Momiji RestaurantMomiji never disappoints!Momiji never disappoints! This is a great restaurant with awesome service. The Japanese garden view is a plus!6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat neighborhood find.We will definitely be back. The food was great and service friendly and attentive. It got noisy as it filled up because of the hard surfaces.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMCan't say enough good things...In a city full of great sushi, Momiji is among the best in terms of quality, quantity and creativeness.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMRoll with itMomiji is warmer inside than the spare outside appearance suggests. Sushi was good (not great) but the rolls seem to be the attraction here, and we followed that lead. Lots of complex options but the two we picked were great and I bet you can't really go wrong. Worth a visit!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMInnovative roll combinationsWe'd never had fruit flavors added in to our sushi rolls. We had one roll that was accompanied by a raspberry sort of jam along the plate to drag the roll in before popping it in your mouth - genius! Also had a roll with unagi, red pepper, portobello mushrooms and mango on top (asparagus and tofu and a couple other things inside). Again, genius.
The prices for wine are ridiculously high ($52 for a bottle of J Lohr? Really?), so don't go for the wine selection or prices.
The ice cream is served in the 'ball wrapped with goo" style -- no thank you.
Skip wine and skip desert.
Go for the food, amazingly fresh and innovative.4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat food and good timesAmazing food as always. Two of our party were really late but the staff were all kind and gracious.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMAbsolutely love the Sake Flight,Absolutely love the Sake Flight, huge paper lighting fixtures, and zen garden in the middle. Sushi is FANTASTIC; certainly the best in Seattle.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWe come here often. ThisWe come here often. This time we had the Mr. Perfect, 12th Avenue, Casino Royale, and Spicy Cassidy rolls. It was the 2nd time we've had the Casino Royale roll--the first had a jalapeno sauce on the plate. We thought the flavor of the pepper masked the taste of the sushi, but this time there were shaved jalapenos on top, instead of the sauce. This method allowed us to control the amount of pepper in each bite, which was GREAT, since each person in our party likes a different level of heat. Thank you!4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our first time atThis was our first time at Momiji and it was wonderful. We had a great server and everything we ordered was delicious.
