MoonshadowsFavorite Sunny Day spot in MalibuI love Moonshadows. I can sit all day in the outdoor booths drinking wine and eating their barbecued octopus. I did not like octopus until I ate it there. On a sunny day there can be a wait for an outdoor table but it is worth the wait. In the late afternoons on the summer weekends a DJ comes and livens up the scene. MoonShadows is in a great location to just enjoy the view and good food. The only thing that inhibits that is a server whois too full of himself. Yes, that is Randy or Randall. Didn't even let me finish what I was saying before he left the table. In fact after we ordered drinks he came back saying to me that he was't sure if I wanted olives or onions so brought both. If he had waited to hear the rest of what I said he would have known it was olives. UNACCEPTABLE!6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMUnbelieveable ViewJust an exquisitel experience. The bouillaibaisse was delicious beyond belief. Driving down the coast and needed a spot to celebrate half-way home. Moohshadows couldn't have been more perfect and the food was everything you could hope it would be. Everyone at our table was impressed and eager to come back again. After a long day, we really needed something special to punctuate the end of our trip and this was it! I know because my normally reserved husband played Cat Steven's "Moonshadows" on his iPhone much of the way home and I didn't even mind.6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstandingGreat Food and an excellent service. I always get the Organic Green Farmers Market Risotto, it's amazing! You can hear the ocean waves and dolphin watch, it is so relaxing. The portion is not big, you won't be overloaded.
The Creme brulee is very good too.
it is not cheap, expect around $60 per person but it is really good and pleasant with a view on the ocean.
