Unfortunately, we hit MM's during a neighborhood pub crawl - the crawlers were loud outside as well as inside. Food was just okay.

I don't think we will go back to Molly McGuire's. The food was good, the beer was delicious, and our waitress was nice. It took too long for the food to come out, but I didn't mind that. It was way too loud in there. We couldn't hear each other talk. We had to constantly repeat ourselves and yell to be heard. Did not make for a pleasant dinner. We sat off the left as you came in the front door. Maybe it was just this one area that had terrible acoustics?

This was my second visit to Molly Maguire's and the food was very good both times. Staff is exceptionally friendly and service was great. Outside dining area is a nice plus. My only negative is that the music on this night was so loud that we were not able to have a conversation at the bar. On my previous visit this was not the case. Both times, however, the music was very good.

Our waitress didn't come to our table for 10 minutes, took our order, and then once we were done with our food, she never came around to take our plates, another waitress took them. Then, it took her another 20 minutes until we go our check, and then she took 10 minutes to scan the card. By the end of the night, we were a little annoyed with her service. Also, the noise level was outrageous. They had a game of some sorts going on, and we could barely have a nice conversation. We should have eaten outside.

Held a mini-family reunion at the restaurant. Two of our family members were there from Italy and they were impressed with the food. We were seated in a great location which allowed everyone to catch up without interfering with other diners. 8 people were at lunch and everyone thought the food and the service was great!

The food was good. I had the sheppards pie and is was as good as in Ireland. The service was poor. It took 20 minutes to get someone to bring our food and then they got the order wrong so that took more time. They did take 10% off the bill for the poor service.

Most of us had a really good meal ... But 1 had cold fries and a not so good burger. Atmosphere is always nice but was hot upstairs and there is only 1 bathroom upstairs - wait staff is always pleasant and tolerant of our groups. Drink specials don't have prices - so boy I was surprised to see my sangria was $9.00. But overall a good time wawa had by all.

Can't wait to go back both for the interior and also to sit outside on the veranda. We had a wonderful time and totally enjoyed the ambiance!! Food was great too!

Looking for something last minute and decided to try Molly Maguire's. Ordered two Irish classics, which arrived at the table about two minutes later. OK but nothing to write home about. Service never offered to refill drinks and made an error on the check (which they readily corrected after we pointed it out). Seemed like a good bar to hang in, but not sure the food is worth the trip.

I met two friends after work for drinks and food. While admittedly not an Irish food fan, I went for the burger which was honestly delicious. Bacon was crispy too. Burger wasn't dense and roll was perfect. Two things, my buddies got burgers and wait staff didn't ask how they wanted it done. 2nd, wait staff came over too often, sometimes warranted, but times we all had fresh drinks and were mid conversation and got interrupted to see how things were. I appreciate the attention, but also train/recognize bad times to come over. All in all. The clean restraunt and clean bathroom and great burger...I will be back many times!!!

We went based on a friends recommendation and when we went into the restaurant there was a band that was very loud, the hostess asked us if we wanted to sit downstairs or upstairs, we said upstairs as there was no way we could eat with that music blaring. Well it turns out upstairs there was a bar and being Friday night it was starting up and to make matters worse there were about 6 women having a birthday party which was very loud. Besides that the menu was very varied, I had the flatbread turkey Reuben and my wife the special Prime Rib, both were excellent and the waitress was great (we had to leave early and she accommodated us)

We stopped in on a Sunday evening for dinner before going bowling. We expected this to be a casual, Irish pub and were greeted by great, live Irish folk music the moment we walked in. The music and atmosphere was the best part of the evening actually. The food is pretty typical pub food and the beers are cold and delish! The interior decor was perfect - looking very authentic. The entertainers seem to just "gather" on Sunday evenings, bringing their authentic instruments to do a bit of a jam. There were about a dozen on the night we went and we were lucky enough to get a table near them. We really enjoyed it and will go back for a casual meal and hopefully have the same good fortune.

Waitress was polite. 1st round of cocktails took 20 minutes. Ordered food. Apps came out cold. A friend ordered a fillet, 20 minutes later she was told they were out, so she ordered the sirloin, 5 minutes later she was told they were out of that too. Dining area was LOUD! Waitress did remove a soup from the order for not having 2 items. Really!! a soup! No manager came to talk with us. Another waiter walked passed delivering a pasta dish and his thumb was in the pasta. Who is watching these servers? Apparently no one. We will never be going to any Molly McGuires again.

We went to Molly Maguires for my birthday and were pleased to hear Irish musicians and see Irish dancers. The food was delicious, our server was excellent. I am definitely going back again. The only problems were the uncomfortable chairs and the fact that we had to wait 20 minutes, even though we had a reservation.

We've been there several times and the food had been great. The last two times we were there, however, we've had a guy (relatively new) who has been less than efficient and friendly. I'd still go back because the food and beer list is great. I love the atmosphere. It reminds me of the place I wasn't born: Ireland.

We chose this location because of the Sunday Irish music from 4-8pm, along with the atmosphere. We arrived at 3pm, so the crowds were small. The menu selection was vast, including great irish dishes like shepherd's pie and cornbeef and cabbage. The big beautiful authentic-looking bar was a great addition (on both floors). The beer selection was good. The servers were all very nice, just very slow to serve despite the smaller crowd. They didn't seem to be in any hurry and needed to be reminded on a couple of occasions to replenish our beverages (which typically is the first thing they ask). They seemed to be used to a local clientele that were used to a slow and easy pace. Attire--very casual.

I ordered a gluten free meal since I have Celiac. The menu said my ribs came with mashed potatoes and baked beans. I got neither. The server said she didn't know if the mashed potatoes were GF. She offered a salad in its place. Then I remembered the beans but the server said it was only 1 side included, so I still never got those. A manager even came over and seemed just as clueless as the server as to what side items were gluten free. The ribs weren't even that good.

This was my boyfriend and I's first visit to Molly Maguire's in Downingtown. We had a great time. We had reservations for 8:30pm and we were seated right on the dot at 8:30pm. The drinks were a bit expensive, but tasty. The fried pickles are the best I have ever had! I got the veggie burger, which was delicious! It was more oats/beans than veggies, but it was tasty and the bun was buttered and toasted to perfection. My boyfriend got a "Rachel" with fries and loved both parts of his meal. The bar got crowded fast, but we just went to the 2nd floor bar where there were less people. Overall, it was a good experience and we will go back.

Great Irish food menu from Corned beef and cabbage to Irish Stew. Well prepared and delicious. And they know how to serve Guinness Ale and Irish Coffee. Fantastic building with several small private dining rooms.....a large banquet facility for large gatherings......and a wonderful bar if you are "parched". Not an expensive fine dining place.....but a fun evening out or place for a party. Food is well prepared and the service is very good. Love the décor.....and makes you feel like you are truly in Ireland!
