Et que Moishes soit l’un des hauts lieux de la gastronomie montréalaise depuis plus de 70 ans. D’après nous, c’est à cause du goût authentique des mets à l’ancienne qui figurent sur notre menu.

  • "I've been here on multiple location and this was the first time that the cut of meat was subpar reflecting the reduced price menu offered after 9pm. The steak was overcooked and not very tender. Definite failure for one of the top steak restos in the city..."

  • "Went here upon rave reviews of a classic steakhouse. What i found instead was a terribly loud, run of the mill restaurant. Ordered the rib steak medium rare and it was so salty that i could only take about 2 bites before deeming it inedible. I almost never send food back but this is one of those rare moments where i really felt cheated getting a terrible steak at a steakhouse. They were gracious and apologetic and prepared another one for me. This one was still salty but less so than the first. The problem with this one was that it was cooked really poorly. Dried out with a terrible sear, huge overcooked gray band out the outside, and completely raw on the inside. Filet minon poutine was terrible too i might add. Will not return."

  • "This was ours, my husband and mine, second visit to Moishes for dinner. The food was exquisite, just like what we had expected. The wait staff was patient, friendly and knowledgable. We had a few questions about the dinner and drink menu, which were all answered with great detail. I was also glad that one waitress recommended the dessert we ordered. I can't remember the name, but it's the very first one on the dessert menu. It was worth the trip. Looking forward to visiting this restaurant again, hopefully soon!"

  • "In my business, I travel throughout Canada. I have eaten steak in every province, and can honestly say I have never in 30 years enjoyed a cut of beef as much as I did at Moishes. The coleslaw, the pickles, even the licorice babies at the front entrance. Oh...I can't forget the most amazing chocolate cake EVER, big enough to share with a loved one(but you'll wish you hadn't). I can't wait to return to Montreal."

  • "We went to Moishes for their 3 hours to midnight special and were completely satisfied with the quality of the food served. The steak was high quality, I would say on the rare side for a "medium-rare." We decided not to send it back but our waiter assured us that it would not have been a problem to have it cooked for a few more minutes if we had wanted to. The coleslaw is one of the best I have ever had and the baked potato was amazing. However, we were rushed us to finish our entree, told that our steak would be coming very shortly and then left waiting a long time in between courses...The ambiance was very energetic with the sound level being quite high, great if you want to get in the mood to go out and party."

  • "The sirloin steak had too much fat in it. One would think, a 50$ piece of meat would have the fat trimmed off before serving it to he customer. Otherwise, the lambchops were delicious but tiny. This restaurant can take example from 40 westt in DDO. Also, we had requested the 9pm seating and we were told n/a. The dining room had many empty tables! We did not appreciate this deception and will not be returning. The best part of the evening was the easily accessable and free parking!"

You would say send it back but my wife's food was already there and I didn't want her to have to wait. I know a multitude of other restaurants at witch I would have been much more satisfied with much less $$$. Sorry Moises I must spend my $$$ elsewhere ."

I was pleased beyond words to experience Moishes as my last dinner before returning to Houston (a town with its fair share of excellent restaurants). The service and attention to detail at Moishes were outstanding. Everything we ate was delicious. I had the filet and it was excellent. I highly recommend Moishes to my fellow OpenTable members and will make sure to return next time I'm in Montreal."
