas partner on the ahort ribs."

  • "Four of us dined, we are all picky. Everyone was happy with the food. Two friends ordered the beet and goat cheese salad, very tasty with friend goat cheese ball, that was a nice touch and different. I shared burrata salad, loves that it came with arugula, very tasty dressing too. Scallops, short ribs were very good, only complaint was the salmon , my friend found it dry and it was overloaded on the plate with lentils. It was not appealing, would have been better with veggies. Attentive service, wine a bit expensive 8oz glass of wine $25. But defintely would return, steaks looked good as they passed by on a cart."

  • "This was a delicious special occasion out. The steaks and my salad were perfect and the service outstanding. However, the French onion soup was mediocre at best. Be sure to make a reservation if you don't want to eat at the bar."

  • "Nice terrasse on the strip, had the fish should have had the steak. Americans love to drown things in butter. Oysters (crystal point) were very good. Soufflé was average. Good wine selection."

  • "Food at Morels was great and I've eaten here many times but the noise level this time around was so loud we could hardly talk."

  • "Great service & food - went with a large group and had fast service. Our server was fantastic and energetic!"

  • "We had an absolutely wonderful dinner at Morel's. The Hook's cheese platter was delicious, and our server was extremely knowledgeable about wine and cheese pairings too. We both got the Halibut and it was perfect. Highly recommend."

  • "We were not particularly impressed with this as a "steakhouse" or a "bistro." The food was mediocre and overpriced, and the staff seemed to be pretending to be more exclusive than the restaurant indicated. Service was spotty as the wait staff scurried about to set up a last-minute event, and the ambience was disturbed by the constant moving of tables and carts to set up. We waited everal times for our waiter as he kept being drawn into staff consultations about the event. I would have expected a Las Vegas restaurant to be able to handle these sorts of issues without interrupting service to its other patrons."

  • "This was our first time eating at Morels and we were trying them during Restaurant Week. We could not be more impressed by the food, service or atmosphere. The service was attentive without being hovering. We all had steak and it was tender and delicious."

  • "This restaurant was a great find. The food is excellent and the service is outstanding. Chuck Scimeca and his staff run a first rate operation."

  • "We had a party of 4 and it took an hour and 40 minutes for dinner to make it to our table having only ordered 1 drink each and a salad. Steaks were not cooked as ordered and our side of asparagus for the table had a grand total of 6 spears...over $1/spear. For the price paid, there are many other restaurants in the Palazzo / Venetian that provide a far better dining experience for a better value."

  • "Went to Morels on a Tuesday night, 7:30, four of us. Service was very slow and inattentive - indifferent really. Steaks were mediocre and served warm. When the waiter put the plates down in front of us he said, "be careful the plate is really hot." Oddly, the plates - all of them - were not hot, not even warm. Bizarre warning from the waiter. Green beans for sharing were barely large enough to do so, all the food was lukewarm. Took almost 90 minutes for a one-course meal. Two drinks each, no deserts, salads, or appetizers, bill was $327 before tax. Would not return."

  • "This was a real downer for the prices. Food was mediocre at best. Fries came out soggy and greasy and when sent back, the waiter made jokes about us wanting them like Wendy's. The "dauphinois" potatoes are awful. When I sent those back, the waiter assured us he and the chef tasted them and that's how they should be - apparently flavorless and so undercooked you couldn't cut through them with a fork. I suspect the server didn't dare to disagree with the chef, or it's just an extension of the attitude he showed with the fries - an attitude that shouldn't be anywhere near a server at such a (supposedly) quality restaurant. Too many better places in Las Vegas for good steaks. Skip this one."

  • "Our food was mediocre at best. The tuna tartare was a mash of no flavor and our steaks were flavorless as well. Not even a hint of salt. Very disappointed."

  • "This was the worst restaurant we've dined at in a long time. The service was slow. We had our first course done before we received our beverages from the bar. The had small water glasses and filled them with luke warm water that you could get out of a bathroom faucet. The bartender was terrible at making mixed drinks - my mojito tasted like sugar water. We ordered the mac and cheese - of which you can have better out of a box. The noodles were hard and the cheese watery. My $40 halibut looked like it was pan fried with shake-n-bake. The restaurant claims to be fine dining yet the music they were playing was fit for a nightclub. The experience was awful and we couldn't wait to get out of the restaurant! Total waste of $150! I"

  • "My fiance and I first dined at Morel's in July 2013 and had a fantastic experience. We even declared it 'our place' on the strip. So when we went back for Valentine's Day 2014, we had high expectations. Unfortunately, our expectations were not met during this visit. In summary, our food took approximately an hour to receive, and when it arrived, it was overcooked. We overheard our server mention that a cook had been fired just before the Valentine's Day rush. When I'm in a fine dining establishment, I don't expect to overhear servers discussing such "dirty laundry." We will probably go back and give Morel's another shot on a less busy evening, but we were disappointed this time around."

  • "We had a wonderful time dining at Morels for Valentine's day dinner. We have eaten there a few other times and I knew the menu was going to be special. We had tickets for the McGraw/Hill concert and we were concerned that we wouldn't be able to enjoy the dinner as we'd be rushed for time. WRONG! We had plenty of time and your service, as usual, was so wonderful and efficient!"

  • "Reliable excellent food, but what makes it stand out for me is the amazing cheese selection -- either with charcuterie or to round out the end of a meal if you're French -- and a wine list that has some quite affordable gems. It is worthwhile to get to know the sommelier, as he knows his stuff. Ceasar salad made tableside was delicious (don't be afraid to ask for more garlic). One note about the main: a steak house should know how to cook a rare steak. Mine came out thoroughly medium, but was so juicy and tender I didn't bother sending it back. Another night I might have held them to their promise to cook it as requested."

  • "Had dinner there with my husband & daughter. We were going to a show...Unfortunately, as nice as the Waitress was; we could never find her! The service was horrible! The busser seemed to be working much harder than her & we barely saw her on the floor. Never could see if she was servicing other tables. They had a dinner of 21 adults and 19 children in the corner, which was pretty noisy and loud. Not something I would expect from this type of restaurant. Sort of a disappointment to see so many waithelp standing around, too. Somehow it was distracting when we were eating? Such a nice hotel and such a great location. But with the overpriced food and horrible service, I did show it in our tip when the bill came. Not good..."

  • "Had a reservation for six people at 8. Waited a hour. Tried to put us all at a table for four. Finally the floor manager Kevin came to the rescue and put two tables together. Even when he asked GM, the guy said "if you must". Awful awful customer service. The wait staff once we got seated were amazing and sommelier chose a great bottle for us. Steak was good For a $300+ dinner, I'd pass. Went to Olives the following evening. Same price range, but with smiles when we checked in."

  • "Had reservation Valentine's Day. Tables to close together, service staff was always leaning into our table, Service staff overall was not friendly, like they did not want to be there. Steak was late & over cooked, Wouild NOT go there again, On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give our experience a 4, not what I wanted to see after spending 300 dollars on dinner for 2."

  • "I'm pretty sure this would be a good place to go on any night but valentines. We were seated 45 min late and waited another hour+ for our meal. The food and wine were good, and our waiter Tried hard, but our salads n main courses were not well coordinated. Short staffed and overbooked is never a good combo. Try them on a normal night:)"

  • "Food was fair. Better steaks at Mastros, Morton's, or even Flemmings. Was seated in a terrible location against a walkway right in front of the cheese bar. Food took forever and wasn't great."

  • "Atmosphere and menu were good. The service was not as professional as the upscale prices would lead you to expect. And, while my filet mignon was perfectly cooked and tender, it was barely warm when served. Even the little ball of butter on top of it had a hard time melting. The presentation left a lot to be desired -- just the piece of meat with the butter ball on top on a white dinner plate with no garnish at all. My husbands short rib was good and it was served hot. Also, the asparagus was perfectly cooked and served in a nice lemon sauce. The berry crumble for dessert was very good, too. We would not go back there when in Vegas again as there are many upscale restaurants there that live up to expectations."

  • "The food at Morel's was delicious and the desserts to die for, but our server was scarcely around. The restaurant didn't appear to be overly packed - I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he was new?!? Would I go back again? Absolutely!"

  • "Food is good, service is great but it's overpriced. Most strip restaurants are overpriced but this one had me do a double take. The price listed on the open table post is too low. I think there are 1 or two entrees for under $50. A filet mignon was $52 and that was the least expensive steak on the menu."

  • "We had a wonderful dining experience with kids and all at Morels in Las Vegas. We were a large group of 17, which included four children ages 2 to 8. The service was wonderful. Between our head waiter and her supporting wait staff we were well attended to during our dining experience. They knew the menu inside and out and if they were unsure of something they quickly got us an answer. The food was delicious and the portions were adequate. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have two of the menu items I wanted to order but they gave me suggestions for similar dishes. The restaurant was quiet with just enough talking going on so you didn't feel as though you had to whisper."
