  • Catering: We have two private rooms available seven days a week for lunch, dinner and even breakfast meetings. Both rooms are located off the main dining room through glass paneled French doors, featuring deep mahogany wood & a mosaic tile floor.
    The Right Bank seats 50 guests comfortably with The Left Bank seating parties of 40 guests. Semi-private dining is available for parties of 60-100 with the entire restaurant seating parties of 250 guests. Rooms are audio visual compatible for program events. A word from Mon Ami Gabi - Oakbrook
Mon Ami Gabi is a classic French bistro and steakhouse. The traditional menu features classics such as the warm Onion Soup Au Gratin, Frisée & Bacon Salad with a soft-poached egg and croutons, Roast Chicken grand-mère style with mushrooms, bacon and pearl onions, as well as the trademark Steak Frites. At lunch, we offer lighter fare including crepes, quiches and seasonal salads. Come in Saturday and Sunday for our weekend brunch, featuring a Build-Your-Own Bloody Mary Bar.
To complement the cuisine, an extensive selection of over 80 boutique French wine varietals are served by the glass or bottle from our signature rolling wine cart.

  • "This was our first time to Mon Ami Gabi and I expected a typical Lettuce experience. It was a Saturday night, however the restaurant was not crowded. Our server took our order, delivered our food & drinks and then disappeared. It took a really long time to get our food, and we probably waited for almost 30 minutes to finally see our server to get our check (and a box for leftovers) so we could leave! A table was seated next to us-they arrived when we got our drinks. The ordered drinks, appetizers, a meal and dessert and they still were done before we were. Normally we are pretty easy to please but my husband was annoyed-and reflected it in the tip (along with a note to the server)."

  • "We've been here several times and have never been disappointed by the food. The french onion soup is our go-back must-have. Rich and flavorful with the perfect balance of onions + broth + cheese. My steak Roquefort was cooked perfectly with a pungent blue cheese. My wife's trout was seared delicately and presented in a plate filling pallet of culinary mastery along with green beans. Now the service.... could have been improved IF the bussers and wait staff would have taken the time to actually look at the table and make sure everything was proper. A missing place setting, missing salt & pepper and generally a feeling of having shlepped the last guest out of the seat to get us in. We had to flag down others to ask for these things."

Parking on Sundays is easier on the earlier end as the mall opens later. If you prefer lunch or dinner items the food is prepared beautifully--we have never been disappointed. Just don't ask for Cheddar Cheese if you decide to have the excellent Cheeseburger."

The mussels took a long time to come out which would not be a big deal except our steaks came while eating thr mussels. The waiter asked if he should hold them but I do not want them under a heat lamp while we finish the mussels. The mussels are not good to eat cold. Unfortunately my steak was charred on the outside while it was cooked to medium. Overall I was disappointed. I am not sure that we will be returning as we have had more than 2 dinners consecutively which were not good."

My husband & I decided that we were coming back before we had even been served our meal. The ambience was very nice, our server Keith was knowledgable, patient and kind and the manager, Matt, was attentive & generous as well! Our meal was superb, as were the appetizers and drinks. My 22 oz bone in rib eye was cooked to PERFECTION, and was one of the most delicious steaks this girl has EVER had! To top things off, our server brought us dessert for our celebration! We WILL be coming back to this restaurant, I mean when your treated this sweetly, who wouldn't!!"

  • "I went to Mon Ami Gabi on Sunday for my anniversary. We went late (8:30pm), which may have been the problem since they close at 9:00pm on Sundays. The restaurant did not have many people dining at that time, but they proceeded to put us at a table next to a large and very noisy group. They clearly were cleaning up the dining areas and didn't want us in the area's that were already cleaned. Other than that, the food was very good and the service was also very good. I will be back again, but next time I will make sure that it isn't near closing time."

Second the restaurant was not responsive to the phone calls. The party I was meeting called to specifically find out where in Oak Brook Mall the restaurant stood. She called twice and no one answered the phone. She finally asked someone in one of the flagship stores for the location. She was late 30 minutes due to the unresponsiveness of the restaurant."

We had to move our table for the lady next to me to get up and down. Our server seemed very busy, but they had many servers standing around the server stations.   • "We've been going to Mon Ami Gabi since the Oak Brook bistro opened in 2000 and we've never had a negative experience ... until now. First off, one of the things I enjoyed most about the Gabitini martini was the blue cheese-stuffed olives. You could tell the cheese was fresh and had been hand-stuffed. On our most recent visit last Saturday, sadly, the olives had the taste and consistency of store-bought blue cheese-stuffed olives, or in other words, a huge come-down from the previous version. Secondly, my entrée, the halibut with ratatouille, came out from the kitchen lukewarm at best. It was sent back to be re-fired, but even then it was disappointing. We weren't charged for it, but by that time the evening was beyond repair. C'est la vie."
