  • "I haven't been to the Moonraker since one of my Terra Nova class reunions many years ago, so I was happy to be reminded when Open Table featured them a few weeks back. We went for dinner on Sunday evening and were seated at a window table with a spectacular ocean view and were able to watch the full sunset...absolutely beautiful. The food was good but not as good as we had hoped. We will probably try a Sunday brunch to see if the food is any better. With so many restaurants to choose from, we won't go back for dinner."

  • "This was the worst Easter brunch ever and not worth $45 per person. The food selection was minimal and of poor quality and we were not even seated in the restaurant but an old meeting room. The only good thing about the brunch was the service. We will never be back!"

  • "What a great time we had last Sunday for brunch. I recently moved to Pacifica and have been gone a lot out of town but finally made it to brunch and I will return. I invited to friends to come up and join me, it was a hit with all of us. I mostly FEASTED on the crab it was wonderful. The buffet was just as inviting and delicious. It was so easy to make reservation. Can't say enough about our server, he was just great. We all decided we will be back soon. "

  • "We celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary and was pleasantly surprised when the waiter greeted us with "happy anniversary" when seating us. At the end of dinner we were treated to a scrumptious chocolate cake with happy anniversary written on the plate in chocolate. Very much appreciated."

  • "We started with the Sweet Gem Lettuce Caesar. It was very tasty and not dry or lack of seasoning. Also we had a small bowl of the clam chowder. It had a smokey flavor that made for a different taste. For entrees we had the Roasted Dungeness Crab Legs with sautéed vegetables, mini twice baked potatoes with garlic shallot butter and Garlic Studded Maine Lobster Tail with winter squash, fingerling potatoes and garlic shallot butter. The garlic butter made the crab very tasty. The lobster had sections that were a bit charred and dry but with the garlic butter it made for a very appetizing meal. For dessert we had the bread pudding with tea to end our meal. Very good and the ambiance was even better."

  • "An amazing view. Booths all face the ocean, and the spray is right out the window. Really -- on stormy days, the waves break right outside. The brunch buffet is VERY reasonably priced, with endless mimosas available for a reasonable extra charge. Oysters on the half shell, dungeness crab legs and body sections, mussels, large prawns and delicious smoked salmon make up the seafood table; standard brunch buffet items such as pancakes, bacon and sausages, eggs benedict (vegetarian and w/can bacon) and an amazing dessert selection. YOU may order made-to-order items: belgian waffle, bacon and cheddar omelette, etc, at no etra charge. The service is exceptionally friendly and attentive. Seating was easy with reservation for 1pm."

  • "Good for an appetizers and drinks. The main menu was limited and several items on the appetizer/sides menu could have been expanded to the main menu. Ahi tuna was good, steaks were good. The wild boar bolognese was rather bland however. Could not distinquish the flavors and textures. Good atmosohere however with a wonderful view. The flatware was dirty when seated and the wait staff was helpful but a little too animated for me."

  • "It was my Dad's and sister's birthday, and we had a wonderful perfect table for 6 facing the windows to the pacific ocean. We had unlimited mimosas and sangria and sparkling wine. The view was perfect, the server was extremely attentive and charming. The food was good, the buffet selection wasn't huge but more than enough for everybody and what they had was excellent. They had probably the best clam chowder I've ever had, and their eggs benedict on french bread toast was unique and delicious. Without much fuss, they also prepared 2 wonderful birthday plates at the end of the meal for my Dad and sister. I had last been at Moonraker maybe 15 years ago, and the service is better now, it seems like everybody likes working there and it shows."

  • "I'm glad that Moonraker is back. My wife and I were celebrating our 31 yrs of marriage. This was one of our favorite spots to spend on a Sunday. It brought back lots of memories as we sat and watched the waves from the ocean. It was a beautiful view. The food was nice though it was missing the omelet station. I always enjoy the seafood station with shrimp & oysters. The sangrias added a nice touch as I prefer something other than mimosa's. Our waiter John was there when we needed something and keep bringing the refills. I would bring my family here again."

  • "We have been to this restaurant before and its always been great, but they somehow out did themselves again. :) we were celebrating our anniversary and requested a bottle of champagne in our reservation. They had it waiting on ice when we got there. The moonraker platter was delicious. We chose to also have the three course menu they offer from mon thru thurs. So glad we did! Great choices at a really good price. They made it very special for us from the second we walked in. Thank you moonraker!"

  • "Everything about The Moonraker was wonderful, from the moment we walked thru the door, we were treated with kindness, we had reservations for dinner and decided to do happy hour before, but the food and drinks were so good for happy hour we never made it to dinner, there are no words to describe the view it's one of those things you have to see to believe, and the fact that it is connected to the hotel(The Best Western Plus) makes it even better because we were staying overnight."

Other than that everything was good, not outstanding. This restaurant has a spectacular ocean view. I might still go back to give them a second chance."

  • "One of the most romantic spots in the area. There's jazz music if that's your thing. You might want to dine before sunset to really get the full view of the ocean. My only complaint was that we were seated right in front of the entrance and there was a constant breezy chill that came through the doors. Otherwise, we had a lovely experience."

  • "I can't say enough of how beautiful the view was from our table. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. The seafood was fresh, fresh, fresh and the smoked salmon melted in your mouth. We didn't opt for mimosas and champagne but the orange juice is fresh squeezed and yummy, yummy, yummy. The service wasn't terrible although the lady serving us could have been a but more friendly. The other servers waiting tables made up for her lack of people skills. All and all I would definitely come again and tell everyone I know. Oh, and the dessert bar was gorgeous and delicious. The cookies were even homemade."

  • "We chose this restaurant based on previous reviews and menu. Since dinner on Valentine's Day is usually busy, we opted to celebrate the next evening. The restaurante was still serving their Valentine Dinner as an option. It really looked good, but since I have dietary restrictions, we went with the regular menu. Each selection was delicious. Our view of the ocean was relaxing. The live music was great. Most of all, our waiter was pleasant, attentive and accommodating. We will definitely be going back."

  • "The restaurant shares the same building as the Best Western. Enter through the lobby and go upstairs. When you enter on a Saturday night, you will hear and see LIVE music in the lounge to your left. Very nice touch. We sat at a table facing the window with an ocean view. Even when it's dark, they have lights shining on the water so you can see the waves as you drink and eat. The service is prompt and they kept filling our glasses with water from the carafe on the table without us asking. The food is SUPERB! We started with the filet of Beef Tartare appetizer. For entrees we had the Seared Ahi Tuna and the Squid Ink Fettuccine Pasta. For dessert the "Barolo" Affogato- Italian hazelnut gelato, chocolate sauce, espresso shot, whipped cream."

The service was highly attentive but gave us room to enjoy a romantic meal. The only thing that could have been better was if we had a better view ... table was set back a bit."
