Mon Ami Gabi - RestonGreat experienceUnlike the last time, this time the service was impeccable. Tep was the waiter and Alex was the busboy. They were both outstanding. Dinner was superb. Their Escargots de Bourgogne are out of this world!! Their dining AlFresco is so delightful; you just have to get there a little earlier than your reservation and request to dine outside; it's on a first come basis. Last night, the weather was great so the combination of great weather, food, and service made the night. I noted here that two members of our party were celebrating birthdays and asked if they could bring out our desserts with one candle in each - this request never got noted and nothing was done.
I think I will just make my reservations by phone the next time and forget about using this APP

The Steak Bordelaise was delicious--so thin and cooked perfectly at medium rare (dark pink). The Chocolate Tart and Profiteroles are both delicious for dessert. The place was packed on a rainy Saturday in May around 12:15pm. Be sure to make reservations, as people who hadn't were waiting for a while. We had the seafood crepe and soup de jour. Not Paris, but not bad for an American-French restaurant. The food was good, but the service was fab! Our waiter was solicitous and excellent with advice--which really made the experience a special occasion for 3 of us. He spent a lot of time explaining things and brought several wines to taste before we settled on individual glasses instead of a bottle. The menu emphasizes the French-style bistro steak frites with various sauces. They're good, but if you like your steak rare, then this isn't for you. The rib eye only comes in 22 oz so 2 of us split it, which was great. Service was attentive but not overbearing.

Reasonable prices and consistently great service. Two of us each shared two main courses -- sea scallops and steak/frites (beurre maitre d'hotel is the classic French style). The kitchen prepared each course separately and brought us nice portions. Never figured out why their fries are cut so small and curly, as this wouldn't be something you'd find in France.
