You would say send it back but my wife's food was already there and I didn't want her to have to wait. I know a multitude of other restaurants at witch I would have been much more satisfied with much less $$$. Sorry Moises I must spend my $$$ elsewhere ."

Le serveur nous a très bien conseiller de A à Z, meilleur service jamais eu dans un restaurant pour l'ensemble des employés. Recommander est le steak frite ou patate pillier Moishes et le steak vieilli, légumes grillés asperges excellent et le millefeuille avec le feuilleté si bon"

  • "The sirloin steak had too much fat in it. One would think, a 50$ piece of meat would have the fat trimmed off before serving it to he customer. Otherwise, the lambchops were delicious but tiny. This restaurant can take example from 40 westt in DDO. Also, we had requested the 9pm seating and we were told n/a. The dining room had many empty tables! We did not appreciate this deception and will not be returning. The best part of the evening was the easily accessable and free parking!"

  • "I was in Montreal for business and pleasure and had already eaten at two very nice restaurants, which I will not name here, and had not been impressed, especially considering I had been told that Montreal has some of THE best food anywhere. I was pleased beyond words to experience Moishes as my last dinner before returning to Houston (a town with its fair share of excellent restaurants). The service and attention to detail at Moishes were outstanding. Everything we ate was delicious. I had the filet and it was excellent. I highly recommend Moishes to my fellow OpenTable members and will make sure to return next time I'm in Montreal."

  • "I must admit that I was really looking forward to eating a steak at Moishes. The crab cake was great but the steaks were horrible. They didn't cook my steak or my girlfriend’s steak properly and we had to send them both back. I do not understand how a steak house cannot cook a steak properly. Not only did we both sit there at different times without a steak but the actual meat quality was poor and chewy. We will never go back. If we were offered maybe a drink or dessert on the house maybe it would have changed our opinion however all we received were dirty looks for returning the steaks."

  • "Once seated, I enjoyed my dinner at Moishes. Great cole slaw, pickles and the best rye bread I have had since childhood were a fine way I start the meal. I had a top notch crab cake as an appetizer followed by steak frites. The steak was beautifully cooked to my requested medium, and the fries were twice fried and crispy. Sadly, the key lime pie I ordered fell short of the mark as it was green in color and no key lime pie is that color without food colouring. I plan to return for a special occasion in the near future."

Perhaps they should have been asked by staff to respect the experience of other guests. It would also have been nice if every patron was properly attired.   • "our second visit to Moshes in 2 yearswe were all disappointed in the coleslaw- went from excellent to a very strange and nasty taste this year. 3 steak dinners all expensive. 2 excellent steaks.1 could have come from a "99 restaurant" and was sent back and removed from the check. nothing was offered to replace it. the service was excellent except for this major omission. the atmosphere was casual elegant although one dinner was out of place with his cap still on his head.one dessert of cheesecake was orderedand disappointed. not creamy-tasted like it was made from low fat milk.this is a Montreal experience that is best experienced only once."

The food is excellent, properly prepared well aged steak that is cooked over charcoal to give it that extra flavor I love. Very good wine list, though a bit lacking in more mature offerings. Service is variable - some waiters are exceptional but ours was not one of those. While everything is really good, you pay a lot, so this place gets four stars because while it is good, it is not the greatness one might expect at this price point."

  • "One aged rib eye + one glass of wine = 140$ (tax and service included). The steak was not cooked as requested and I had to return it. This is not acceptable when you are paying that kind of money in a steakhouse. Yes the meat was quite good, but certainly not the best I ever had in town. They are many places in Montreal where you can eat at least similar steak quality, for a much lower price without a "me, my and myself" ambiance."
