The Pouched pear salad was really nice and it is good for 2, the seafood plates ordered in our table were all really good and every one was very happy with their choice. We both enjoyed our dinners....two different chicken dishes. The salad was extremely tasty and the waitress was very helpful and pleasant. Portion sizes were large and even took home leftovers. I particularly liked the menu selections. I look forward to dining here again. Prices are very reasonable. Luckily, they had one open time slot. It was our first time at Monticello. Excellent Apps and Entree's. Recommend the 16 ounce Strip Steak and the scallop App.. Cooked correctly to order - medium rare. The cuisine was outstanding during each course. The staff, especially our waiter Robert, was attentive but not in our faces all the time. To top it all off they don't serve liquor so you can bring your own, which makes it a great value. My biggest issues were that tables are way to small and crowed in. Our plates hung over the side of the table because the table was so small. The noise level in the place made it extremely difficult to talk. Service was also slow and lacking at times. However, it was a Saturday night and the place was packed so that may have been reason for service issues. However, the service this past weekend left a little to be desired. We ordered salad and asked the waiter to divide it so that we could share it. This was not done. We also were not given salad plates and had to ask for them. I ended up eating my salad on a bread plate. The food choices for my husband and I were many. I had the grilled chicken with an Asian sauce which was quite intriguing and tasty. My husband had an Italian shrimp dish with a creamy tomato sauce which he said he hated when it was gone because it was that good. This was no exception. The food was excellent. The service was beyond excellent: the other party ordered an entree where 2 side items were requested to be omitted; the waitress came back and expressed a concern from the chef that the dish might look empty without those 2 items.
In some fairness, I do have to say that this trip was on an early Sunday evening. When we entered there were only 2 or 3 other occupied tables. The waitress was nice but very young and not very knowledgeable nor curious about finding things out in order to answer the customers' questions.
It's a BYO so it saves a great deal on the wallet.

Another great thing besides the food was that they did not rush us out. The waiter did respect us with regards to needing more time to order. Unfortunately the noise level is unbelievable; by the time we left our ears were ringing. Normal conversation was almost impossible by the end of our dinner While this is a problem in many restaurants its really a problem here. The food was Excellent. It was my 2nd time there and I will Def be going back. The only thing I didn't care for were the blue, glass candles on the table.
