Our water boy was very attentive, unlike our server who was hard to fine, spent as little time with us as possible and basically was not interested in us our his service. My sword fish was definitely lack luster in both flavor and presentation. My husband's pasta and chicken was horrible.

The food here is excellent, but they need to work on the service. I've been going there for years and the service has always been sub-par. It just seems that the staff is spread too thin. They are nice, but to wait 15 minutes just to hear the specials and order a drink is not acceptable. And I shouldn't have to constantly ask for a refill on my iced tea.

It is subdued vibe, but they have tables big enough for a group, or small tables for a couple. there was a happy group of 4 people, and a family there. We enjoyed all the food-sald, raviolit, fish and especially chocolate tart dessert. Wine by the glass is fair. all in all, very nice.

We went for Valentines day, first time, and really enjoyed it. Homemade gnocchi was outstanding, salad was great, and fresh vegetable soup excellent. The linguini con vongole (clams) was enjoyable, but not on the same level as the other items. And the bill, with 1 glass of wine, was extremely reasonable. We'll definitely be back.

We were out walking on the beach, wanted a nice meal but also were in t-shirts & cargo pants. The staff @ Modo Mio told us no problem, sat us right away and we had one of the loveliest dinners we've had in a long while. I found this restaurant randomly on Open Table and chose it because of the menu. Service was impeccable, food was divine. Highly recommend. Try the Del Padre risotto - and, their tiramisu is to die for.

Hadn't been to Modo Mio for a while and forgot how incredible the foods, how comfortable atmosphere is and how great the service is. The linquini with shrimp special (although it is always avalable) was sensational as was the other pasta dish. Their tricolore salad is always a winner and the wines by the glass are great. It will be a regular on our restaurant circuit once again. It really is a neighborhood gem.

The staff here are so helpful. I forgot the caregiver for one of our group of 13 and they immediately pulled up another table and smoothly served us. The food is wonderful. We all wanted a bite of the pumpkin ravioli and they brought us a plate to share. I find the prices very reasonable. Thanks Modo Mio.

Excellent food and service. Restaurant is off a side street and in a multi story office building. The Branzino was excellent, the vegitables were fresh, hot and crisp. The veal scallipini was perfectly done. The wine list is very nice and accommodating with some unusual brands as well as classic Italian varieties, the pricing is fair, the corkage is a little on the high side at $18 for this type of restaurant. The regular tables are somewhat small, there was three of us and the table was crowded, with four it would have been very crowded. If you plan on going for dinner after 6:30, reservations are highly recommended as the restaurant isn't large and fills easily with a repeat crowd. Yes, would recommend.

Modo Mio is a wonderful restaurant that we have dined at many, many times. It has a romantic, rustic ambience with a very low noise level. You can converse during dinner in a normal tone of voice. It's perfect for dinner for two or larger celebrations. The food is consistently delicious and well prepared, and they always have a few good nightly specials. One nice touch is that they bring either a plate of mushrooms marinated in lemon juice and olive oil, or bruschetta to the table at no charge. The prices are very reasonable for the quality. We recommend it highly.

A lovely space where one can actually hear their table partners and enjoy good food well prepared(salmon and chicken). Service good, but hospitality could be better. The feeling of Italy would be improved if the hostess left her perch behind the check in and walked guests to the door with a warm thank you and come again message rather that shout good bye from her stand.

The restaurant was convenient following a trip to the Getty Villa. We were well received and seated at a quiet table. We ordered a wine of which they were out. Our waitress suggested another which, on tasting, was not suitable and was returned. She no longer returned to wait on us and another was substituted. We ordered another bottle, again of which they were out. We finally settled on a chardonnay. The Fall Menu special was incomplete, as they were out of ravioli and made no substitute. Except for one order, the remainder were mediocre or unacceptable. The dessert was fine. I cannot recommend this restaurant

I went there with my parents one quiet afternoon for lunch. The restaurant was very quiet and the service was good (it might be different during prime times). My mom ordered seafood risotto, and she liked it very much. She loves seafood risotto, and she said this was her best. To me the portion was small (she is from Europe, so for her the size wasn't an issue, since there the portions are smaller). I ordered ravioli, and was very disappointing. There were 5 ravioli pieces with a dry sauce. It was like a joke, and paid 10 bucks for this little plate. I could do better at home. My dad's pasta dish was very dry too. It was missing sauce, and seasoning. Also, our appetizer dish was another disappointment.
