A word from Montgomery Inn - Fort Mitchell
Upbeat, fun atmosphere – from the Montgomery Inn in Ft. Mitchell, KY, the sweet smell of our barbecued ribs now wafts from a point south of the Ohio River.

Our world-famous ribs are definitely a hard act to follow. That’s why we also offer equally out-of-this-world entrées and combos, signature appetizers, soups and salads, and seriously decadent desserts. And if you have little ones who refuse to eat anything that’s not a nugget, children’s menus are available as well.

We used Open Table to reserve a table at Montgomery Inn in Ft. Mitchell. We were seated right and the food was delicious. Loved this atmosphere better than Boathouse or Original Montgomery Inn. Service was excellent. We definitely come back. Going through Open Table was so easy and we even got a confirmation of our reservation to ensure it was received. Love it!!!

We visited the Erlanger location for our meal. They have hands down, the best ribs I have ever eaten. Fall off the bone & melt in your mouth. The service was the best I have received in a long time. Will definitely stop by anytime I am in Northern KY for a meal. Since I live in Louisville, I can make a quick trip north if I really crave it.

Took a friend there for his birthday. Service was very good. Drinks were kept refilled. Ribs didn't disappoint. Kids spaghetti must have been good because none was left on the plate. Really enjoyed the rye bread with the salty crust. Thanks for an enjoyable meal.

After hearing Marty and the Cowboy (Cincinnati Reds broadcasters for those of you scoring at home) advertise for Montgomery Inn over the past couple of years I couldn't help but make a trip there next time I was in Cincy. So when I got the chance to go watch the Reds, I made a trip up the evening before and stopped by Montgomery Inn in Fort Mitchell, Ky. I was not disappointed. The ribs are amazing, as well are the Pulled Pork Barbecue Nachos. Next time I'm in the Cincinnati area, I'm definitely coming back.

I was somewhat surprised that a Montgomery Inn was not busy on a Saturday night, but a 7pm reservation was no problem and the restaurant was never full the entire time we were there. As with the other Montgomery Inns the food was great, but the service was just ok. Our server was just ok and putting the tip on the gift card we used was more difficult then it should have been. We won't be in a hurry to go back to this location!

Our first time at this one. It was less crowded and we liked the layout of the dining area. There wasn't anyone walking by or on top of you. Our server Donna was amazing! We will probably go here as our fave rib joint...the food was very hot and fresh. We could tell it didn't sit long to be brought to our table! no more boathouse for us!

Been here many times, good food, but this time was just okay considering the price of the steak. Was a bit on the dry side and not as flavorful as I like. At $35 I think the steak is way overpriced for what it was. Stick to the ribs and pulled pork/chicken as those are always excellent.

As expected, the food was great. You just can't beat Montgomery Inn ribs. The service was truly outstanding right from being welcomed by the young man filling our water glasses (not our waiter) to being greeted by name after paying by credit card and the final send off by what I presume to be an assistant manager. The service was friendly, attentive but not intrusive. I was quite surprised and rewarded our waiter with a nice tip. I hope he shares it all the support people who contributed to the experience. The only downside is that the restaurant is located in a nondescript, out of the way part of Ft. Mitchell but then if I was looking for a nice view I wouldn't be going to Ft. Mitchell to begin with.

The ribs are still great. My favorite menu item used to be the strawberry shortcake. Ordered it this time and was very disappointed. Now the portion is smaller, the focus dems to be ice cream, and there were far fewer strawberries. A real let down. The prices seem to be climbing and the value is certainly dropping.

2 diners loved the pulled BBQ pork sandwich. Happy with sweet potato side. Great ribs. Wedge salad was soaked in blue cheese dressing and not much chicken for too much up charge. Food came very quickly which was great. Would stop again because we love these ribs and BBQ. Sat in booth by front entrance even though not too busy because it was late. Table top too high for booth chairs!

We only get up to Ohio one or twice a year, but Montgomeey Inn has always been one of the places we went to. My husband and I used to live the ribs, but this time they fell short. The ribs smelled and tasted like they'd been refrigerated after cooking, then warmed back up. The sauce was basically ketchup - sweet tomato sauce with no smoke or heat or tang we'd expect in BBQ. For the price charged, I expected a different level. The cheesecake was so-so, also not very fresh tasting. The one bright spot was the excellent service . If we return to MI at all, it won't be for ribs...

We have been to Montgomery Inn numerous times and we have had a flawless experience each time... Until last weekend. They tried twice to replace my Dr. Pepper but it was obviously out of syrup in the machine. After the 2nd try I just gave up. I was shocked to see that we were still charged for it even though I had clearly only had 3 sips of corbonated water. After that we were basically ignore. I really tried to be as nice as possible about the drink and I wasn't mad or anything. Very off bc we typically get very impressive service there.

We are native Buckeyes who live out of state and visiting Cincy again with friends. We were pleased to find that Montgomery Inn BBQ still lives up to its reputation. The food is delicious and even the sides are well seasoned with the right amount of spice. The coleslaw has a horseradish kick. Our friends are ribs fans and agreed that these were exceptional. Our server, Polly, explained the BBQ and other meal options clearly for us and was very attentive to our needs the whole evening. We used the online priority seating and had to wait about 20 minutes, which was much better than the 45 minute walk-in wait on Sat. night. We didn't want to chance a long wait at the Boathouse location and were mainly interested in the great food. Well done!

We have visited the restaurants in Cincinnati before but not the Fort Mitchell location. We were able to get call ahead seating and were seated quickly despite the long wait time for walk ups. This was all you could eat rib night and we did not leave disappointed or hungry. Great, meaty ribs with the awesome barbecue sauce. We also had our kids and the kids meals are more than adequate. It is a bit pricey so I would reserve it for special occasions..at least if you are going for ribs. Overall pleasant experience.

Yes, it was our first time there. We decided to have our Valentines outing at Montgomery Inn. My valentines( My wife and 2 sons) were very impressed. The food, the environment, and most importantly, the dessert was outstanding. I went for the 3 for $30, and my kids didn't like their first choice of desert. The wonderful waiter did NOT have a problem changing the dessert for my kids! That was really nice of her. She also helped my beautiful wife pick some fruity drinks... We all fell in love with the place. When the evening was over, I was a SUPER DAD AND HUSBAND! I will definitely go back!

My boyfriend and I stopped here for dinner on our way to Belterra for the weekend. The menu doesn't have much variety, so we opted for one of the daily specials. The meal was divine, and as requested in my OpenTable reservation, the meal was expedited to meet our schedule. The atmosphere wasn't at all romantic as I expected it would be on Valentine's Day, and we were seated right by the door so it was a bit cold with the impending snowstorm. The thing we were most surprised by was the check. We racked up nearly a $125 bill in the manner of an appetizer to split, a glass of wine, a soft drink and two dinner specials. Not sure we will go back anytime soon, but it was an overall good experience.
