Monte's Steak and SeafoodI'm surprised I didn't go sooner!I truly enjoyed Monte's. It's located in the French Quarter plaza on Lakeland Drive on the west side. When you walk in, it's almost like going into someone's house. A spiral stair case to an upstairs dining area is on the right. We sat next to a window which offered a nice view of outside. I hate the ribeye and my lady had the catfish platter. The steak was cooked to the exact specification that I requested and had a very tender/juicy texture to it. The taste didn't require that I add anything additional, so the seasoning was right on point. The catfish was absolutely amazing! Not dried out like some places nor over-seasoned. I will probably be ordering it next time. Our server was polite and kept our drinks refilled properly.5/23/2013 12:00:00 AM
