My wife is gluten intolerant, and Monti's has a separate menu for gluten free items. The gluten free menu is nearly the same as the regular menu. There are so many choices from which to choose. The staff is always pleasant and mindful. The food is outstanding. I just tried a new menu item (halibut), and I'll have it again when I return. Interesting flavors with a combination of chilies and forbidden rice. The fish was cooked perfectly, and just about melted in my mouth! We went there this time to celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary. I love that you can actually have a conversation in this restaurant. The only bad thing is that their tap water tastes very strange. I was able to drop off flowers in the morning and have them show up on the table that night. Very friendly and professional staff. The food is always a delight, we plan to attend on Saturdays usually, for the duck.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMTried and TrueI can't believe I haven't rated Monti's before. We've dined there countless times! It's our go-to restaurant when we have guests, or when we just feel like going out and having a great meal. Their salads are great. The pasta with short-rib ragout is killer, the pork chop is my daughter's favorite - also one of mine, the hanger steak with truffle fries is awesome and the lamb shanks are perfect. The seafood dishes are excellent and guaranteed not to disappoint! But, my favorite part of every dinner there is oysters on the half-shell with one of their magnificent cocktails. Don't miss dessert - the peanut butter gelato cookie is to die for. Deafening would be more appropriate. If you want a quiet dinner opt to eat on the patio.

Extra bonus was a special Gluten Free menu for GF guests. Not advertised, so ask for it. The food was very nice and decently priced and our server had excellent knowledge of the wine list and pairing recommendations. Flavorful and fresh cuisine. We are used to having to remind waitstaff about the wine if we want it served with the entree.
