A word from Montgomery Inn - Columbus
Situated high on a bluff overlooking fountains that mist in the night, our newest gem in Dublin is an architectural delight. Designed with colonial Williamsburg in mind, we blend the charm and beauty of the past with comfort and technology of the 21st century.

The sweet smell of barbecue floats in the air, crossing from Franklin into Delaware County. "This location offers the perfect balance of our customer base; nearly 60,000 people reside in the town of Dublin and another 100,000 work within a 3 mile radius of our location" says Evan Andrews of Montgomery Inn. "A sense of community is important to us. Dublin is nearly identical to our own village of Montgomery, home of the original Montgomery Inn".

For rib-lovers – succulent, juicy, baby-back pork ribs – there is no place on the planet that compares to the Montgomery Inn. The uncompromising quality of our ribs keeps folks coming back.

The food was a little disappointing. Maybe I expected to much but the barbecue tasted different than the kind you buy in the grocery store. It was sweeter and didn't have the tang I liked about Montgomery Inn barbecue. The ribs were good but a little on the fatty side like Damon's. I like City Barbecue better and it's cheaper. The service was very friendly and prompt. The restaurant was clean and inviting.

I took my son and friends for his birthday. The food and service were excellent. The three of them had the $30 special combo and each needed a box due to the large amount of ribs they received.

I had requested a table with a view, but didn't get one. In some ways service was good, but I had to ask the server to clear some dirty dishes. The ribs were good, the mac and cheese was nothing to write home about. The cream puffs were quite tough and leathery! Hard to eat a profiterole when the cream puff is difficult to cut! It wasn't a bad experience, but it was rather disappointing. We have better memories of the one in Cincinnati.

Ordered ribs for myself and boyfriend. His ribs were great and needed nothing, mine tasted like straight tomato soup. Even with a side of Chipolte sauce, they tasted horrible. I'd prefer to visit Smokey Bones and BBQ for ribs over here. Another note, waitress refused to take my ribs off bill until I talked to manager. She was worried about a tip more then great service. We will not return.

This place needs an attitude adjustment. It is tired and formulaic, and the food is pretty mediocre. The staff seemed to be going through the motions and there was nothing there to make me want to return.

We ate here for my brother's birthday. Everyone enjoyed their food and the service was great! The portions were gigantic. We all had enough to take home for the next night's dinner. It was a tad pricey, but we knew that going in so it wasn't a huge deal. We'll likely be back!

Ordered ribs which came overcooked and Luke warm. In order to hide this, they slathered it with a ton of sauce. Had reservations and still had to wait 15 minutes at the bar. Totally understaffed and unprepared for holiday weekend. I'll stick with the Hickory House

We honestly chose this restaurant because it never seems packed on Friday evenings (with two small children, we can't wait 40-60 minutes for a table). We had been to Montgomery inn several months back with a large group and thought it was good. A few things that could be better: Mac and cheese seems like cheese whiz and pasta. We were told it was "recently improved", which begs the question "how bad was it before?" Also, the nachos appetizer is not nachos, but rather potato chips. They should not call them nachos. Overall the food was good, but they really need to come up with some more exciting meat dishes (beyond the antiquated ribs they are famous for), or they risk extinction.

This was our first visit to Montgomery Inn - Columbus. We'd eaten at the Boathouse in Cincinnati, so we knew how great the food was. This was a memorable dinner. The Saratoga Chips are not to be missed. The ribs were so good!!!!! Everything was cooked to order and was wonderfully tasty. As part of the Inn crowd, we enjoyed free dessert! Also, our server was one of the best servers we've ever had. She was helpful, quick, fun, and overall helped make our dining experience great! We will definitely be back and will recommend this to our friends. We drove over 75 miles to get to this restaurant and it was totally worth it!

We went to Montgomery Inn for lunch on Father's Day and it was a great experience. We had two young children with us and the hostess provided us with crayons and kids menus to occupy them. We were also seated in the bar area at a round table with a tv nearby so that helped entertain them as well. We ordered appetizers which were very good and came out quickly. Our main course was served hot and delicious. Server was very prompt and friendly.

Ribs are not as good as the boathouse in Cincinnati or the Original Montgomery Inn. Not sure why ... Not bad, just not as good as in Cincy. Three course feature menu for $30 offers solid value - but honestly, as I showed my server, I received a large piece of plastic in my dessert ice cream (about the size of a fork tong) and she apologized - but then did NOTHING about it or offered to adjust our check. We didn't press it ... but if I were the owner, I'd be disappointed in this level of service both in the front and back of the house.

I purchased a groupon to try this place. Always heard the ribs were good. Server recommended salmon, and it arrived too salty to eat. He then said, "I hear that a lot with that dish!". He was going to bring me ribs, with no sauce. They arrived covered in sauce! He offered to "get it right", by now my family was almost done. The place was not crowded at all, no idea why it was such a problem. The server was very nice about it. My daughters brisket sandwich had cold meat in it? Dessert was delicious (cheesecake)! Service was good, food, not so much.

We hadn't tried Mont. Inn before and my husband had ribs on his mind. Sadly we were not impressed. We went very early at 5 pm on a saturday and sat near a window seat which could have been good but outside was weeds and a dried up water basin that the development has obviously not kept up with. The waitress was so nice, but it took longer than 10-15 minutes to be greeted and a drink order. The other tables too had poor greeting, almost like they didn't know who had which tables, and it was NOT busy yet. The ribs tenderness was fine but the sauce seriously was like it was poured out of a bottle and had been sitting there. So sorry, won't ever go back, but wanted to like it.

This is not the same, nor even remotely close, to the Montgomery Inn in Cincinnati. The ambiance is poor and the service was mediocre. The food left a lot to be desired. The presentation was poor, food came out on a bed of shredded lettuce. Duck was dry, portions were small. And to top it all off the prices are extremely high. Would nit recommend.

I grew up in Cincinnati and was very excited when the Montgomery Inn came to Columbus. The place has great ribs and BBQ, it's very kid friendly and has an excellent bar area. I was happy with the food, as usual but a little disappointed with the service. We were there for a special occasion, told them in advance but the staff never recognized the occasion which sets it apart from other nice places. Overall, I love having the Montgomery Inn in Columbus and take my family monthly. All I can saw is great ribs and BBQ!

I really enjoyed the food and service. The bbq ribs were excellent as was the blue cheese wedge salad. I also enjoyed the sports memorabilia hanging on the walls and in display cases, especially those relating to the Cincinnati Reds. Sort of like an elegant sports bar. I don't drink so I can't comment on that aspect of it. As I said the food and service was first rate however, I have found very comparable food and service for a significantly reduced price at other restaurants featuring ribs and bbq.

We enjoy dining at Motgomery Inn, but I certainly wish I had read the reviews prior to making our "reservation"! We made Mother's Day reservations because we would be dining with 2 small kids. Unfortunately when we arrived we were informed that it was only priority seating, and still waited an additional 25 minutes. My kids were restless and the hostess was not very accommodating. Terrible policy and very confusing as this is not noted when you make your "reservation"! Food is good, but there is no real point in scheduling through Open Table.

My wife is from Cincinnati and I thought it would be nice to take her to Montgomery Inn to give her a little taste of home. Boy, was that disappointing! After arriving at our reservation time, they seated us in the "Garden Room" which appeared to be furnished with the same things a sub shop might use. No table cloths on laminate tables with metal cafeteria chairs. I don't know what the other rooms looked like, but this was unimpressive with a view to a mostly empty pond with black plastic exposed. The food was mediocre and over priced considering the atmosphere and furnishings. I may go back to one in Cincinnati, but I will not be going back here.

The food was excellent and we enjoyed our time there, but making a "reservation" on OpenTable was essentially worthless. We still waited more than an hour for our table. If we had known that they don't stand by reservations we probably would have gone somewhere else that day. That being said, we will go back some other time, but won't bother to make a pointless "reservation"

I made a reservation at Montgomery Inn in Dublin through open table, but when I arrived I was told it was only priority seating, not a true reservation and that it would be a 45 minute wait until we could be seated. This was a special dinner I had planned with my family from out of town and we were angry that we were not informed in advance about the non-reservation policy, especially since this restaurant is on open table. We had made the reservation at 8pm and could not wait until nearly 9pm to eat dinner, so we had to find another restaurant that night instead that would seat us right away.
