No matter what you order, everything is tasty, fresh and portions are just as you wish.. But this time, and for the first time, I was really desappointed by our service. The gentlemen never showed any smile on his face, he was "pushy" ( he came back about 5 times to take the order within the first 10 minutes), and when we decided to take only two glasses of wine you could see his negative reaction. I want to add again that it was my first negative experience on the service and I am a regular visitor at Moishes. I guess we all have some a bad day once in a while bur unfortunately, the client should not suffer from it!6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and service but...Moishes is a Montreal institution and a family favourite. My only compliant is the selection and price of wines by the glass. The wines available are good but not great and the selection is very limited. Equally irritating are the prices; $14 for a glass of Kim Crawford wine that retails for $20 a bottle at the SAQ ( government controlled liquor stores) - give me break. How about a Zinfandel by the glass and why not a Priorat or a premium Chilean Cabernet or South African wine? Maybe offer a flight option? The food is superb, the service on par with the best in the industry. Fans of Peter Luger, Ruth Chris and BLT should be very happy with the food.
