  • "This is the best steak place in Boston, period! Amazing food and great service."

  • "Mooo, has some of the best service in b0ston. The food was exellent and the servers were great"

  • "Mooo... was able to accommodate the request I put on OpenTable to an extent. They gave us a quiet corner table, but definitely not the nicest one that was obviously available at the time. The waiter that served us was a little weird with his demeanor. Very strict on ID when we tried to order pairing wine; He wouldn't accept any form out out-of-state ID (I only had an ID from my country and did not have my passport on me). Rack of lamb and beef wellington were delicious! Hostesses were flexible, very welcoming, and checked in multiple times throughout to make sure we are enjoying the evening. I might go back for brunch, but there are other restaurants that are on par in terms of food and have better waiting staff."

  • "I was disappointed with my steak lunch. It's a steak place and my steak was not great."

  • "Took my team there for lunch to celebrate a landmark event. Food was great and service was outstanding. The meal was a little slow so plan on spending some time there. if you go for lunch. We were there an hour and a half and we just began a dessert service. Had to get it to go to get back to the office."

  • "We had brunch at Mooo on April 6. Everything we had was delicious. My wife had the grapefruit and arugula salad and the egg white and spinach omelette, which filled the plate and she couldn't finish. I has the the seasonal berries with honey infused mascarpone and the eggs benedict and home fries. I love eggs benedict and these were the best I have ever had. I wouldn't hesitate going back for brunch there in the future."

  • "You place your order from a menu, as opposed to a buffet style brunch.Food was good but not outstanding. The homemade Sausage & Beef Hash were excellent as was the Belgium Waffle. Sides were good, but not excellent. Service started out very spotty & slow. We think someone complained to the Maitre D, as he took over some of the tasks. No, they were not that crowded. Service picked up rapidly & was fine after that. We feel the server was spoken to & he kicked into high gear. We feel the prices are a little high for the quality, but it was trying out. Personally, we love the brunch at the Taj on the roof top. About twice the price, but much more variety & you can eat as much as you want.(for all you power eaters out there!)"

  • "This is the 3rd time we have been there for a special occasion and I always ask for a corner table and am always accomodated. I can't say enough about the restaurant from the time you walk in until the time you walk out. The food is outstanding as is the service. I think the prices are comparable to other high end restaurants in the area so this did not deter us from a wonderful evening. We will be back....................."

  • "Very underwhelming. For the prices they charge, which I do not mind paying, if experience is worth the price, they need to start over. Waiters are sub par, atmosphere just ok, and food was good. but, overpriced for serving size. They survive on captive audience from hotel. I will never return, I can spend the same amount of money and get quality elsewhere in the city."

  • "Went to celebrate a special occasion and everything was outstanding."

  • "Obviously this is an expense account restaurant. The food was perfectly fine, just not all that interesting. Kind of a throwback to the 60's business dinners - predictable food just not very creative. The steak was excellent, the pasta difficult to untangle, no interesting vegetarian options. Just not out kind of place."

  • "The soup was great on the Restaurant Week. The Main courses were okay...as the steak was okay even though it was cooked medium rare. Kind of chewy... Last year's restaurant week was better, a LOT better! I think it is the chef...who was the chef last year that cooked for Restaurant Week...he/she is awesome!"

  • "Managers and hostess were very friendly! Bartender was great until he found out I was waiting for a table. I would have gotten a second glass of wine if he had asked. Service was great! Food was beyond good! I can't wait to go back!"

  • "My boyfriend and I came to Mooo with a friend after dreaming of going for over 2 years! The prix fixe menu did not disappoint. I started with the salad followed by the 10oz steak, and then the delicious Chocolate Opera Cake. Clearly the opera cake made an impression since its the only thing I remembered the exact name of. Highly recommended and I would definitely go again!"

  • "As a Kansas resident and a good judge of grill meats, I was very disappointed as to what passes for prime meat at Mooo. I have been twice now and both times my "dry aged prime ribeye" was mostly fat and gristle and not tender at all. It was medium when I ordered medium rare and had to be salt and peppered at the table because apparently nobody got around to it in the kitchen. Apparently $60 for a steak doesn't get you the bare minimum at Mooo. Long story short, been burned twice, not going back."

  • "The restaurant week lunch at Mooo was excellent. There were good choices and all of the courses were delicious. The service was also great. i would recommend this place for lunch!"

  • "Excellent steak, great prices, perfect service. One of my all time favorite places to eat."

  • "I've been there during the Boston "Dine out" weeks. They provide the special lunch menu, three course menu with $25, at that time. Although the price is economic, but the quality of the food is still perfect. The steak is perfect!!"

  • "Very much enjoyed our time at Mooo. The Parker House Rolls were perfect. The steaks and lamb were delicious and cooked to perfection. The sides were also very good. The desserts were yummy, but the various price points didn't match the size or quality for some of the desserts. Our server was anxious, but informative and knowledgeable. The busser did an amazing job making sure our water glasses were full, table was crumb free, bread refilled, napkins folded, and dirty dishes were removed. I'm thrilled for this dining experience."

  • "My wife and I made a reservation after a friend said we should try Mooo. I was impressed from the moment we entered the door. The live Sunday morning music was light and a nice touch. The food was amazing. First, the Kobe dumplings are to die for and you should try them. I wanted to drink the aus jus from the bowl it was so good. The steak I had was excellent and cooked the way I asked. The food is amazing. I cannot wait to go again."

  • "This is a top notch steak house. Desset and side very well prepared. You cant go wrong"
    Dined on 3/22/2014
  • "Mooo has a $25 three course lunch that is very good. The mushroom soup was to die for, the steak with mushrooms was very good and the opera cake was good. The service although very pleasant was slow. You should allow an hour and a half. If in a rush the hamburger for $16 appeared to be excellent...a large portion cooked to perfection served with enough fries for two."

  • "First time at Mooo with 2 friends. Waited almost an hour for our table to be ready (reservations) die to a slow table in front of us. Everyone was really nice, apologetic and accommodating. Even bought us a round of drinks. We were in no rush so enjoyed our time at the bar. Once seated all was great. Suspect this is an isolated event and would defiantly go back."

  • "I was delighted to see Mooo was a part of Boston's Restaurant Week/Dine Out Boston for a $25 lunch pre fix menu. I had the mushroom bisque which was great - very creamy and smooth. For my main course I had the grilled New York sirloin 10 oz steak. I had it cooked medium rare, and it was just delightful. It came with creamy mashed potatoes which was also delicious as well. I wasn't too much of a fan of the mushrooms it came with as it seemed still very rubbery and not soft like I normally have. But the dish was still great. For dessert, I had the panna cotta which was sweet in and taste, yet smooth and rich. It was delicious. I also tried my friend's chocolate opera cake which was also very filling and rich. The restaurant offers free wi fi!"

  • "We went for the lunch fixed menu on restaurant week or Dine out Boston, and it was perfect. I had a delicious mushroom bisque, a perfect grilled huge tenderloin and a creamy panna cotta for dessert, for just $25 all. Of course drinks are not included. I would recommend Moo to a friend."

  • "Even for Restaurant Week customers the service was superb. We were treated as though we were VIPs. The food was exquisite."

  • "I visited mooo in restaurant week. No steak Tartar as appetizer this year. Foos choice; app- Bibb lettuce salad, main -Steak was good (compared to what I paid). Dissent -panna cotta Service: hostess @front was very welcoming, waiter was just okay. I often had to bother busser."

  • "I had high hopes for Moo..having walked by it many many times. Though the food was certainly good, it was nothing remarkable and for that reason I would say that I wouldn't necessarily recommend it.."

  • "I was able to take advantage of Dine Out week and went for lunch yesterday. Amazing experience. The service was perfect at all levels, from the friendliness of the host staff at beginning, through all of the wait staff. They were friendly, wait staff was attentive and sharp-eyed. Staff consistently check to make sure everything is to your liking. I'm always impressed by little touches, such as a knife that was resting in its own holder... Ambiance was soothing and quiet. Happily, I did not hear anyone yakking on a cell phone. The food was all delicious. Based on this experience, I cannot wait to return. I'm always on the lookout for new restaurants and Dine Out Week allows me this opportunity. Moo is a keeper!"

  • "My guy is not the most expressive person. Particularly when it comes to food....but from the calamari, to the rolls, to the skins to the prime ny strip he had....he could not say enough about how great the food was. Everything was absolutely delicious and the portions were completely satisfying. The decor was warm and romantic, Every member of the staff we came in contact with was courteous, friendly and helpful. The ONLY negative I can possibly say (aside from the price...but its totally worth it for a romantic treat every now and then) is that it was rather noisy. Oh....and while my guy was completely grateful I planned this dinner for us, hes a little sad that now every other steak is ruined for him. lol"

  • "I came here for lunch during Restaurant Week and everything tasted really good. It was one of the better steaks I have ever eaten in Boston. I definitely recommend coming here. The only negative thing I could say is that they don't have Restaurant Week for dinner which I wish that they did because I bet it would be just as fantastic as lunch was."

  • "Brunch was very good, but not as overly impressive has I expected. The omelets were large, but not overly flavorful. I would probably just stop at a cafe for a pastry the next time I am in the city instead. The service was exception however! Everyone who worked there was extremely nice and attentive."
    Dined on 3/15/2014
  • "My girlfriend and I went to Moo for the first time for my birthday. I love steakhouses, but many of them are very masculine and lack any romantic atmosphere. Moo was the perfect combination of both. The food was wonderful, but the atmosphere was even better. The service was fantastic, too. Our server, Colleen, and everyone else that helped us was really warm, and we felt very welcome there. We had an amazing night."

  • "My husband appreciates a beautiful steak, especially on the grill, but this place was gourmet, beautiful steaks with amazing sauces that we couldn't reproduce at home. We had a wonderful splurge evening out there. Excellent, innovative cocktails (including a "cocktail of the moment") and a massive (albeit pricey) wine menu."

  • "I took my girlfriend here for our anniversary and we had a great time. The staff was very friendly and knowledgable and helpfully answered all our questions. Service was excellent and the courses were beautiful and delicious. I'd highly recommend to anyone looking for a first class dining experience."

  • "Nice atmosphere. Good service. Overall the food was good but the beef Wellington was excellent."

  • "Mooo shares a building with the XV Beacon Hotel, and it shows. The dining room is spacious and beautifully decorated with low hanging chandeliers and high backed chairs, there are some hardcore luxury hotel vibes going on. I came here for breakfast with my mom and sister who were in town visiting. I guess it was alright for the occasion, but between the high prices and good yet unremarkable food I'd probably try to find a different spot for a nice breakfast downtown. So if you've got deep pockets and someone to impress then take them here for a quiet and classy morning meal."

  • "We had an amazing meal and amazing service. The beef was so tender we could cut it with a fork and the onion rings were over the top! We will definitely go again."
