Our kids live in Indy and this was their first time going so I asked for a table upstairs by the window and that's where we were seated...great table with a beautiful view! Our server, Bennett, was the best! We were not rushed and he was very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient! We were pleased with the appetizers, drinks and meals and can't wait to return.

It is a short walk from Fountain Square on a warm spring day, and we really enjoyed the area. I enjoyed the filet, which was served with cheddar mashed potatoes and green beans, and my husband also liked his prime rib. While eating, we watched the boats on the river and kids playing in the park. We had an infant with us and they set us up in an area that had plenty of room for the high chair. The food is a little pricey, but very delicious and completely worth it. It is a well run resturant that makes incredible food and wonderful beer. The beer sets it apart from other good places. The service has always been good as well. Probably would have been good had I been expecting it, but not mentioned on the menu. We started with the fried dill pickles. They were really good. The Spicy Corn Chowder was also good and the temperature was perfect--sometimes when the soup is too cold, it is terrible. I had a flatbread that was very good and my wife had the pork shank which she enjoyed. The beer was fantastic too. The prices were reasonable and the service was excellent. If you can score one if the window seats, that is a plus. In a nutshell: brand new, new concept, fresh and expertly managed.
Negative: parking, especially during a Reds game. $12 parking, and the closer spots were reserved for Reds VIP parking. These spots were mostly empty, and we ended up parking near the far end. At least we could walk inside until taking the stairs to the main entrance. Our waitress was awesome and so knowledgable about all the beers which I personally needed since I'm not a huge beer drinker. She guided me to the perfect choice. We made it a seafood night - spicy shrimp for appetizer and for dinner salmon and crab cakes - total YUM! Service was fast and friendly, and she gave us plenty of time to enjoy our experience. Definitely the place to go before the Reds game. I love that you take reservations and they run very close to on time. This past time I made reservations for a party of 6. My husband is deaf in one ear and I put this on the seating request. When I called back to confirm, they told me we had a booth upstairs which is on the perimeter and quieter then downstairs. When we got there, they tried to seat us at a large square table right outside the bar. When I explained about my husband, they could not have been nicer. We did have to wait for 20 minutes but they did indeed seat us at a booth upstairs. I appreciate they way it was handled and how nice they were about it. Beer menu was not on our table when we ordered drinks, and I may have been more adventurous if I had seen it before I had already ordered the Moerlein OTR.
