I LOVE MONKEY POD! Almost everything I've every had there was amazing! The only thing i didn't like was the steak! But who needs to eat steak when there are Fish tacos, poke tacos, pumpkin (or butternut squash) raviolis, Arugula & Kale salads... i could go on and on and on!!! Definitely the place to go if you like to eat foods with a new twist, different flavor combos and FRESH!

Had a reservation for a birthday celebration and our table was not ready. Worse part is, they were not nice about it and made us feel not welcomed. The manager ordered some complimentary appetizers to make up for the late seating and then charged us for it. When I pointed it out, she was kind of treating us like we were dumb. Food was just ok.

For dinner I was craving for some flatbread/pizza dishes & searched up places in my area. Just in case, I did make reservations & they had a slot in 15mins from when I booked it. Our server Liz was great. Loved her attitude & service was good. She made sure we were okay & checked up on us when we took a few bites of our meals. We ordered the Raw Bar mixed late & it was delicious. A must have for any locals, if you love tako (octopus) poke, ahi poke, and shrimp ceviche. We order a pizza not sure how full we were going to be, just in case we wanted dessert at the end but It was the Upcountry special that hit the spot! The dressing on the salad was mouthwatering & the steak was perfect to order. I definitely recommend this place & dine again!

My second visit to this restaurant and my last. The first visit, when there were 3 of us, the service was extremely slow and the food just as bad. The first time around we sent food back because of it coming our cold. This time, when I was dining by myself, things were the same. While my kale salad, the one bright spot of my dining experience, came out quickly, I waited quite some time for my entre. I had to waive my waiter down to ask about my meal and only then did he go check. He never came by my table prior to this to advise the status of my meal. At my waiter's recommendation, I ordered the Fish & Chips as the batter was supposed to be a light tempura batter; not so. It was doughy and seemed like more dough than fish.

Monkeypod was a nice resturant with nice decor. The service was good. However, for lunch I spent $40 dollars for 3 small fish tacos, a lemonade, and sorbet. It did not fill me up! Also it was very warm, NO AC!

We love going up to Monkeypod for drinks and pupus but this last time it took 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged our presence and then when she finally came up to us it took another 10 minutes to get our drinks. At that time we only ordered two drinks and my drink was the exact opposite of what I ordered. The girl who brought my drink to me even knew my drink was wrong and graciously retuned with the correct version. We were going to order pupus but she never came back for a very long time, never asked if everything was okay, etc., so we opted to leave. It then took another half hour to actually leave because we had to wait for her to come back and give us the check. In spite of the inadequate service we will be back because we love it there.

The food was outstanding. I had hosted my business guests for dinner designed to sell the ambiance, their pallete (coming from the mainland), while simultaneously having the unique flavors from Hawaii. It was the perfect blend and our waitress was extremely friendly always attentive to our needs and articulated the different dishes. Thank you Monkey Pod - Ko Olina, my business guests couldn't stop raving to my associates how good your restaurant was. IMUA (#1). Thanks.

My wife mentioned that she'd heard about this place, so on a whim, I took her and my little girl to eat at Mp K. As another person before me commented, the prices for their pizza are a bit steep. A word of warning to pizza lovers, the kids pizza is the same size as the general menu pizza; only limited toppings. So if you find yourself here, and are in the mood for a pizza, go with the kids menu pizza and save yourself 6+ dollars. Trust me, the additional toppings do not equate to the price you'd pay. Other than the above mentioned price disparity, the experience was pleasent, and I would recommend this place for the sheer experience of trying something new.

One of our sides did not come with dinner, we had to find the manager to ask about it and 10 minutes later we finally got it. The manager did make if right by "buying" one of the entrees. The waitress only said the side was taken to the wrong table, not really an apology. The restaurant is was too hot upstairs. Would suggest more fans.

Their macadamia nut encrusted mahi maui is always excellent, as are the veggies, etc. Also their cream pies are to die for - large enough to split! We like to sit upstairs, close to the balcony rail as the outdoor breeze is usually very nice and comfortable. Servers are also very friendly & helpful.

This was our second visit within five days. The restaurant is located in a small shopping strip across from the Aulani Disney Resort. During a shopping trip, we stopped in. The food was so fresh and delicious, we decided to go back. Both visits were during happy hour. Pizzas were on special for half price, and they were wonderful. The steak special was also delicious and more than enough to share. The servers were friendly and helpful and service was quick. Live music was playing during both visits and added to the festive atmosphere. We decided to try dessert since the rest of the meal was so good, so we chose the banana cream pie. The pie was over the top good. It would be worth the visit just to get the pie!!

Went here on a recommendation despite what I read on-line. True to on-line review, this place was indeed a tourist trap. We stood around for 5 minutes before the hostess came around to seat us. Then she asked us if we wanted to sit indoors or on the patio despite the fact that there was a downpour and wind. Sure there were umbrellas, but the wind made them obsolete. Then another 10 minutes of waiting before our server showed up. It took way too long to bring our drinks. When she did, we asked for a covered cup and straw for our toddler. another 10 minutes. Finally the food showed up. Despite the happy hour 50% off, it was still overpriced. $13 for a pizza that was only maybe 12" across!?!? I will NEVER visit this place again. Stay away!!!

Monkeypod will always be on my list whenever there is a special occasion for a family member or friend. The food, especially the aioli and ketchup is amazing! I know it may seem crazy to boast about the condiments, but the restaurant overall is worth every penny. What Monkeypod has to offer may be a bit pricey to some, but again, worth every dollar you spend. Hope you take this review in consideration and enjoy your time at Monkeypod!

This is a lovely venue for lunch; and one that is near some things friends and I have done out in that area so we bank on it. The staff is pleasant, but the service is not. I'm not sure why. We've waited forever for drinks, or one person's order, or as was the case yesterday, for my burger. With tip and tax, paying $17 for a burger would've been fine if my order had been delivered correctly. It was raw in the center (I had ordered it medium), and it took a while for me to track our waitress down (she didn't come back right away to ck if our order was great). She apologized, genuinely, and took it away. She came back and said they were making me a new one. What I got when they brought it back was my original burger, microwaved to death.

Enjoyed lunch in the outdoor patio fronting the golf course and train tracks. The truffle oil mushroom pizza was yummy. My friend had the very fresh mahi fish sandwich with slaw and other trimmings. The garlic truffle oil fries were worth every extra calorie. Oye, our waiter, had an extensive knowledge about the wine offerings and recommended a lovely pinot noir. The banana cream pie capped the meal, too. The only drawback were the flies attracted to my pizza but Oye had planned ahead and brought me a pizza tray to cover it. Highly recommend. Going back for breakfast.
