A word from Montgomery Inn - Columbus
Situated high on a bluff overlooking fountains that mist in the night, our newest gem in Dublin is an architectural delight. Designed with colonial Williamsburg in mind, we blend the charm and beauty of the past with comfort and technology of the 21st century.

The sweet smell of barbecue floats in the air, crossing from Franklin into Delaware County. "This location offers the perfect balance of our customer base; nearly 60,000 people reside in the town of Dublin and another 100,000 work within a 3 mile radius of our location" says Evan Andrews of Montgomery Inn. "A sense of community is important to us. Dublin is nearly identical to our own village of Montgomery, home of the original Montgomery Inn".

For rib-lovers – succulent, juicy, baby-back pork ribs – there is no place on the planet that compares to the Montgomery Inn. The uncompromising quality of our ribs keeps folks coming back.

Diner Reviews
  • "We ate here for my brother's birthday. Everyone enjoyed their food and the service was great! The portions were gigantic. We all had enough to take home for the next night's dinner. It was a tad pricey, but we knew that going in so it wasn't a huge deal. We'll likely be back!"

  • "Food was very good, but feel it's over priced compared to other restaurants sevving the same type of food."

  • "Ordered ribs which came overcooked and Luke warm. In order to hide this, they slathered it with a ton of sauce. Had reservations and still had to wait 15 minutes at the bar. Totally understaffed and unprepared for holiday weekend. I'll stick with the Hickory House"

  • "Service was superb. Food was delicious. Waitress was BEST I have EVER had. Celebrating 2 birthdays and 1 anniversary, we were treated ROYALLY!"

  • "We honestly chose this restaurant because it never seems packed on Friday evenings (with two small children, we can't wait 40-60 minutes for a table). We had been to Montgomery inn several months back with a large group and thought it was good. A few things that could be better: Mac and cheese seems like cheese whiz and pasta. We were told it was "recently improved", which begs the question "how bad was it before?" Also, the nachos appetizer is not nachos, but rather potato chips. They should not call them nachos. Overall the food was good, but they really need to come up with some more exciting meat dishes (beyond the antiquated ribs they are famous for), or they risk extinction."

  • "This was our first visit to Montgomery Inn - Columbus. We'd eaten at the Boathouse in Cincinnati, so we knew how great the food was. This was a memorable dinner. The Saratoga Chips are not to be missed. The ribs were so good!!!!! Everything was cooked to order and was wonderfully tasty. As part of the Inn crowd, we enjoyed free dessert! Also, our server was one of the best servers we've ever had. She was helpful, quick, fun, and overall helped make our dining experience great! We will definitely be back and will recommend this to our friends. We drove over 75 miles to get to this restaurant and it was totally worth it!"

  • "Went for Father's Day and had a great time! LOVE Montgomery Inn BBQ sauce!"

  • "We went to Montgomery Inn for lunch on Father's Day and it was a great experience. We had two young children with us and the hostess provided us with crayons and kids menus to occupy them. We were also seated in the bar area at a round table with a tv nearby so that helped entertain them as well. We ordered appetizers which were very good and came out quickly. Our main course was served hot and delicious. Server was very prompt and friendly."

  • "Food was great, prices were high but you get what you pay for!"

  • "Honestly, the worst ribs ever. Tough and over sauced. Texas Roadhouse has much better ribs. Add to the fact it was over $30 for a slab. Never again."

  • "Food was good, but not great. Service was great. Place seemed a little empty. The bar seemd to have more activity going on and we were there on a Friday night, after 6:00pm."

  • "Ribs are not as good as the boathouse in Cincinnati or the Original Montgomery Inn. Not sure why ... Not bad, just not as good as in Cincy. Three course feature menu for $30 offers solid value - but honestly, as I showed my server, I received a large piece of plastic in my dessert ice cream (about the size of a fork tong) and she apologized - but then did NOTHING about it or offered to adjust our check. We didn't press it ... but if I were the owner, I'd be disappointed in this level of service both in the front and back of the house."

  • "I purchased a groupon to try this place. Always heard the ribs were good. Server recommended salmon, and it arrived too salty to eat. He then said, "I hear that a lot with that dish!". He was going to bring me ribs, with no sauce. They arrived covered in sauce! He offered to "get it right", by now my family was almost done. The place was not crowded at all, no idea why it was such a problem. The server was very nice about it. My daughters brisket sandwich had cold meat in it? Dessert was delicious (cheesecake)! Service was good, food, not so much."

  • "We hadn't tried Mont. Inn before and my husband had ribs on his mind. Sadly we were not impressed. We went very early at 5 pm on a saturday and sat near a window seat which could have been good but outside was weeds and a dried up water basin that the development has obviously not kept up with. The waitress was so nice, but it took longer than 10-15 minutes to be greeted and a drink order. The other tables too had poor greeting, almost like they didn't know who had which tables, and it was NOT busy yet. The ribs tenderness was fine but the sauce seriously was like it was poured out of a bottle and had been sitting there. So sorry, won't ever go back, but wanted to like it."

  • "This is not the same, nor even remotely close, to the Montgomery Inn in Cincinnati. The ambiance is poor and the service was mediocre. The food left a lot to be desired. The presentation was poor, food came out on a bed of shredded lettuce. Duck was dry, portions were small. And to top it all off the prices are extremely high. Would nit recommend."

  • "The Inn offers the best ribs anywhere. On top of that, the service was excellent. They currently have a $30 prix fixe menu which is an great deal."

  • "I grew up in Cincinnati and was very excited when the Montgomery Inn came to Columbus. The place has great ribs and BBQ, it's very kid friendly and has an excellent bar area. I was happy with the food, as usual but a little disappointed with the service. We were there for a special occasion, told them in advance but the staff never recognized the occasion which sets it apart from other nice places. Overall, I love having the Montgomery Inn in Columbus and take my family monthly. All I can saw is great ribs and BBQ! "

  • "I really enjoyed the food and service. The bbq ribs were excellent as was the blue cheese wedge salad. I also enjoyed the sports memorabilia hanging on the walls and in display cases, especially those relating to the Cincinnati Reds. Sort of like an elegant sports bar. I don't drink so I can't comment on that aspect of it. As I said the food and service was first rate however, I have found very comparable food and service for a significantly reduced price at other restaurants featuring ribs and bbq."

  • "We made reservations for Mother's Day. It was the most wonderful experience. We were seated & waited on right away. We got our good fast & hot. We also had enough privacy to celebrate a birthday plus Mother's Day. Thank you very much for great experience"

  • "We had a reservation for a group of eight for Mother's Day lunch. We were seated immediately upon arriving. The restaurant was busy but not noisy at all. Our server was AMAZING. She was waiting on several tables and didn't miss anything. It was my first time at this location and I will be back! "

  • "All four of us had ribs in some combination and they were outstanding. I also had chicken which was very good. Also I would recommend the profiteroles."

  • "We enjoy dining at Motgomery Inn, but I certainly wish I had read the reviews prior to making our "reservation"! We made Mother's Day reservations because we would be dining with 2 small kids. Unfortunately when we arrived we were informed that it was only priority seating, and still waited an additional 25 minutes. My kids were restless and the hostess was not very accommodating. Terrible policy and very confusing as this is not noted when you make your "reservation"! Food is good, but there is no real point in scheduling through Open Table."

  • "My wife is from Cincinnati and I thought it would be nice to take her to Montgomery Inn to give her a little taste of home. Boy, was that disappointing! After arriving at our reservation time, they seated us in the "Garden Room" which appeared to be furnished with the same things a sub shop might use. No table cloths on laminate tables with metal cafeteria chairs. I don't know what the other rooms looked like, but this was unimpressive with a view to a mostly empty pond with black plastic exposed. The food was mediocre and over priced considering the atmosphere and furnishings. I may go back to one in Cincinnati, but I will not be going back here."

  • "We enjoy The Montgomery Inn for special occasions, as well as casual dining. They fit the bill for both with an extensive menu and excellent service. Everyone form the servers to the manager is involved with satisfying customers, and it shows with attentive waiting on table, filled water glasses and nicely prepared meal combinations."

  • "First time visit to Montgomery Inn and we were very impressed. The meet falls off the bone for the ribs and you can't beat there BBQ Sauce."

  • "The food was excellent and we enjoyed our time there, but making a "reservation" on OpenTable was essentially worthless. We still waited more than an hour for our table. If we had known that they don't stand by reservations we probably would have gone somewhere else that day. That being said, we will go back some other time, but won't bother to make a pointless "reservation""

  • "I made a reservation at Montgomery Inn in Dublin through open table, but when I arrived I was told it was only priority seating, not a true reservation and that it would be a 45 minute wait until we could be seated. This was a special dinner I had planned with my family from out of town and we were angry that we were not informed in advance about the non-reservation policy, especially since this restaurant is on open table. We had made the reservation at 8pm and could not wait until nearly 9pm to eat dinner, so we had to find another restaurant that night instead that would seat us right away."
    Dined on 5/3/2014
  • "When we arrived at the restaurant they told us they were running about 30 minutes behind the reservation time. No problem, we'll go to the bar and get a drink. After waiting about 20 minutes we received drinks that were not what we ordered. After waiting 35 minutes we checked on our dinner reservation and were told there were still "five two-toppers" ahead of us. We left and went to a different restaurant."
    Dined on 5/3/2014
  • "Our OpenTable reservation was not honored here because they don't actually take reservations. The OpenTable reservations just puts you a little bit higher on the waiting list. This was disappointing. Do not expect a real reservation when making one here."
    Dined on 5/3/2014
  • "Food and service was less than average. Even with reservation, we waited for 30+ minutes for a table. This was not expected."
    Dined on 5/3/2014
  • "Yum! The ribs and Saratoga chips are really good. The ribs are moist with lots of meat. Order a whole rack and take some home to enjoy some delicious leftovers. Saratoga chips are crisp and tasty. My 91 year old mother loved them too."

  • "I made a reservation as a surprise dinner for my husband's birthday. We arrive and our reservation is no where to be found. I show them the confirmation email and was told they would talk to the manager and get us seated immediately. Fifteen minutes passes and nothing has happened so we decide to walk over to another bar to get a drink instead if standing there. We are told it will probably be 30 minutes and that they will call us when our table is ready. We arrive at the other bar, order drinks, and not more than 5 minutes later, are called that our table is ready. I appreciate the speed but now we are all chugging our drinks to go back. Then, it was 25 minutes until we ordered after being seated and another HOUR before our food arrives. "

  • "The restaurant was cold, because management was unaware that the temperature was dropping outside and still had that air conditioning blowing. The food was overpriced because it really was average. The service was poor, because we had to ask for water repeatedly. I even had to ask for wet wipes after eating ribs."

  • "My husband and I went there for our anniversary. Our server Jill was very nice but we were disappointed in some of the food we ordered. I got the trio sandwiches and my husband got ted's platter. The brisket was tender but not quite lean enough for my liking. My husband was very disappointed in the ribs. They had very little flavor and not very much meat. What meat he did have was tough and grissly. The gulf shrimp cantoneese was cooked perfectly. "
