Mokomandy has become our favorite restaurant, especially for special occasions and for showing off to out of town guests that there are great restaurants outside of the city. Excellent food, great service and fantastic drinks. We love the potroast sliders and jambalaya. They also have a great kids menu with excellent steak, chicken tenders and fries. And the whole family loves the deserts, beignets are always great and when they have it the mochi cake is fantastic.

This was my second experience at Mokomandy, and I can't explain how impressed I am by the impeccable service and unique and outstanding food! This place is epic, which is even and understatement. Amazing Sunday brunch spot to bring friends and enjoy ginger-honey mimosas as well as snack portioned delicious bites! Service from the married couple, both husband and wife, is always impeccable and they are extremely knowledgeable on everything! Will be back for MUCH more!

I would consider this place a neighborhood gem. It is a small spot in a local shopping center close to my house. This restaurant is very unique and modern. The menu selection was very simple yet very interesting. There were several items on the menu I couldn't make up my mind on choosing because they all sounded so good. Presentation of the food was definitely on point. The food had the flavor but I do have one complaint. Our food was very salty. Not sure if this was a one time thing or if the dishes we ordered regularly come like that. The sliders were extremely delicious. I would give this restaurant a second try.

Came here on advice from a friend. Wow, what a find. Service was great and very attentive. Food was excellent. We had Kimchi Pancakes (a snack, but a great one, perfectly fried and served with a tasty soy based sauce.) Fois Gras Dumplings, (Thought they were burned when they arrived, it turned out to be Hoisin type glaze on the top. Very good, perfectly sized.) "Drago" style oysters (a bit of a miss here for me, I have had Drago's several times and they were just off the mark. The oysters were so big they overwhelmed the topping. The topping was also missing the zing of N.O. style foods.) House made noodles, (the shining star of our meal, every bite better than the last, we were scraping the bowl looking for more sauce and veggies.

A couple of snacks, a couple of small plates, and a couple of medium plates are a good template for four people on this unique menu. Kimchi pancakes are highly recommended, as well as the Wagyu steak tips. Fantastic craft beer list with lots of rare and local brews. Get Jalapeno hush puppies if they're available. Don't be turned off by the location (wedged between a Dunkin' Donuts and a karate studio). That's the camouflage that keeps Mokomandy a neighborhood secret. Can get crowded fast, even on weeknights, so reservations necessary.

Who would've thought that Korean and Cajun food could be so delicious! Just when you think you've got some idea about what the food may look or taste like, they put in a refreshing twist. It's truly fine food at a great price - sort of like one of those restaurants from an Anthony Bourdain episode.

The food was fab but the server seemed to be a bit overwhelmed. Erin was sweet but one of our orders was never placed then placed after we asked about it. Also, Erin removed a spoon from a dish and it dripped into a water glass. The guest at our table didn't complain; he just refrained from drinking out of it again. She had to have seen that! We felt a little neglected but overall I still love Mokomandy and will return.

We love this place. It's our go-to date night spot. There's always something new to try on the menu, though we tend to enjoy our favorites over and over again (kale chips, fava nuts, kimchi, deviled eggs, wild boar bowl, korean scallops, etc etc.) Absolutely LOVE the new Tuna, Veg and Egg dish. And the surf and turf dumplings. So yummy! Drinks are fabulous, too, with too many good choices and more added all the time. Def check 'em out!

Mokomandy is a smaller restaurant in a shopping plaza, but the food and service is that of a higher end city restaurant. The hostess and waitstaff were super friendly and accommodating. The food and drinks were incredible. We ordered the cracklins, surf and turf dumplings to share. The dumplings were delicious and I love the seasoning they put on their cracklins! They melted in your mouth. I had the beef bulgogi and OMG was the meat tender. It was probably the best Korean food I've had. My husband had the shrimp etouffe. The shrimp were cooked to perfection and the dish was flavorful but it could use a bit more heat. Overall, it was an amazing dinner and we'd definitely go back.

Mokomandy is such an inventive restaurant with a menu mixed with cajun and asian flavors. The menu has many tapas type options which allows you to try so many different dishes. Definitely check out the snacks and small plates and get ready to share. Definitely make a reservation for this restaurant, it is very small. The service was great, the waiter was quick to offer recommendations.

We stumbled upon Mokomandy via Yelp, and everything we read was spot on. This stylish restaurant, tucked in a strip mall in Lowes Island, serves a super creative Korean-Cajun menu that is out of this world. The drink list was just as fun - we had a hard time choosing what to get! Service was warm, friendly, and attentive. Prices were great. Dining room is light and airy. Each employee was friendly, helpful, and attentive to our needs. Hats off to the staff and the genius that does your hiring! They all made our first experience at Mokomandy very memoriable. The menu is designed to share, divided by size. My husband and I shared Korean Potroast Sliders, Foie Gras Dumplings, and Modern Korean Scallops. I had heard great things about Mokomandy so, when the opportunity came to dine out with friends who look for fantastic epicurean experiences, I booked a reservation. It did not disappoint. Everything we had was delicious - the Bulgogi was my favorite and the sliders were a very close second. The cocktails were original and amazing and the service was impeccable. The staff at Mokomandy really care about your dining experience and that is evident in the interest they take in your menu choices as well as the quality of the food.

We tried a mix of Korean and Cajun inspired dishes and they were all delicious! I love the way the menu is divided into snacks and small, medium and large plates--although some of the snacks turned out to be quite large! It makes it easy to share and experiment. Our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful, and even though it filled up, it was not too noisy, possible because we were in a corner table, but we remarked how nice it was not to have to shout. We will be going back even though getting there on a Friday night from Arlington was quite an adventure. We'll try early on Sunday evening next time!

You go for the food. Excellent menu with really vibrant and taste filled dishes. From small snacks to large plates you will find something new to love. The wild boar is to die for. The ambience is a little lacking but what can you expect from a restaurant in a strip mall. The food quality could definitely rival some similar DC restaurants however.

My friends and I dine often at Mokomandy and know it very well. This restaurant is a true gem in Potomac Falls but on the level of the highest DC, NYC or Palm Beach restaurant in everything .... cuisine, service, wine and cocktails, desserts. The small bites before dining are awesome. Kale chips (to-die-for), cucumbers, fries are a perfect companion to the selections on the fine wine list. I've sampled almost all of the medium and large plates and the presentation and taste are exquisite. Leave room for dessert and the French press coffee. Be sure to make a reservation and enjoy a fabulous dining experience!
