As to the review, we have been to Monty's several times and this was, by far, the best. I made a seating request in my Open Table reservation and we were seated exactly where we wanted to be. The service was excellent. We prefer to take a couple of hours to dine and the waiter adapted to our pace immediately. The food came out hot and delicious. I actually ordered the sand dabs (in a steak house, I know, I know) and they were the best I've ever had. It was a quiet evening so the noise level was low, which we appreciated. The atmosphere reminds me of NYC, this is a classic and comfortable spot. Our server, Vicki, was great - we totally appreciated the service here and that alone would get us back. Old school service and style. The steaks, however, are the feature here - and they are excellent. Our steaks were quality and cooked PERFECTLY. Prices are in line with other high-end quality steakhouses, yet the wine list is quite reasonable. There are plenty of excellent wines offered - don't bother with BYB and pay corkage, this wine list is totally affordable and excellent selections. The salads are a bit overdressed for me, so next time I will ask for "dressing on the side" - but one small salad is large enough for two.12/13/2012 12:00:00 AM
